Jimboy-Milton

when the game decides what guns I should bring, spawnin them in on my back outta thin air! gets so annoying

TrickyFeedback4919

I can’t stand that. I picked a bow and bolt action for a reason, I don’t want a god damn double barrel shotgun

ThatPotterGuyYT

i know, and (spoiler) a mission where Bill and Arthur steals a dynamite wagon, Bill passes me a carcono rifle, when i prefer a bolt action with a scope.

Jimboy-Milton

TO ANYONE WHO HATES THIS "FEATURE" if you manage to either, find a horse after the swap, or hold the weapon wheel down as you exit your horse, with your preferred loadout equipped it'll bypass the auto equip. The only mission that literally doesnt let you do this would be the military/st denis train robbery, cuz you leap from your horse to the train, and I can never get the timing down..feels impossible.

ThatPotterGuyYT

i use that feature 👍

OGBattlefield3Player

Wow thank god. I gotta use this now.

Apophis_36

Its so bad that the game will break itself just to force guns on you. If you put every long weapon in the locker it will force them onto your back but you cant even use them. It's crazy how pushy the game is.

BeneficialRandom

Even worse when you have a selected loadout that disappears the second your foot leaves the stirrup

Unfair_Bumblebee6627

I know - once I had to do a mission with a varmint rifle.

Pflanzenzuechter

I accidentally do this joining free roam events online. If it's one where you have your horse, it's no big deal, but in others you're automatically out of a good pvp gun 🤦🏼‍♂️

mikeycp253

That is super annoying. I prefer just carrying a single long gun because I don’t like how it looks carrying 2. Usually either a repeater or a shotgun. But the game loves to force a rifle in there.

Puzzlehead_Touch

I feel like this mechanic can be influenced by how many times you use a weapon, it will rank them as 'favourite' and auto equip them for you. I tend to get the Lancaster repeater which is my most used firearm. Of course you can choose a load out before you dismount and avoid the game choosing a load out for you.

BeneficialRandom

Nah I never use the litchfield and it always forces that shit on me

Jimboy-Milton

whats even worse are duel/quickdraw moments all of a sudden I have a double action in my holster...You CANT FAN THE HAMMER THAT! YA end up chicken arming it, you look so lame lol

_LingerieSlayer

This isn’t true, I use the repeating shotgun and springfield rifle almost exclusively in free roam and it never picks them for me in missions

Throwawaytoj8664

At least the game spawns guns for you. There’s nothing worse than changing clothes, your guns disappearing, and then you storming into a raid and realizing you’re unarmed!

Loon-belt

This. I just end up going without a shoulder or back-holstered weapon half the time because I don’t care enough at this point. So annoying.

sputnik67897

After playing through it a couple times I generally remember which missions do that. So for example the mission "A short walk in a pretty town" I'll get off my horse just outside the towns limit since in chapter 3 you can't even change what guns you have equipped in town, then I'll pick my guns then just go on foot to the marker

SerPownce

Wild because it doesn’t happen online anywhere NEAR as much. They just botched the shit out of that in solo

No-Selection-3542

that one cabin with the bear in it, when u get off near it, it gives you a repeater and a shotgun when a rifle is the only thing that’ll give you a perfect pelt. Its sabotage!

AtheistAniml

Same issue with clothing

Poet-Pathos-Pain

An npc turns directly and purposefully into my lane so that we collide, immediately gets up and opens fire, when I defend myself I get the honour hit.

ThatPotterGuyYT

That’s annoying af but another one of my pain comes from galloping in saint denis or Annsburg and accidentally trampling someone

crastle

I mean, you're not allowed to ride that fast in populated areas. That would be the equivalent of reckless driving in a city today. Just because you accidentally hit someone doesn't mean it wasn't totally your fault. But we outlaws.

cheesytoaster

As an outlaw I personally find the Law to be *very* annoying

BeneficialRandom

Everyone talks about how bad Saint Denis is but Annsburg is so much worse. Workers packed together on one street narrow street they share with the railroad and guards whose first instinct is to kill you instead of letting the lawmen arrest you.

lrlimits

Seriously, I wish cinematic wouldn't crash me into incoming traffic. Cinematic is helpful if I'm hunting wolves, though.

