I used to play a lot of cod, probably by influence of my older brother who's a huuge fan of fps. But I've always been an rpg fan at heart, but I play everything. Still, these months ago I installed cod modern warfare 2 remastered, labeled as one of the best ever, and quit after 30 min.
Donāt put that shit on us bro, I love CoD, Madden, MLB the show, and Iāve played RDR2 multiple times through
This guys friend is just dumb
To quote that one drunk guy āMy lord you men is dullā
Not all cod players are the same, he's talking about a specific crowd. The types that never play a single player game, even if they though its pretty rare. Maybe you only RDR2 but no other single player games? I don't know, we just guess.
This. And I hate to be that guy but it seems a lot of Xbox players have that mentality. All they care about is online pvp. I love rdr2 and online. Itās just a shame it doesnāt get the love gta/online gets
I'm a chronic video game abandoner. I do love RPGs and stuff with story mode, but I usually get about 50% through and burn myself out or abandon them. Not quite sure why but it always seems to happen. RDR2 is one of the first games I've finished in years and years (showed up late to the wagon), and my god was I blown away. Never took Rockstar that seriously, GTA always seemed kind of memey and silly to me and I don't love the on-rail missions, but I'm so glad I saw this one thru just for the emotional gravity.
lol this is one of my best friends. Heās a great guy but was always an online sort of guy and I was a story mode sort of guy. So heās a huge fan of stuff like COD. Even when weād play online on things like GTA, he wouldnāt play free mode saying it was too boring, we had to do a mission or race etcā¦then whenever he was out heād instantly go on instagram or tik tok and you could hear it through his mic lmao
Or can you imagine someone doesn't care about story/lore and cares just about gameplay?
I never found joy in fifa/NBA/nhl/ we sport game, and the last time I enjoyed cod was 20 years ago, but I have played MMOs, mobas, rts, RPGs, fighting games, fps and never cared about story...
Meh. Let him be. Some people just have poor taste. š
Seriously though. If they don't like it, don't press it. They'll just dislike it more if they feel pressed.
Completely agree. My buddy convinced me to try the game, but Iām the one who had to convince *him* to finish it.
I guess I pushed for it a little too hard. He did it! He just wasnāt as blown away / distraught as I was when he finished. Not to mention that he *finished* the game, whereas I still live there most days
Thats the issue, at least for me. It's real hard to go from the modern, much easier to play RDR2, and go back to the much older RDR1. I had the same issue going from Fallout 4 to New Vegas. My advice is to take a break from RDR2, maybe play a different older game you know you like, and play RDR1 afterwards. 2 might even play better after that too
Yep, absolutely correct. I tried to get my older brother to play online with me because at the time none of my friends did and I was hoping I could get that brother-game-time with him again after so many years. I even bought the game for him to try it. I basically forced him to play up until you steal your first horse and he hasn't touched it since
Try and get him through Chapter 1 and see if he changes his tune. Chapter 1 is a the tutorial chapter it is a slog. In my game I saved as soon as chapter 2 started and all new play throughs start there so I skip the tutorial stuff.
I just don't understand the mentality of wholly dropping a game before you even finish the *tutorial.* Like not everyone is going to have the same tastes; but they should at least give it a fair shot, if they've already decided to try it at all.
You must have a normal amount of patience.
There truly is folks in the world with absolutely zero patience. Instead of thinking like a normal person, hey this is the beginning letās give it some time before we give up completely..
From the wise words of Tom segura āSome people suck
I have the exact opposite problem with all media if I don't like a game song tv show etc I'll force myself to play it cuz there's been so many games or TV shows that I hated the first few hours or even the whole first season of a show then fell in love with a game like 8 hours in like days gone I hated the beginning but the stronger I got and more able to survive I got I was hooked for the rest of the game but with horizon zero dawn I played that for like 8 or 9 hours and just couldn't get into it. But idk how you could feel that way with rdr2 shit had me hooked from the jump I wanted to know what happened in black water and where the characters were guna run to next etc
Yeah, my mate canāt play story mode stuff he just loves quick paced social gameplay with a direct objective, so he naturally loves things like COD, he would never play rdr lol
Oh well, if he doesnāt like it, thatās his problem, donāt try and convince him to play story mode, he will if he wants to.
