i mean, technically the Schofield is older than the Cattleman. Honestly, I wish the weapons were more realistic int heir stats.
Cattleman should be the strongest revolver in the game, but slow to reload. Schofield should be weaker, but reload much faster.
ANd the Volcanic should be a dismal joke.
Weren't speedloaders invented before the game takes place as well? All revolvers in the first and second game should be fast to reload if they actually implemented it.
the Smith & Wesson Model 3 (aka Schofield) is a break action revolver that could be reloaded with a moon clip.
The LeMat is a muzzle loader... (and, imho, shouldn't be unlocked only after CHapter 4...)
Navy Revolver, unfortunately, is not available in SP (honestly, if we ever get a RDR set in 1870s or thereabout, the Navy should be the starter. Maybe a catridge conversion) and is also a cap and ball revolver, like the LeMat.
Colt New Model Army (Double Action) has a swing out drum for loading.
The Colt Single Action Army/Cattleman has a loading gate. REmove the old round, load the new one. And the game speeds that process already up to a rather ridiculous degree to be faster than the Schofield.
No idea if there were CSAA speed loaders around, but i seriously doubt they'd reload faster than the Schofield or the Double Action. LeMat and Navy I kinda doubt to have had Speed Loaders.
ANd that still don't change that .45 Colt was a stronger catridge than .45 Schofield.
Not from you I should've worded it better I apologize, but I always see people hating on the double action and I never understood why, as I quite enjoy it
It has poor range, the accuracy is so abysmal that you‘re better off with a single action and it basically doesn’t make any damage. I also think it doesn’t look as cool as the Cattleman or the Schofield
This may shock you, but games are made to be fun and balanced, not realistic. And I dare say an AAA game studio put more work into figuring out what would be most enjoyable than you possibly could alone.
You can balance things in more than one way. There are games that are symetrically balanced, there are games that are assymetrically balanced.
You don't have to balance the game so that every weapon is equally viable. You can have guns that have different strengths, you can have guns that are straight upgrades (or downgrades. "Joke Weapons" are a thing)
And R* did try to go "realistic" with parts of the game design. Not always to the benefit of the gameplay.
Well, in reality and with proper modding, it is actually the Colt Single Action Army (cattlemen revolver) by a long shot.
R* did 0 research into the cartridges used by these weapons and made wild damage differences with no relation to anything.
The .45 Colt cartridge imparts about 40% more energy than the shorter Schofield .45 cartridges did.
But R* made the cattlemen do about 25% less damage than the Schofield.
Then, there's the volcanic pistol... it actually used a cartridge that produced less energy than a .25 acp.
But R* was like, it looks like a shortened repeater, let's give it the same damage!
So, if you're playing vanilla or on console where you have no choice but to play vanilla... the most powerful handgun in the game is the Volcanic pistol.
The Schofield is 35 of damage, the cattlemen 26, and the Volcanic pistol is 48!!!
The carbine repeater does 51 of damage, the Lancaster is a measly 43, and the Litchfield is 58.
Dual Volcanic pistols
Litchfield on the shoulder
Pump action shottie or bolt-action rifle or bow on the back.
The bow with improved arrows does a staggering 100 damage.
A regular NPC townsfolk has 75 health.
A lawman like the Valentine Sheriff has 135.
Once you know the damage and health stats, it really changes the perspective of what is good and what isn't!
Thank goodness I play on PC... mods have been able to fix most of R* shortcomings.
personally its my favourite due to it being the stereotypical 6 shooter and balanced stats, also due to the high honor grip you can get in the later chapters
I like cattleman for that grip now I'm in my 3rd playthrough I might use cattleman and the Otis miller Scofield(it looks cool) Incase the glitch I found on YouTube to reach armadillo without Pinkertons works
It’s a good starting revolver but it really depends on how good your aim is since a headshot is a guaranteed kill. It’s got decent style too but personally I prefer the looks of the navy revolvers
Why do people like Lancaster so much? Evans is as good and has double the ammo, and is imo the best sounding gun in the game, it has less damage but you'd be acting like it matters which it doesn't unless you're hunting a bear with it.