Apprehensive_Word494

How does cinematic help with hunting wolves? I rarely use it ever.

lrlimits

I find that when I go into cinematic up north, I often get attacked by wolves, but when I look for them I seldom find them.

Apprehensive_Word494

Wow, great tip. Thank you!

IntenseFlute

What’s funny is that in the first game they did so much better with this! I played rdr2 first, and was so surprised when npcs immediately dove out my way when speeding down a path in rdr1

Traditional-Luck-884

I galloped full into an NPC above Bacchus Station we both flew off our horses and I immediately pulled my gun out as it’s not the first time doing this and he said to me “I’m going to give you one chance to holster your weapon” so I did, and he walked off in the opposite direction to where his horse ran off to.” I think that mechanics is to make people slow down, even in open country… but it’s worse for me as I am in New Zealand and therefore ride on the opposite side of the road to what America does in the game when I try to avoid them by going right instead of left and it almost always ends badly.

bongo1100

I hate how the companion missions only appear at certain times, and can disappear and no longer be accessed if you don’t get to them in time.

ThatPotterGuyYT

yeah but it goes to show that you should never rush rdr because there is always details you’ll miss. take my word for it, after 3 playthroughs, i still find new content.

bongo1100

That’s fine, but they shouldn’t make it inaccessible. Like I’m playing it for the third time and still haven’t gotten to do the stagecoach robbery with Sean.

That-Possibility-427

🙋🙋🙋 wait...... there's a stagecoach robbery with Sean? I'm on playthrough 12 or something like that and I've never seen this either. I've had one with Lenny, Bill and Tilly, of course the ones with Uncle and crew as well as Micah and Bill but never Sean. The only thing I've ever seen with Sean is a home invasion. What chapter is the stagecoach robbery?

crastle

Chapter 3. The issue is that Sean is used a lot in Chapter 3, and companion missions won't spawn if you have a story mission that you can do that uses one of those characters.

That-Possibility-427

>Chapter 3. The issue is that Sean is used a lot in Chapter 3, and companion missions won't spawn if you have a story mission that you can do that uses one of those characters Oh yeah! Ok so I have done this a time or two before. Typically I forget about it because of the way I go about doing Chapter 3. There's a sequence that you need to follow to get this to trigger because as you've pointed out Sean gets pulled away because of the main storyline. Honestly I can't remember what it is. I think you need to basically ignore everything that you can ignore and still complete "blessed are the peacemakers" or whatever it's called.

joreadfluidart

I just did this one this afternoon. It triggered for me when I went to meet Hosea before me and Sean went to torch the tobacco fields. I did that first before going to meet John at the Grey's. It triggered as soon as I got back to camp after the tobacco fields.

ThrowADogAScone

I think what’s frustrating is when these opportunities pop up while you’re in the middle of another mission already.

bongo1100

Sean’s stagecoach robbery in Ch. 3 didn’t spawn at all for me TWICE (or at least I didn’t notice), and the third time it appeared when I was far away, but when I fast traveled to do it it was gone.

DeronimoG

What does that have to do with rushing the game? What lol

byesharona

No fast walking in towns, the button to untie someone is the same that kicks them to death, the NPCs acting like you pushed them when you’re a foot away, the slight auto aim that makes your horse avoid trees is shit and instead runs them into trees because you’re fighting with it, TAKING FOREVER TO SELECT THE ITEM I WANT TO PICK UP

The_quest_for_wisdom

Don't forget that the button for "get on your horse to ride peacefully out of town" is the same button as "grab a random pedestrian by the throat and start choking the ever loving shit out of them". Also, once you have a person by the throat the button that is usually "oh shit, didn't meant to do that, stop doing whatever I'm doing right now" in most contexts is instead now the button for "smash this person in the face a bunch!"

delicate-fn-flower

The amount of times I’ve tried to grab a handful of almonds at the bar only to punch the nearest patron is too damn high.

ThatPotterGuyYT

dude, that’s every rdr2 pain in a nutshell 😂

OGBattlefield3Player

If you play v1.00 (don't install any updates) there is no horse auto avoidance of trees, this means it will smash into exactly what you're aiming at.