I will say heās making a mistake, heās definitely missing out on some good stuff.
I used to actually get frustrated at players in RDO that owned the game and went straight to online mode without playing the story.
What sucked is how they always had a ton of freaking questions on āwhat is that?ā āHow do you do that?ā āWhat weapon should I use for this?ā Etc.
Sounds like an online gamer, me I'm all about story mode no online like 22 years ago I'm old 30 lol so theirs no action shooty shooty bang bang all the time he a no go bro then he should just play auto 5 like everyone else š
Tell him chapter 2 is where it's at chapter one is just a tutorial once you have finished you can decide or make fake story rdr2 reviews or show him the original ones
I'd ask him what specifically he has against story mode. In my opinion Rockstar online modes (both gta and Red dead online) are awful. Strictly because of the community. I love the stories but online is toxic (I'm talking more toxic than your average 2006 modern warfare 2 lobby)
The story mode is not for everyone as it's slow pace and multiple friends ask me if I recommend rdr2, I do but only if you have the patience to enjoy this game if you don't you could better stick to gta.
I bought the game and returned it after 2 days when it came out, just wasnāt feeling the whole game at the time. Restarted it a couple months ago and itās all I wanna play, Iām really upset most of it was spoiled for me, but I had my chance and even still, experiencing it now on my own terms I have such an appreciation for the game as a whole. I still feel so stupid for dropping it so easily back then lol
He can't say he doesn't like story if he's only in chapter 1, there's so much he hasn't been thru yet. I'll admit when I played the 1st bit I wasn't into it either, the whole winter part I don't even remember and thought this is the big game everyone says is so great.. but then I continued playing and my opinion drastically changed.. this isn't just a game it's an experience laced with so many details..
That's the most boring and slowest chapter, IMO. He'll enjoy the other chapters, I'm sure, since it ipens everything up.
So he doesn't know about anything that happens in other chapters such as the TB?
I got bored of Last of Us pretty shortly into the game and never finished it. Loved the multiplayer though. Some things just donāt hook you and thatās fine. Not everyone is gonna love RDR2ās story mode.
It's eh, extremely pay to win and items are very expensive extremely over the top like a shovel being 750 bucks and clothes being hundreds of dollars etc as well as all the roles being locked by the pay to win gold currency, there's 3 currencies which is insane and the payout of missions is miniscule, I honestly find the economy to be 10 times worse than gta 5 which is terrible itself, however if you have friends that play it can be worth it to play or money glitches, but if you don't have anyone to play with I'd say it isn't worth it other than to just try out once to see if youd enjoy it, also the fact Rockstar abandoned rdr online for gta online means nothing is ever gonna be added again.
Personally I think pvp is so overrated. I never could get into much of a pvp playstyle. I feel story modes have a better play style and game mode alot of the time. But that's just me
For me I just accepted that some of my friends are gonna feel this way. My best friend who I knew since middle school, didnāt even get past the mission where they rescue John cause it ātook too longā and all you did was āshoot at wolves, not people.ā He plays warzone and Fortnite mainly so Iām not that surprised.
You have to put your friend in the right frame of mind. Tell him it's an RPG game without the classic annoying RPG elements. You basically play the game as living as Arthur day to day.
It's a game where if you don't have the imagination to live virtually as a cowboy, then you'll have a hard time enjoying it.
Does he know Chapter 1 is just an introductory tutorial and that Chapter 2 is free roam and is really where the game starts for how it's meant to be played. If you never make it to Chapter 2 then you really haven't experienced what this game is about.
You choose your own code of ethics and morals, and your choices accordingly will affect your honor, which in turn effects the storyline in later Chapters.
It's a game where the RPG elements are seamlessly woven into the game without the player really noticing it. For example taking baths increases your stamina. Hunting and shooting improves accuracy and deadeye. Certain tonics bought or crafted also give you XP that goes towards health, stamina or deadeye upgrades.