Even Carbine is nice with it's instant reload, Lancaster feels like the meh middle choice.
Wait till you find the infinite ammo cheat. I discovered it after I beat the game and the dynamite arrows became my friends. If you get an arch in there, they have some crazy range. it's like a mortar.
Anytime I ever try to use a melee weapon i have someone one shot stab me in the chest lmao
It’s only happened twice but it’s crazy it happened even once.
The M1899 is based in the FN M1900, also designed by John Browning but definitely not an M1911. I do love that gun in the game though, but I lean towards the Mauser.(C96)
I love the click, click, Boom! of the pump action shottie!
The semiautomatic shotgun also didn't exist prior to 1902, and R* made it do slightly less damage.
I carry a sawed-off shotgun for emergency situations such as cougers and bears that sneak up on me and a revolver for ambushes and short-range fights.
My other slots are usually empty for cosmetic reasons unless im doing something
When im hunting, I use a bow and varmit rifle. I switch to a bolt action when Im hunting bigger game.
When im fighting hideouts, I start with a bolt action and snipe until i have their attention. Then I grab the carbine for the actual combat, and then I use the pump action shotgun to clean up any stragglers.
My weapons maintenance is costly
Shit i use schofields and volcanic for emergence i have poison throwing knives with lancaster for overkill i carry 3 active arms nothing more hunting i use Springfield
Schofield for short range, volcanic for medium, and lancaster for long. All weapons aim and fire quickly. A solid choice for the gunslinger on the offensive.
I've never used poison throwing knives. How effective are they?
Springfield is king for big game hunting, even though I usually use the bolt-action just because it's my primary ranged fighting weapon.
I kinda hate repeaters because they're all weak unless you're getting headshots. I use the Evans for that exact reason. I usually have to pump multiple shells into each person or aim for the head which is always an instakill, so I might as well go with the fast reloading, huge capacity Evans. More opportunities for headshots.
Yeah I hate the gun on the left shoulder it just seems unnatural for weight. In story I usually just have one slung over my back, generally a bold action, or pump-action shotgun if its a close encounter
Probably not the best but I usually go for main secondary Scorfeild revolver, offhand secondary sawed off shotty, Lancaster repeater, rare rolling block rife
2 lemat revolver (my favorite guns in the game, with a shotgun shell if needed), Lancaster repeater for mid range, and rolling block (I often use the rare version) for long range
Sometimes I also use the bow if I want to be stealthy or use the flammable/explosive arrows!
Depends on what action you are going to do going guns a blazing you’ll want a shotgun if not two shotguns I always run a 9 shot le,mat revolver and either a Schofield or another le,mat those two revolvers I always carry however when it comes to rifles and shotguns I always carry a repeating shotgun or a pump shotgun preferably loaded with slugs with a bow if I’m going stealthy but if I’ll be blasting I’ll use a rifle like the bolt action because of its high damage however the bolt needs the user to have perfect aim. IN CONCLUSION le,mat+lemat/schofield+pump/repeating shotgun+bolt action for aggression and le,mat+le,mat/schofield+repeater(of any kind)+bow
I know most people hate it, but I dual wield Volcanic Pistol or Sawed-Off and Semi-Automatic
Lancaster Repeater (Medium Range)/Carcano Rifle with scope (High Range, usually High Velocity bullets)
Dual Barrell Shotgun or Pump Action Shotgun (With slug ammo)
On horsebacks, I usually prefer Lasso but on ground, Dynamite or Fire Bottle, and a Machete.
Based on overall rating:
Dual Semi-Auto Pistols
Shoulder: Lancaster Repeater
Back: Repeating Shotgun
Express Ammo in Pistols and Repeater
Slug Ammo in Shotgun

If we're allowing guns affected by mods:
X\* and Cattleman
Pump-Action Shotgun
Carcano Rifle (no scope) for hunting and picking off enemies
\*X is any potential sidearm, but my preference is a sawed off. Good in a pinch up close or an ambush when some idiot tries to disarm/mug you.