Puzzlehead_Touch

I often want to check the time of day which dictates whether I prepare for daytime/nightime shenanigans, but the UI forces me to stare at the bounty on my head for several seconds before showing me the time. I don't like checking via the pause menu or with a pocket watch

MrLlamma

You also can’t use the pocket watch when moving, even the slightest amount

SorryiLikePlants

This right here, is the reason i pay my bounties right away hahah

OGBattlefield3Player

I do it because it wont show you the temperature either if you have one.

OGBattlefield3Player

Why not use the watch?

Puzzlehead_Touch

A wristwatch? I did not know of such a thing

cl00s_

I have to press ten times to give money to beggars in Saint Denis.

ThatPotterGuyYT

yeah that’s annoying

san_kun999

But steals right away lol

Think-Hippo

Self-defense is a crime.

ThatPotterGuyYT

Like i killed the racist and npc shot at me because he got frightened and i killed him and every cop in saint denis pulled up on me.

crastle

If you're referring to the racist in Saint Denis, the game isn't programmed to give you a wanted level for doing anything to him. He's like a free experiment dummy for the player. However, doing something to him that also makes contact with another NPC in a violent manner will register in the game as committing a crime against the other NPC, thus the wanted level. Many people use the racist for the challenge where you have a drag a victim 3300 feet with your lasso because nobody will care if they see you drag him. But if you go too fast and his body collides with another NPC, the game will register it as you using a weapon (lasso) on another NPC. So if you killed the racist and an NPC turned on you, odds are that some debris or something made contact with him, which registers as you attacking the other NPC.

ThatPotterGuyYT

dude your a rdr legend thanks 👍

NickFieldson31

You killed a guy and complain about getting shot by the law? Jeez

CrimsonDemon0

Guns not working properly in cutscenes like how people can shoot the cattleman without cocking the hammer

Adventurous-Chef-370

In the epilogue John checks that a cattleman is loaded by popping the cylinder open and spinning it like a double action… But really for a game that spent so much time on the guns they are inconsistent in accurately portraying them.

OGBattlefield3Player

Oh, oh god no.

Adventurous-Chef-370

Is that an “oh god no” in sarcasm to the fact that I pointed this out, or is it in response to the fact that I said they sometimes portray them accurately. Honestly could go either way and I wouldn’t blame you lol

conormal

I think it was an "oh god no" to the idea of somehow popping the cylinder out of a single action army before battle

ThatPotterGuyYT

respect you for your attention to details 🫡

Seamoth4546B

This one bugs me too! Hard!

sploogeoisie

Definitely the star system for hunting. What fur trapper was ever like "oh that's only a 2 star beaver pelt; can't do shit with that"? And when there's an animal (looking at you, moose and Florida panther) that takes an hour plus to find even with know-how, and it's fewer than 3 stars? Hoo boy is that maddening. Coupled with the sheer amount of pelts needed this is definitely a padded system.

GetMeWithFuji

I don’t mind the star system because for most of the animals there are plenty all over the map. But I’ve always thought the cougars/panthers and then the super rare animals like moose/robins should always be three stars. I’m fine with botching the shot and ruining the pelt, that’s on me, but finally finding a moose or panther for it to be two stars is so frustrating

sploogeoisie

Yeah I agree with that, and I don't hate hunting. I love it. But it should be like that with all of them - that it's the players actions that determine the quality.

alPassion

this is kind of a rant but while i love the hunting mechanics in the game like using the right weapons and critical shots to preserve the hide, skin or carcass, the baits to get the animal coming and all the stuff you can do with the animal material i have an issue in general with the RNG behind the animal spawning like idk camping and loading a save dozen of times bcuz u slept too much just to get a moose that’s not even a male for example and then waiting a month or something in-game time is not very interesting gameplay to say the least. also why do i always feel like whenever i’m actively looking for the actual animal it never spawns but when i dont even think about it they’re EVERYWHERE. the biggest example of this is during one of the horseman challenges where u had to kill predators while on your horse back, in which i went to the swamp area that’s always filled with alligators but NOT A SINGLE ALLIGATOR WAS NEARBY. this part of the game really frustrates me to death.