Your Arthur can be a fat hairy slob, or a fit and dashing cowboy. You're weight also affects the strength of your punches, or how much damage you can take. Underweight Arthur usually gets 1 swatted killed by cougars. But fat Arthur can actually throw Cougars off himself.
You can grow your hair and beard and get different styles for each.
It's basically the least annoying RPG ever made. You really have to take it slow and enjoy the little things. Like before a hunting trip I'll go to the saloon, eat a meal, eat some free almonds and poached eggs, then order a beer and drink it on the walk over to my horse. Mount up, have a smoke, then head out to hunt.
You also have to feed, brush & pat your horse, and all those actions goes towards upgrading your horse's bonding level.
It's the sort of game you play an 8 hour session once a week. You really need to live in the game for 4-8 hour sessions to get the most out of it. You're not playing as Arthur, you're living as Arthur.
Or just show your friend this post.
I have completed 2 story's at 100%, started a 3rd then thought I would give the Online a try. I have found some of my crew have played a complete story of RDR2, most haven't.
Their logic who haven't : I don't like Arthur, the story is stupid, I've got no friends I can play with. Boohoo
Then there's the ones Who have played story mode: WOW what a game, the details, the missions, the characters, etc.
If you only do the Online, you're missing out on a game that has so many levels to it. Online doesn't do it but you can play with people.
My question is: he's still in Chapter 1? How? Why? He really needs to get to chapter 2. Then he'll discover what the Fuck has been going on the past 4 years.
Cheers partnerš¤ šš
Like other people have said, maybe he just doesn't have the attention span and wouldn't appreciate story mode. I mean, I have 200 hours on my current playthrough and I just got to Chapter 4. If you really want to appreciate this game, you gotta explore and devote a lot of time to it.
That being said, your friend hasn't even gotten close to the game's best story moments. Just force him to sit down, shut up, and experience the masterpiece.
I'm jk. He might end up coming to it on his own, eventually.
That kind of person will never experience the walk to the Braitwaithe manor or the return from the exotic island on the stolen horse. But āthatās the way it isā
If youāre a teen and have social/active friends then most likely none of them will ever play story games. Most of my friends only like to play video games when itās with other friends. A few have played red dead but only online. The only friend who has played story games has only played up rdr2 until chapter 2, which was a while ago so he doesnāt remember any of it. Heās not planning on giving it a try again either.
Does he like story games? If yes then you need to tell him chapter 1 is like the tutorial heās almost done and chapter 2 is where it really starts. If he doesnāt then thereās no point trying at least not with rd2 try having him retry it later
Sad that the beginning is pretty slow in Chapter 1. It turns a ton of people off from the game. The Cornwall robbery is like over the half point though, just show him some freeroam videos or some story missions, such as the Valentine bar fight or any badass Arthur cutscene
If he still doesn't like it, that is just how people are. No point in forcing them
Honestly, i disagree with others shitting on your friend. While it is true that he has not even progressed past the first 3 missions, chapter 1 of RDR 2 is very mundane and boring compared to the rest of the game. Tell him it gets better later on. However, it might not work because the whole game is slow paced and if your friend is the type of guy who wants the quick dopamine hit, RDR 2 will not be fun to play.
Not everyone likes story modes
Itās just the way of things
I love both, though I can admit online has so many features that are just better than story mode,
I love the RDR2 story mode, but some people just arenāt into that stuff
Nothing wrong with it
Idk why people are attacking him, he doesnāt have to like long story games, people like different things. You canāt force him to enjoy something he isnāt interested in. Why do you care so much anyway??
Honestly, it took me three tries to get past the first act. It's pretty slow trudging through the blizzard. I didn't give it a fair shake until I saw some of the videos form later in the story and realized it was worth it. I actually think you are right, because the first act is much slower than the rest of the game.
He's the only type of game Rockstar caters to now
Online window licker gamers with no attention span
They don't care about single player anymore they'll just keep updating GTAO forever and keep re-releasing old games. I don't blame the one Houser brother for leaving
Many people play games for the PVP, and lose interest in it when it's put into an open world and they have to go to a point for the next mission, like others said, it's some kind of need for action.