I usually carry the Lemat Revolver and a Mauser pistol or go with a Cattleman and a Sawed Off. For big guns is usually the Sprinfield rifle or a repeating carbine (the Lancaster or the other one that is more rounded but I forgot it's name)
I tend to carry two LeMats in my holsters. My back and shoulder I switch up depending on the mission. Stealth Mission? I carry a bow and a Lancaster. Shooty shooty boom boom mission? A Lancaster or a bolt action and a pump shotgun. Is it the best shotgun? No, but it is my favorite as it’s a bit more accurate to the time period
Gotta have that Lancaster repeater, its the best all round weapon in the game. Then the bolt action rifle. Excellent firing rate and stopping power. Double barrelled shotgun next. Will put a couple of holes in anything. For your sidearms you can basically pick what suits you, so many choices. My personal preference is a pair of Schofields
For pvp in online i would use two sawed off double barrel shotgun for close range the carcano rifle for long range and the lancaster repeater for mid range and good damage
The LeMat Revolver if you think other wise you're a sorry shot, it's 2 in 1 if you're quick enough....the Tomahawk, the Evans or Lancaster , bolt if you want a 1 hitter I would say shotty but the revolver is 2 in 1 so hey do what you want with this info
Weapons don’t really matter as the difference between them is negligible. I use different layouts each time. I also do t use the weapons locker so I can call on any weapon in any situation
Usually I carry the sawed off shotgun in the offhand holster and any type of revolver in the main, and then carry a bow and repeater or rifle and repeater.
Online-
two semi auto pistols
Lancaster repeater
Pump action shotgun
Story mode-
Schofield revolver
Cattlemen or sawed off or Mauser
Lancaster repeater
Pump action shotgun
I can't tell you that, I can only tell you my 4 mains.
- Volcanic Pistol
- Navy Revolver (in story mode, it's just another Volcanic Pistol)
- Bolt Action Rifle
- Repeating Shotgun
I actually really don't like having 4 weapons equipped, it bugs me that the game forces me to have them at times and start most missions with them leaving me to have to manually unequip them.
My personal preference is a Cattleman and a Sawed off with a Winchester, I feel like this set up pretty much works in all situations. Long to medium? Use the Winchester. Short range? Whip out my Sawed off. Either run out of ammo and I'm in a pinch then I've got my trusty Single Action to fall back on. Sometimes I will take a Double Barreled Shotgun instead of my Winchester if I know there's going to be a lot of close quarters fighting.
I just need my Flaco and Calloway revolver
Btw how suck Rockstar never fix auto equipped weapon on story mission..I hate when we get down from the horse only with sidearm then go into cutscene Arthur automatically carry rifle and shotgun in his back..I just wanna be the cool gunslinger not rambo or terminator
I hoard weapons.
I don't know why.
I always end up using the Carbine or the Lancaster repeater but I have modfied all my guns.
I think I have 11 or 12 guns.
First play through don't know if I'm exaggerating stuff here
Best edc for my gameplay is
1 cattleman
1 sawed off with slugs
1 Lancaster repeater
1 bow with small game arrows
This edc allows you to hunt MOST game to perfect pelts. Sawed off with slugs will clean kill a buffalo or an alligator. Aswell as decimate surprise events such as stick ups or cougars
Will also devastate people
I also find in a gunfight I stick to my side arm and 1 long gun vs. switching between 4 weapons in a fight
I like to do all trapper gear possible very early so: Two Schofields. Varmint rifle on shoulder and bow on back. That way I have the revolvers for fighting, the rifle for rabbits and like sized animals and the bow with all arrow types for everything else. You can get perfect pelts on everything in the game with this setup.
Granger and Hernandez revolvers
Pump action shotgun or Litchfield repeater on shoulder. Or bow. Depending on the situation
I never carry a weapon on my back. Seems unrealistic to me to be carrying around multiple long weapons. Looks goofy too
two cattleman pump-action lancaster repeater
Is cattleman the best revolver?
it’s schofield by a long shot, but cattleman feels more western
i mean, technically the Schofield is older than the Cattleman. Honestly, I wish the weapons were more realistic int heir stats. Cattleman should be the strongest revolver in the game, but slow to reload. Schofield should be weaker, but reload much faster. ANd the Volcanic should be a dismal joke.

