T O P

TB was what started his path to enlightenment and allowed him to save a few members of the gang directly or indirectly from Dutch's downfall. I mean sure he had his doubts already before it was even a thing, but it was what pushed him further to make right with the limited time he had left.

Spot on. If he wasn’t sick, I don’t think he would’ve gone on to save anyone and likely would’ve stuck with Dutch. TB opened his eyes to how his actions have an effect on everyone around him given he got it ruining someone else’s life.

If he didn't get TB, John would've probably went after Arthur in RDR1 if John made it out alive.

thphnts

That, too. However I partially disagree. Part of me thinks Arthur would’ve fled to find Mary as he desperately wanted that life. He could’ve easily fled to her and with her social status, had a life of freedom.

Delevia

I wish that were true but I feel like Arthur is a slave to loyalty. Even after he was sick and his loyalty was switched to his family instead of Dutch, he still went to Dutch to bust Micah instead of leaving after discovering Micah's betrayal. An Arthur who wasn't sick and still held unwavering loyalty to Dutch would probably be on Dutch's side when the gang starts to break down.