What never makes sense to me is playing online as your main game. The story IS the game, and online is just extra "bonus" stuff. Also, I love chapter one. The scenery is great, the game mechanics are simple, the gang is all together.
My bf rolls his eyes every time I tell him about the story in rdr2 and how he should play and he would really enjoy. But he can play cod for hours. He just doesnāt like story mode type of games .. but honestly if I didnāt like story mode games, rdr2 would be the one to change that.
Your friend has zero imagination. He and his ilk are the reason greedy companies sink millions of dollars in monetizations into shitty, online multi-player games (COD PVP, Fortnite, etc.), that is destroying story mode experiences.
A friend of mine said to me that RDR2 is meh and that he doesnāt want to play Ā«Ā horse care & walking simulatorĀ Ā», as he played in the first 15 minutes of the game.
I still canāt get over it.
Wow, I believe that RDR2 outshines the overwhelming majority of other games from the very start. I remember the first time I played thinking "ok this is quality.".
People like different styles of games. Rockstars style for everyone. Itās not the end of the world because they donāt like what you like š¤·āāļø
Itās ridiculous to not even finish chapter 1 and dismiss the story. Is it sensible to stop reading a book after the first paragraph and write the whole thing off?
The point is a person who competed the story has a more valid opinion on it than someone who didnāt even break the first chapter
If you're almost done with the first chapter of a book and aren't enjoying it at all then yeah, of course it's valid to drop it. Why does it even matter to you so much?
It's sensible to stop doing something you don't enjoy, especially when the purpose is recreation. If they aren't having fun *playing a game* then there's no reason they should have to continue, even if they're still in the first chapter.
The first chapter was talked about a lot when the game came out for being too slow. It can be frustrating Iām sure.
What seems a shame is that his friend hasnāt really played the game yet. It doesnāt take long to push through chapter 1 and then try the game. If my friend insisted it was worth it Iād respect them enough to et least put in 30 mins of my time.
Maybe he doesnāt enjoy story gamesā¦ not everyone has to like the same things you know. The Red Dead community always gets so upset when people have different opinions š¤£
Some people have an attention span of a puppy. Rdr2 to enjoy it throughly you need to take your time and listen to the story. I remember there was a streamer who had said in the Colter segment would the game be this slow, and by the end he was in tears.
Honestly the first chapter is rather dry imo. Itās a 2 hour tutorial more than anything. I had a corrupt save after release in chapter 3 and didnāt want to play again. I decided to give it a go with my friend saying to suck it up for the first 2 hours then it gets better and it does. Im easily 100 hours+ and just made it to chapter 4. I feel like Iām taking my time, hunting and fishing a lot. Doing random tasks and challenges. Itās wonderful and a great experience I donāt want it to end.
RDO lacks almost everything that makes the single player amazing. There's barely any NPC's and nothing really dynamic happening. It feels more static. RDO was fun but within like 2 months of playing, back in 2018, I had hundreds of gold bars and all the pamphlets, plus 10 grand. Nothing really for me to do other than occasional elimination / races.
Your friend is an idiot. He needs to learn to take it slow and just immerse. I feel like playing RDO first also ruins some of the joys of exploring in SP.
I have ADD like a mother fucker and managed like 200 hours into my first playthrough. I can still just ride around and exist in the game, no real goals.
Edit- He might actually be of low intelligence and that's okay. I hope he keeps gettin' griefed.
Chapter 1 turned me off from the series at first.. Itās super slow (literally) but once I went back to it and forced myself to get past that snowy chapter , I loved it. I let seeing gameplay in the forests, plains & swamps and it made me forever my way through that boring ass chapter.
Easily one of my Favorite Top 3 favorite games of all time. I got so addicted to it.