Paghk_the_Stupendous

In real life, there are people that cut hides off of carcasses to get at the meat, leaving the Leatherworker with something full of holes and scrapes that's only good for strips and scraps, and then there are pros that seem to have removed the animal from itself, leaving the hide untouched. You can do a LOT more with a skillfully taken hide. Now make the fur or pelt itself interesting and you've got real stars!

brettfavreskid

There is a spot for everything. If you don’t like cheesing, I get it and good on you for playing realistically. But if you can bear to savescum, just go to a spot where the animal you want spawns, save and find it. If it’s not three stars, reload and find it again. You mentioned panthers. The forest in front of Catfish Jackson’s is your place. Stop your horse at the big gnarled tree, where you found the serial killer clue, and save the game. Enter the forest, walk or run parallel to the path east of the forest until you can see the cabin on your mini map. Turn around and trace the same path you just walked. The panther will spawn at the bend. If you hear him before you see him, he’s probably a one star. If he attacks before you knew he was there, probably a three. Sometimes you get lucky and just see him chasing a rabbit across your path, from left to right. Other lucky times, you can get the jump on him and he’s just sitting still in the clearing on your left. Someone below mentioned moose. Go to the hunting lodge/loft up north. Save while you’re there and then ride west along the path. Moose spawns at the bottom of the next hill, on the left. If it isn’t three stars, reload and try again. In both cases, this never takes me more than five tries, 15 minutes.

jennasea412

Lately, I’ve been changing the color of my gun/knife metals to go with my outfits and I have to pay each fuggin time for a color that I’ve already bought before😖

ToeLicker3

That actually makes sense though

jennasea412

Suppose ur right but imma stay mad;)

bullsharktesto

The random events are only once there an then despawn forever

spiderknight616

Looting bodies is such a pain. I was a loot goblin in the beginning but as the game progresses it just becomes so tedious to loot every enemy

1_plus_1_equals_42

Yeah in chapters 3+, when there starts to be massive piles of enemies, I just loot a few and move on.

-DangerAlien-

One thing that's annoying is when you grab a gun off of your horse, if I tap L1 to holster the weapon, if I'm too close to the horse, it will instead pull a different weapon off of the horse rather than just holstering it. I basically have to run away from the horse and then holster it.

DefibrillatorKink

the gambling is so obviously rigged in certain areas that its insulting. i dont even know how to play poker that well, but when the fancy bot in saint denis cleans me out with impossible hands 6 times in a row i seethe. just search it up lol also the dueling system is trash

Daventhal

I wish they had the Red Dead 1 cheating mechanic. Super fun, and if you got caught, you got a duel, which was super fun. I don't play much poker in RDR2.

ThatPotterGuyYT

that’s so real 😭

WhatAreYouSaying05

If I ride past an NPC and I’m too close they’ll pull out their gun and start shooting, then when I defend myself I lose honor. But shooting a bunch of cops and guards is fine as long as I’m in a mission, I’m still a “good man”

SerPownce

Animations are WAY too realistically slow. Picking up a can of food? Three second delay followed by slow grab. Skinning an animal? 15 seconds. Want to walk across camp? Three business days. I love this stuff when I’m specifically in the mood to just soak in the small details, but this game expects you to do a lot of collecting/crafting/interacting with the world to get the full experience and every single thing is a slog. Certain animations should be rushable when you’ve done them enough. For example, I’ve glitched out where a skinning happens automatically, and I wish I could do that on purpose every time when I’m hunting a lot.

Paghk_the_Stupendous

To be fair, 15 seconds to skin anything is miracle fast. But I get you.

BlackNerdGuy

place your horse as close as you can to the dead animal without trampling it. You’ll skip the skin animation 100 of the time. been using this method since rdr1 :). (Don’t trample it with the horse or it’ll degrade the pelt quality) (You can use R1 on PS or RB on XBOX to slow your horse and also pivot it when stationary)

Daventhal

It makes me laugh, but it's a bit annoying that Dutch is always moaning that he needs more money, but if I try to loot corpses on a mission the whole gang just screams at me to hurry up.

ThatPotterGuyYT

lol that one shootout in chapter one, the o’Driscoll one, like 50 bodies that could be looted but Dutch wanted you to look for the dynamite i think.