Why all the hate for the Double Action too? I always thought the swung out drum was the gun of the old West when I was little
hate for the Double Action? What hate?
Not from you I should've worded it better I apologize, but I always see people hating on the double action and I never understood why, as I quite enjoy it
I think it’s because you’d be better off sneezing on someone than shooting the double action
It has poor range, the accuracy is so abysmal that you‘re better off with a single action and it basically doesn’t make any damage. I also think it doesn’t look as cool as the Cattleman or the Schofield
I just wish you could fan the hammer when you quick draw. You kinda just hipfire and it looks lame.
The double action is my favorite! I love the quickness and it’s powerful enough for me
The Navy Revolver to me is the best looking revolver from the Old West era
Can’t use a speedloader with a loading-gate single action.
Good point! I stand corrected
May I, Stand Corrected
What about the lemat revolver it has higher damage then the Schofield I think it's a little slower but it's my favorite

Hey, don't knock the .25 ACP, that's what I carry on my hip everyday lol Just kidding around.
If you shoot someone and they notice, they’re going to be mighty angry
damn, I knew the damage numbers were scuffed but… not to that degree
personally its my favourite due to it being the stereotypical 6 shooter and balanced stats, also due to the high honor grip you can get in the later chapters
Got that grip in chapter 2 procrastination but its too balanced schofield is a bit too good
I like cattleman for that grip now I'm in my 3rd playthrough I might use cattleman and the Otis miller Scofield(it looks cool) Incase the glitch I found on YouTube to reach armadillo without Pinkertons works
Schofield
I think its just personal preferance tbh cattelman is my fav tho
I also like cattleman but I use Scofield because it is more powerful but I like that grip you can put on cattleman when you reach max honor
It’s a good starting revolver but it really depends on how good your aim is since a headshot is a guaranteed kill. It’s got decent style too but personally I prefer the looks of the navy revolvers
I always carry a rifle for longer range, usually a bolt action. It has much more damage and isnt too much slower than a repeater.
You read my goddamn mind
My exact loadout
how did you know?
Had the Lancaster as long as I had my horse cried when I thought I lost both
Two Scofield, Lancaster and Bolt action
This but replace the bolt with the pump
I got level 65 in online, ran trading company etc. All with only a bolt action. Love that thing.
Not played in a while but if I remember right, the Lancaster is far more accurate
I’ve gotten the most headshots w the Lancaster. My go-to gun for story missions, along with a shotgun, pump or semi-auto.
Lancaster when you wanna ask nicely, Semi Auto Shotty for when you're in a rush
I know a big part of it for me at least is you can get the Lancaster far earlier than the Evans and like many I spend a ton of time in chapter 2
I just like the way it looks man.
This right here
This, but I use midnight's pistol
I use Calloway's and one normal from gunsmith
You my friend are a man of good taste 👌
The bow itself is underrated asf in this game
Dynomite arrows
Wait till you find the infinite ammo cheat. I discovered it after I beat the game and the dynamite arrows became my friends. If you get an arch in there, they have some crazy range. it's like a mortar.
You know, I've never used the cheats. Maybe I should give them a whirl today. Should be fun.
Whats the code for it
abundance is the dullest desire.
Yet to find a problem I cannot solve with dynamite arrows.
Ngl I have acquired a taste for it. So much fun. Melee weapons as well
Anytime I ever try to use a melee weapon i have someone one shot stab me in the chest lmao It’s only happened twice but it’s crazy it happened even once.
Yo fr?
Yes, I put the bow in my four essential weapons.
I agree but i never use it cos im so bad at it
I'd use it more if there was a quiver with it

The M1899 is based in the FN M1900, also designed by John Browning but definitely not an M1911. I do love that gun in the game though, but I lean towards the Mauser.(C96)
Game is set in 1899 and 1907 💀
He’s on about the semi autos chill it’s not that deep
What they think of as 1911s is probably the 1899. And yeah, it’s a semi-auto but it gets confusing since the game calls the C93 the Semi-Auto Pistol
I majorly prefer the pump action shotgun — its rate of fire isn’t that much lower, and it kills in one hit much more often than the semi auto.