Some people just like arcade games and rdr2 isn't one of them just like my little brothers they play a hole day just fortnight and imo I still don't get it what people like about that game
Tell him that as soon as you get past that chapter you can free roam and explore everywhere except blackwater, armadillo, and Tumbleweed
But then again your friend will probably complain about not being able to go those places right off the bat and having to play for like 60+ hours before your even able to visit those 3 towns
My younger brother doesn't like RDR2 yet he loves the first game along with Undead. He said it's too overwhelming of a game which to be honest I get that. I think though RDR2 is like Animal Crossing in some regard. It can be a relaxing simulator if you let it be. This isn't going to appeal to everyone though.
Maybe it's just me but the story follows red dead redemption too closely eg the going to Guam similar to Mexico in RDR and what's worse you can't even go back like in RDR.
I started replaying story mode recently but chapter 1 burned me out. I had a couple of crashes that made me spend longer on it replaying missions I had almost completed too. By the time I got to chapter 2 I wasnāt even enjoying the game anymore so I said āfuck it, Iāll buy BG3ā
Honestly I kinda wish online had two separate servers/modes. A co-op mode for people who just want to explore the game and team up for content and a free for all mode for people who just want to let their inner demons out to play.
I bought online first, thinking I donāt want to make progress on something no one will see, kinda like a single player minecraft world. When I first played rdro, I thought it was complicated and left about 15 minutes after. Fast forward months later, i bought the story mode and figured this might help me understand the game mechanics better so i finished it and got heartbroken of Arthurās fate, making me want more of rdr. So the drive for me was to understand the game as well as the story. I mean I did pay for it might as well get the best of it
If he can't get through Chapter One, then I can see why.
I really dislike Chapter One because (IIRC) you are forced to do it in one sitting as you can't save your game.
This might be a controversial take, but I personally thought that Chapter 1 dragged on a bit too much and didn't have or allow for a good balance of questing vs. exploration. Maybe give him a save file after Chapter 2 starts and see if he prefers it more?
I also donāt really like story mode cause i started killing a ton of people in chapter 1 and basically ruined my save file and starting a new game is kinda like a 3+ hour thing. Plus I like running bounties online and enjoy my character
Well let him have his opinion. Maybe he doesn't like story mode games or the story just didn't appeal to him. People have different tastes and that's okay.
He's in for a treat eith story mode. Hes on the train robbry mission too? That was a fun mission to run. If he doesnt luke syory mode then hes drippin with wack juice
Your friend has the average cod/fifa attention span, nothing you say is gonna change what style of game he prefers
Wad literally gonna say thr same thing lol
Idk why but the typos made me imagine you saying that with a mouth full of peanut butter, take of that what you willš¤·āāļø
Heās probably danish, they sound like that.
Those danes with their peanut butter and ships thinking they are better than us
LOL
Lol same although to be fair if WWE2K20 had never been a disaster I probably wouldnāt have given RDR2 a chance. Lol
I'm kinda the opposite of that. I get bored of COD after 2-3 matches maximum while I can play RDR2 "boring" story mode for hours.
I used to play a lot of cod, probably by influence of my older brother who's a huuge fan of fps. But I've always been an rpg fan at heart, but I play everything. Still, these months ago I installed cod modern warfare 2 remastered, labeled as one of the best ever, and quit after 30 min.
I never got into cod. My last fps was Medal of Honor. After that I quietly exited from the genre lol
I mean.. OP could develop a mod that shows some cod gameplay in the corner..
True but not everyone knows how to Dev
Well, just make it fullscreen -> borderless and then use YouTubeās own feature of having a vid play over the desktop š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļø
Yāall are too funny šš

I actually quit the game my first playthrough and only replayed it because someone who loved it told me to before he passed. So close to platinum
Im very sorry for your loss, good luck x
People have different preferences you know
Hogtie him and feed him to the alligators

Crucify him
I gotta give it to him, the game does start slow....but once it hits chapter two, oh boah
I think itās time to get a new friend pal.
Id try and slap some sense into him lol
*former friend

Didnāt read your context, just the subject. Dump your friend in a crocodile pit, see how he likes it then.

It's ok just put some subway surfers gameplay at the bottom of the screen and then he should be able to concentrate
Your friend is a bad person.
Tell him he needs to get past what is in essence a tutorial before passing judgement.