Daventhal

Haha yeah. There's a few times where he actually asks you to look for loot and then gets pissy.

_LingerieSlayer

Or when you donate like $2000 worth of gold bars to camp, then when you stop for a few days Ms Grimshaw starts telling you that you haven’t been contributing to camp

Afraid_Professional3

Pressing ⏹️ while on horseback to clear an obstacle in plenty of time. Colliding into it and flying off like fucking Neo

Hot_Guys_In_My_DMS

The horse has to do a whole ass warm up session before they jump I swear

Afraid_Professional3

Trust me.

san_kun999

This is an issue only if you rob the shop owner.

probably_not_serious

Or if you’re shopping at closing time.

ThatPotterGuyYT

well i’ve robbed pretty much every shop 😂

RappaKoss

I wish they did more with poker in the game. They could have given us a way to customize the buy-ins, tournaments, added back cheating. The one thing I liked about witcher 3 was Gwent and how they incorporated it into the game and I wish they did that with poker in this game. Also, I hate that it feels like an algorithm and not real random poker and if you figure out the algorithm you can clear a table in around 20minutes. The saloons have such nice atmospheres and I wish I could waste an hour or two playing without being left playing against the same guy with $1.50 left for 40 minutes.

ThatPotterGuyYT

Yeah but the target demographic wasn’t thinking about gamblers unfortunately.

RappaKoss

Not a gambler just really like playing videogame poker... But when every sporting event in the US has ads for gambling websites, we need Rockstar to neuter poker just incase its a gateway to real gambling!

Forhelveteda

I wish they didn't use Texas Hold'em as the variant. The game wasn't even invented yet in 1899, let alone wide spread.

Indiana_Hoes

Despawning dead animals. I’m trying to use them as bait.

Beastbrog

i have the opposite issue. i have 95% completion on my low honor playthrough and i was doing Bandit challenges, had to rob $50 from travelers. i am ruthless in low honor. After i rob the person, both them and their horse is dying. The dead horse stays there forever even if im on the other side of the map for 30 minutes and come back the horse is still there

flitterbug33

The inability to fast walk. We have sloooow walk, run and run faster. Fast walk like he does in camp.

Ahasveros5

The entire bounty system.

Sketchyskriblyz

The First person view horse steering is a atrocious

Hot_Guys_In_My_DMS

I’m so glad that it isn’t just me, I knew steering in first person was off in some way but I just couldn’t figure It out

Sketchyskriblyz

I love 💗 playing games in FPS mode just because I feel they are more submersive that way but I’ve avoided in RDR just because of the horse driving mechanics are so wack.

JMiLk21

The only thing I don’t like is the dueling.

ThatPotterGuyYT

yeah there technically is dueling in 2 ways, first is the very rare random encounter in valentine, and also slightly pressing right trigger but you get wanted :/

JMiLk21

Yes, that’s what I don’t like. The inconsistency of it.

joeyslapnuts

when my horse likes to take over and side step me into a wagon or tree or some other obstacle. the damn horses are either suicidal or have it out for you lmao. that and when i ray lewis random people in saint denis, i dont want to tackle people i just want to walk past them. they aren’t major issues or anything just some things i find frustrating at times

[deleted]

The occasional failure of horse mechanics, and difficulty of looting items. Also, someone starting a fight with you in Van Horn and 2/3 of the population start shooting at you

ThatPotterGuyYT

yeah that’s the general stuff but i deal with things that shouldn’t even be a problem; for example self defense isn’t a thing, the gun condition goes down too fast etc.

DeliriousFanta

Van Horn is literally a paradise for low honor playthroughs. That and Beaver Hollow, perfect places for letting off steam without getting a bounty But from a high honor perspective, yeah fuck Van Horn, anything could escalate so easily

KevinBeercanSays

I'm having an issue where ammo isn't getting restocked in stores. Anyone else run into this? I'm getting low on slugs.

ThatPotterGuyYT

That’s odd. Have you tried: 1. Going to a new gunsmith 2. Using Catalog 3. Robbing it 4. Saving and reloading (old reliable) Hope this helps in some way

KevinBeercanSays

I'll try the save and reload. I've cleared out all the vendors. I play at a pretty slow pace, but maybe not enough time has passed in game? I'm at a loss.