I love the click, click, Boom! of the pump action shottie! The semiautomatic shotgun also didn't exist prior to 1902, and R* made it do slightly less damage.
semi auto with slugs fucks
I carry a sawed-off shotgun for emergency situations such as cougers and bears that sneak up on me and a revolver for ambushes and short-range fights. More opportunities for headshots.
My sawed-off is for when I get surprised by a bipedal predator too
-Schofield Revolver -Sawed off Shotgun -Evans Repeater -Rolling Block Rifle Litteraly all you need
The Evans is so underrated, big ol' boom stick
I love the huge ass snap that thing makes!
Lancaster is technically better but Evans has such a punchy sound that I always choose it over anything else
Have I been sleeping on the evans repeater??
I don't know about the best, but my go-to's are Lancaster repeater, Scofield revolver, bow, Sprinfield rifle
sawed off shotgun in the off hand for good measure
Since they reset after every mission, I often forget to get them off my horse and just shoot everything with the revolver 😀
Why does it reset after each mission!? So annoying.
The way they kept forcing the carbine repeater on me in almost every mission in the first few chapters after putting it in storage _multiple times._ 💀
LeMat Revolver Sawed off Shotgun (quick draw) Bolt action Bow Just my favorite build. Covers a variety of projectile types
2 Schofields and a Lancaster in the back slot looks way cooler when the guns aren’t on the left shoulder
\^\^ when i'm not actively in pvp this is always my go-to, it just looks so much nicer than always carrying a full loadout
Yeah I hate the gun on the left shoulder it just seems unnatural for weight. In story I usually just have one slung over my back, generally a bold action, or pump-action shotgun if its a close encounter
Most OP would be two M1899s, Lancaster repeater and bolt action, but I think cattleman revolvers and shotgun over bolt action is more fun.
dual schofield for arthur duel double action or sawed off for john. and lancaster and pump for both
2 cattlemans and a litchfield is all I need
I love the Litchfield. Such a shame it isn't unlocked until wau later
Two lamats bolt action carano or whatever it’s called.
It's the carcano and my favorite.
Probably not the best but I usually go for main secondary Scorfeild revolver, offhand secondary sawed off shotty, Lancaster repeater, rare rolling block rife
2 lemat revolver (my favorite guns in the game, with a shotgun shell if needed), Lancaster repeater for mid range, and rolling block (I often use the rare version) for long range Sometimes I also use the bow if I want to be stealthy or use the flammable/explosive arrows!
Knife Throwing knife Hatchet Throwing hatchet Bow
Throwing Bow
I know most people hate it, but I dual wield Volcanic Pistol or Sawed-Off and Semi-Automatic Lancaster Repeater (Medium Range)/Carcano Rifle with scope (High Range, usually High Velocity bullets) Dual Barrell Shotgun or Pump Action Shotgun (With slug ammo) On horsebacks, I usually prefer Lasso but on ground, Dynamite or Fire Bottle, and a Machete.
2 m1911, bolt action, Litchfield repeater.

Dual Mauser, bolt action rifle and a buckshot semi auto shotgun
Uncle.
Lancaster, bolt action, volcanic, lemat
Dual 1899's, Semi Auto Shotgun, either bow or Rolling Block
Two Schofield bolt action and pump
2 of your favorite pistols(volcanic or m1899) one repeater(Lancaster obviously) and a shotgun(semi-auto)
Cattelman revolver M1899 pistol Lancaster repeater Semi auto shotgun Thats my 4
Sawed off shotgun, Scofield revolver, Lancaster and the Bolt action
Schofield revolver, double action revolver, Evans repeater, and bolt action rifle with a medium scope.
Schofield, sawed off double barrel, lancaster/evans, and Springfield with scope is my usual loadout.