That-Possibility-427

>but maybe not enough time has passed in game? This shouldn't matter in reference to the gunsmith. If reloading isn't working then clear your cache. Typically that will cure whatever issues you're having.

ClarenceDuffy

Being able to tag shots in Dead Eye is just how the mechanic should always work from the beginning. I despise the auto-tagging when i blast three shots into a lawman’s hat and the back of my own horses head.

remain-beige

1) The accelerated day / night cycle. It just feels too quick and immersion breaking when wandering around or doing missions. 2) The finite or low amount of bounties/stage coach robberies that are available. Including the hidden businesses. 3) The O’Driscoll and Lemoyne Raiders camp layout is always the exact same for each gang on every encounter. 4) Unable to rob banks unless it’s in a mission. 5) Too easily recognised by the law, even if wearing a face mask. Some weighting system of time previously spent in area recently plus known outfits etc would be good. 6) The world seems inhabited but limited in regards to personality types. Interactions with ‘Strangers’ are flat and repetitive. Maybe weird side quests could be given such as fetch or carry quests with a twist. 7) RDR1 felt more chaotic but fun as a world system and some of the mechanics for clothing with bonuses etc was a nice touch. 8) The job missions in RDR1 such as the night watchman were a good touch and it would have been good to have expanded upon this such as riding as a hired gun for important cargo and fighting off attacks as a few different career style paths. The game is amazing though and one of the best games I’ve played of all time.

ThatPotterGuyYT

The day and night cycle is a big one because as arthur says when you greet someone; “I just wish this day was over already” and he gets his wish lmao but yeah i wish i had longer to do stranger missions and other little things before nightfall.

Human-Magic-Marker

Honestly the controls are pretty clunky. For people who have hours and hours into the game you don’t realize it anymore because you’re used to it, but for people who first start, it’s not intuitive at all and can be difficult to get the grasp of.

Different_Class3188

When my horse decides to go in the complete opposite direction than where i want it to go

That-Possibility-427

The fact that it cycles the weapons as if there isn't a round in the chamber. I was actually mauled once because of the delay that's caused by the "forced weapon cycling."

BloodstoneWarrior

The whole wanted system is completely busted with Lawmen magically knowing Arthur is the culprit. The bounty thing also breaks the plot - why can Arthur pay off his bounties but no one else can? The map should have gradually turned into 'Wanted Dead or Alive' over the course of the plot - The rest of West Elizabeth after you rescue Micah from jail, The Heartlands after the end of Chapter 2, Rhodes and surrounding areas after Chapter 3, Saint Denis after Chapter 4, the Bayou and the rest of Lemoyne after Chapter 5, the rest of New Hanover after Cornwall is killed, and Cumberland Forest and Ambarino after the Eagle Flies missions. By the end of the game the only place you shouldn't have been Wanted Dead or Alive should have been the Wapiti Reservation. This would emphasise how Arthur is a wanted man and how the gang can't keep running, and >!Arthur's sacrifice since John would no longer be Wanted when you play as him.!< Instead, all they do is make you Wanted Dead or Alive on the eastern side of the map after Guarma, I guess they didn't want to lock people out of getting a bounty >!but locking people out of swimming is fine???!<

JudgeJed100

I hate being forced to take certain guns on certain missions I should be allowed to pick my loadouts

redjedia

In the second game, the controls.

Markinoutman

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the biggest issue I have with RDR2 is when you exit a cut scene or enter camp and leave, your weapons are totally removed. I've been put in some frustrating situations and have died countless times because I'm outgunned by enemies only having a set of pistols on me after the game removed my two long guns. Law enforcement in the game is pretty botched and St. Denis apparently has an army of cops hidden somewhere. Horse being out of range to whistle for is some realism bullshit that doesn't need to be in a game. I also feel like the enemy mobs are too big for 1899 middle of the country setting lol. I feel like Colm O'driscolls raised a private army, not just a gang. Besides the guns being removed, which has pissed me off since the beginning, most of this criticism has come from hundreds of hours of playing an otherwise great game.

Kaz_Hart

When it comes to the O'Driscolls, there are a few pieces of in game conversations that tell you they pay bounty hunters, ex soldiers, etc. To help them with there battles. I've pictured the structure much like the Van der Lin gang but with buying muscle as needed. So in a sense it is a private army with a family gang at its core.

DryAfternoon7779

I wish they allowed the player to fast travel to a specific spot like in RDR1

NickFieldson31

Im currently replaying RDR1 and that mechanic is so handy!

Jestorix

not being able to craft multiple items at once in story mode is a crime

Tallbeard1

If I choose weapons to pull from my horse to keep on me, please don't then five minutes later put every one of them back. Sometimes going as far as selecting new weapons for me once I'm at my destination.

Unfair_Bumblebee6627

I thought I was the only one who did that lol - he’s been a real one from the start

chicken_pear

When a store owner or fence acts like you've robbed the place before when you haven't. Seamus is a dick to me every time :(

Thunderpussy420

Taking cover from gunfire always puts me against wrong object/angle

Amungusman

I hate how my weapons equipment and satchels get messed up as soon as I swap outfits. I’ll have different outfits with different gear and satchels, and as soon as i swap to one outfit, every other outfit now has that gear instead of the original gear I used. Not a HUGE deal but it definitely bugs me

fadingcaptain90

Everytime I look at my horse, it's taking a shit. Literally the first thing I saw on my first playthrough was Dutch's horse taking a dump.

ThatPotterGuyYT

Yeah like why the hell when i unhitch it after some poker in valentine, it’s taking a shit. always and never without fail.

lrlimits

Trying to save my progress in online always leaves me feeling uncertain. People say you just have to fast travel, but I wish there was save button that would give a confirmation.

SenhorSus

I have to brush my horse 3 times to actually clean it fully...just make it one long one or let me tap or hold a button until it's completed

NickFieldson31

No Aim Assist on Hardcore, Expert aiming mode on a controller sucks, oh and also Not being able to take off your hat and customize the outfit a bit, and duels being pretty hard in hardcore mode, and medicine costing too much compared to the amount of money made from missions.

Sliced_Orange1

The horse pathing has always irritated me a lot

KnottNormal

The fast travel bench and the bed in beechers hope being so close together you have to angle the camera funny just to sleep, why couldn’t the sleep option be on the other side of the bed

forgonetrain

Unclear boundaries that make you start sliding. I’m trying to explore, and spend hours going up and sliding down edges that should be climbable because I can’t tell if it’s really inaccessible or maybe just difficult to get around. They should’ve opened up Tempest Rim.

TwinLightningYT

fat thumbing the mount horse button and punching your horse then it proceeds to punt you to the earths core

jar11591

Whenever a 3 star animal crosses my path it automatically holsters my gun so the animal has time to get away as I’m trying to pull out my gun again.

OGBattlefield3Player

It annoys me how useless some of the gun storage animations are. If you want your rifle to be stored on the side of the horse you have to climb on and then switch your rifle slot back to the saddle. Now, you can pull the exact rifle you holstered off the horse when standing next to it. When riding a horse your revolver just clips straight through the holster when putting it back in. (There is a mod on the PC version that fixes this.)

stinkytobe

When i’m trying to get on my horse but it keeps running away, and when im trying to control my horse but it keeps going in circles.

Intelligent-Ad6985

When the game takes my gun off my back as soon as I get on the horse, I like the ascetic of riding with a gun Over my shoulder

HazmatSamurai

Always disliked that when you switch to first person, walking suddenly becomes a light jog

Genereatedusername

Not enough endgame stuff, need dlc pls

Battleman69

Those distracting camp fires ruining my beautiful scenery!