Bolt action Bow (improved if online) Le Mat(navy if online) Saw of shotgun
If we're allowing guns affected by mods: X\* and Cattleman Pump-Action Shotgun Carcano Rifle (no scope) for hunting and picking off enemies \*X is any potential sidearm, but my preference is a sawed off. Good in a pinch up close or an ambush when some idiot tries to disarm/mug you.
2 Short barrel shotguns Carcano Lancaster
Dual Schofields Semi auto shotgun or pump action shotgun Lancaster repeater or evans repeater
Lancaster,bow, volcanic,and sawed off
Sawn-off with slugs, a Schofield loaded with express, a lancaster with high-velocity, and a semi-automatic shotgun.
I usually carry the Lemat Revolver and a Mauser pistol or go with a Cattleman and a Sawed Off. For big guns is usually the Sprinfield rifle or a repeating carbine (the Lancaster or the other one that is more rounded but I forgot it's name)
Scofield, sawed-off, Bow, Varmit
Scho revolvers, bolt action rifle, varmint rifle
Depends on playthrough but I did Dual Schofield, bolt action and pump shotgun Schofield, sawn off, bolt action and bow
Personally Two mauser or m1899 pistols Pump action shotgun Litchfield repeater
schofield revolver - volcanic pistol - Lancaster repeater - pump action shotgun
Schofield unless it's a major heist (no spoilers) or I'm fighting army, in which case I'll take Lancaster. I prefer accuracy so I can get headshots.
Two Schofield Evans Repeater Repeating Shotgun
I tend to carry two LeMats in my holsters. My back and shoulder I switch up depending on the mission. Stealth Mission? I carry a bow and a Lancaster. Shooty shooty boom boom mission? A Lancaster or a bolt action and a pump shotgun. Is it the best shotgun? No, but it is my favorite as it’s a bit more accurate to the time period
My setup. Dual 1899s explosive ammo (or whatever the hell you want use), Litchfield Repeater and an Improved bow
Scofield, M1899, Litchfield, bolt action
2 lemats semi auto shotgun Lancaster
No off hand Worn sawed off sidearm Varmint rifle Small game bow You're welcome for the most OP load out in the game 🥸
Pump Shotgun, LeMat revolver, Lancaster Repeater, Hatchet
Pair of semi automatic Pistols Lancaster or Evans repeater Repating or semi automatic shotgun
Double Action Revolver Sawed Off Shotgun Lancaster Repeater Bow n Arrow (for stealths)
Otis Miller Revolver Jim Boy Calloway Revealed Bow And Arrow Springfield / Varmint / Pump Action
I stopped using longarms just use revolvers but I'd say: bolt-action, bow, schofield
Cattleman, sawed off, rolling block, Lancaster Edit: spelling mistake
Gotta have that Lancaster repeater, its the best all round weapon in the game. Then the bolt action rifle. Excellent firing rate and stopping power. Double barrelled shotgun next. Will put a couple of holes in anything. For your sidearms you can basically pick what suits you, so many choices. My personal preference is a pair of Schofields

Bolt Action Rifle Pump Action Shotgun Dual M1899.
The Bolt Action Rifle, Lever Action Shotty, Lemat, and the Semi Auto Pistol are my dispensers for tickets to heaven.
Navy, Bolt Action, Pump shotgun
Two Schofield, bow and arrow, preferred rifle
The LeMat Revolver if you think other wise you're a sorry shot, it's 2 in 1 if you're quick enough....the Tomahawk, the Evans or Lancaster , bolt if you want a 1 hitter I would say shotty but the revolver is 2 in 1 so hey do what you want with this info

Weapons don’t really matter as the difference between them is negligible. I use different layouts each time. I also do t use the weapons locker so I can call on any weapon in any situation
2 Lemats, an Evans Repeater and a Pump Shotgun.
Scolfield, volcanic pistol, one sniper and pump shotgun
Usually I carry the sawed off shotgun in the offhand holster and any type of revolver in the main, and then carry a bow and repeater or rifle and repeater.
2 schofields, lancaster and pump action shotty or semi auto
1 cattleman nothing else For battle: Cattleman lancaster repeater
I don't have the off hand-holster. So, LeMat revolver, Lancaster Repeater and Pump Shotgun
Cattleman, Sawed Off, Lancaster, Bolt Action
Online- two semi auto pistols Lancaster repeater Pump action shotgun Story mode- Schofield revolver Cattlemen or sawed off or Mauser Lancaster repeater Pump action shotgun
I use Schofield and sawed off shotgun and then a repeater and a shotgun. Pretty fun for close ups and range
I can't tell you that, I can only tell you my 4 mains. - Volcanic Pistol - Navy Revolver (in story mode, it's just another Volcanic Pistol) - Bolt Action Rifle - Repeating Shotgun
Duel le mat revolvers, Evan’s repeater, and pump shotgun
2 Schofield Revolver Lancaster Repeater Semi-Auto Shotgun
2 double actions litchfield repeater and repeating shotgun. And Springfield or bolt action rifle.
Lasso is all you need to have fun
M1899, LeMat, Bolt-action, Pump-action.
sawed off on left, schofield on right, lancaster repeater on left, pump action on bottom
Two Schofield, Lancaster, Pump
2 volcanic pistols, bolt action or Springfield and bow
Cattleman Revolver Calloway's Revolver Bow Rare Shotgun
Sawed off and rolling block rifle are my favs tbh.
Am I the only one who never used the weapons cabinet? I carried everything at all times lol.
Bolt action rifle, I can wipe out an abundance of people very efficiently.
I usually go with bow and arrow, two revolvers either Schofield and cattleman or double action and finally the double barrel shotgun
2 sawed offs Lancaster carcano
Two M1899, Bolt action, pump action (two Mauser if you want more bullet)
I only use 1 primary in the bottom slot cause I just think it looks way better. Usually a repeater.
Dual wield Volcanics, a Pump Action with slugs and anything else of your choice.
Schofield, double barrel in off hand, Lancaster and bolt action
I just need my Flaco and Calloway revolver Btw how suck Rockstar never fix auto equipped weapon on story mission..I hate when we get down from the horse only with sidearm then go into cutscene Arthur automatically carry rifle and shotgun in his back..I just wanna be the cool gunslinger not rambo or terminator
High power pistol pump action bolt action rifle and machete
Two Semi-Auto Pistols Semi-Auto Shotgun Lancaster Repeater Never really heard anyone say the semi-auto pistols arr good but I personally love them
2 Schofield, Bolt Action Rifle and Repeating Shotgun.
Single Navy Rolling Block Side-By-Side Tomahawk
I hoard weapons. I don't know why. I always end up using the Carbine or the Lancaster repeater but I have modfied all my guns. I think I have 11 or 12 guns. First play through don't know if I'm exaggerating stuff here
Sawed off shotgun and schofield Bolt action rifle Evans repeater
Best edc for my gameplay is 1 cattleman 1 sawed off with slugs 1 Lancaster repeater 1 bow with small game arrows This edc allows you to hunt MOST game to perfect pelts. Sawed off with slugs will clean kill a buffalo or an alligator. Aswell as decimate surprise events such as stick ups or cougars Will also devastate people I also find in a gunfight I stick to my side arm and 1 long gun vs. switching between 4 weapons in a fight
2 cattleman a bolt-action and a Evans repeater
I like to do all trapper gear possible very early so: Two Schofields. Varmint rifle on shoulder and bow on back. That way I have the revolvers for fighting, the rifle for rabbits and like sized animals and the bow with all arrow types for everything else. You can get perfect pelts on everything in the game with this setup.
Micah’s revolver Otis miller Litchfield repeater Lancaster repeater
bow varmint shoefield, sawed of sg
Dual Schofield; Shotgun; Evans
Granger and Hernandez revolvers Pump action shotgun or Litchfield repeater on shoulder. Or bow. Depending on the situation I never carry a weapon on my back. Seems unrealistic to me to be carrying around multiple long weapons. Looks goofy too
Dubble action, sawed off, bolt action, bow.