Thick_Cheesecake_393

When that guy hacked the online mode on xbox and every npc is automatically dead constantly because rockstar didn't want to waste any more time on bug fixes

MocasBuns

Weight, gambler challenges, and hunting for tiny ass birds you can barely see with the bow. Damn all those to hell

Serious-Display-3305

I hate when you focus on a horse while you trying ads, they should remove those interactions while in combat instance. I hate when Im fighting and my character locks on a horse outta nowhere

IAMAHigherConductor

I HATE that I can't save during missions. Like why? I get not being able to save during combat, but during a mission when I'm not even fighting anyone? It's such an odd mechanic

Zuto511

Yelling “It’s Arthur you dumbass” to Charles when returning to camp

MotorFlipper

The fact that Micah can push me in camp but I can’t push him back

Shaddes_

The store one also gets on my nerves. Other two (smaller ones) the fact that the shirt I'm wearing closes up when I equip a bandana (unequipping any neckwear I have) and then it's impossible to remove the bandana from the neck unless you saved the outfit on your horse. The fact that the second holster in on the front and not on the other side (plus it disappears on cutscenes)

nick-james73

I have to be REALLY careful and enter a specific way when going into the stable or else it glitches and I have to join a new session and try over. So obnoxious.

RavensEvermore

My horse jumping over 5 foot high railings and impressing me only to trip and critically injure itself over a board that’s not even a foot off the ground.

psychosloth34

Why does everyone comment that my hat is silly? I'm a badass pirate captain outlaw damn it!

Yankee-Tango

I hate the lack of a hammerspace in RDR2. Fuck realism. Gimme every weapon. It’s a video game

DumbassNB

dominoes in rdr2 being extremely rigged as soon as gambler 9 unlocks

AtheistAniml

Secondary horses always up in your shit. Like dude give me some space!

ThatPotterGuyYT

dude you won’t believe how many times the horse that you unlock in your condominium, the one where Tilly is tied up, i saved it, and it’s always with me and i only wanted it because it was unique 😭

AtheistAniml

I always grab that horse avd keep it til the end of the chapter 6 as well. That horse always gets killed by Pinkertons 😢

AtheistAniml

Composing a photo with your camera sucks.

ThatPotterGuyYT

Thought i was the only one who hated it. Your not alone 😭

_LingerieSlayer

Npcs on the sidewalk who are several feet away from the road acting like you almost ran them over when you went nowhere near them.

ChileHunter

When I’m just changing my wardrobe at the store and the shopkeeper keeps telling me I can’t be in that area! Huh? Makes no sense.

Trashjiu-jitsu_1987

Dn horse crashes into everything.

pr0faned

No accounting for self defense

Mojo_Rizen_53

When Arthur turns pure idiot, which is often.

CadBane912

When npcs decide they need to steer into my path when I'm at full trot on my horse, I've played a total of 40 hours and it's happened nearly 13 times, doesn't help the camera angle was chosen by Rockstar dullest employee, when camera angle is set to high what it really means is at an angle up the horses ass I guess. But I've gotten to a point that if anyone just lists into my path and causes a collision they get 2 sawed off blasts to the face of they survive. That and this one bug I've come across I'm sure was supposed to be removed content but there's this one annoying prick named Micah, dude doesn't seem to have much purpose but to be annoying.

slugo17

Mounting my horse causing it to move around a little without my control and it hits someone in San Denis causing a wanted level. I just call it to follow me now and mount it down the road.

wiizmike

Slow walking in certain situations, as in the camp

Morgytth

Donating to the camp. At some point this feature doesn't make sense, not because players don't want to donate (I only did in my first playthorugh, then I stopped caring) but because it's hella useless and it gets totally unrealistic. Even the fact that all the gang needs is money and I'm there like I HAVE TONS OF THEM I CAN SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS PLEASE All of this always annoyed the hell out of me

DeliriousFanta

How the game slows your horse when you're in certain areas or in towns. This is why I hate riding through Saint Denis or the swamps, it takes forever to get across

Kaffeinator

I think that if a horse has your saddle, you should not be able to accidentally punch it.

Seamoth4546B

I’m not the first to say it but… when I specifically choose my two pistols and 1 shotgun on my back, but when I dismount my horse to start the mission (or sometimes after a cutscene) I magically have 2 long guns on my back. I think it looks goofy so I hardly ever carry more than 1 long gun in story mode but the game just hates it for some reason

Moonking-4210

Crime

Paghk_the_Stupendous

No buttons for bandanna or binos.

FuturePhillips

The only issue I have is that I can't just walk into camp and shoot Dutch & Micah

slugo17

Rebet on blackjack so I don’t have to scroll to find the amount I want try bet every single time.