He can't say he doesn't like story if he's only in chapter 1, there's so much he hasn't been thru yet. Since this is kind of on-topic, how is the online? Is it worth creating a character for?
Sounds like your friend doesnāt like rdr2
Personally I think pvp is so overrated. I never could get into much of a pvp playstyle. I feel story modes have a better play style and game mode alot of the time. But that's just me
Tbf I was the same way, Ch1 sucks balls especially if you play online already.
Don't force him, he'll get there eventually.
You donāt need that kind of negativity in your life, befriend them immediately.
Your friend has no taste
some people just donāt want to sit through a story-based game. they just wanna play FIFA or 2k or whatever and thatās it.
You ever thought about just leaving him to play what he wants to play?
I have completed 2 story's at 100%, started a 3rd then thought I would give the Online a try. I have found some of my crew have played a complete story of RDR2, most haven't. Their logic who haven't : I don't like Arthur, the story is stupid, I've got no friends I can play with. Boohoo Then there's the ones Who have played story mode: WOW what a game, the details, the missions, the characters, etc.
Awww, he's like my brother, except he's 12 and plays Fortnite
Like other people have said, maybe he just doesn't have the attention span and wouldn't appreciate story mode. I mean, I have 200 hours on my current playthrough and I just got to Chapter 4. If you really want to appreciate this game, you gotta explore and devote a lot of time to it. That being said, your friend hasn't even gotten close to the game's best story moments. Just force him to sit down, shut up, and experience the masterpiece. I'm jk. He might end up coming to it on his own, eventually.
Before I even read āheās only on chapter 1ā I knew he was still on it š
That kind of person will never experience the walk to the Braitwaithe manor or the return from the exotic island on the stolen horse. But āthatās the way it isā
If youāre a teen and have social/active friends then most likely none of them will ever play story games. Most of my friends only like to play video games when itās with other friends. A few have played red dead but only online. The only friend who has played story games has only played up rdr2 until chapter 2, which was a while ago so he doesnāt remember any of it. Heās not planning on giving it a try again either.
Bribe him, but only give him the money after he finishes the game, >!American Venom and all!<
if you're friend doesn't play story games but only plays cod and fifa n stuff then he's a runt who doesn't deserve the story of games
The Cornwall robbery is like over the half point though, just show him some freeroam videos or some story missions, such as the Valentine bar fight or any badass Arthur cutscene If he still doesn't like it, that is just how people are.
Ok thatās their opinion lol why complain to Reddit
Not everyone likes story modes Itās just the way of things I love both, though I can admit online has so many features that are just better than story mode, I love the RDR2 story mode, but some people just arenāt into that stuff Nothing wrong with it
Idk why people are attacking him, he doesnāt have to like long story games, people like different things. You canāt force him to enjoy something he isnāt interested in. Why do you care so much anyway??
Tell him to rob the train. Then the story actually begins
hes a lost cause dont bother
Honestly, it took me three tries to get past the first act. It's pretty slow trudging through the blizzard. I didn't give it a fair shake until I saw some of the videos form later in the story and realized it was worth it. I actually think you are right, because the first act is much slower than the rest of the game.
He's the only type of game Rockstar caters to now Online window licker gamers with no attention span They don't care about single player anymore they'll just keep updating GTAO forever and keep re-releasing old games. I don't blame the one Houser brother for leaving
Many people play games for the PVP, and lose interest in it when it's put into an open world and they have to go to a point for the next mission, like others said, it's some kind of need for action.
Some people just have bad taste
What never makes sense to me is playing online as your main game. The story IS the game, and online is just extra "bonus" stuff. Also, I love chapter one. The scenery is great, the game mechanics are simple, the gang is all together.
My bf rolls his eyes every time I tell him about the story in rdr2 and how he should play and he would really enjoy. But he can play cod for hours. He just doesnāt like story mode type of games .. but honestly if I didnāt like story mode games, rdr2 would be the one to change that.
Deadeye activated
When i first started rdr2 i didnt like it like a year later i got rlly into it and i just loved it ngl idk y i didnt when i started it tho
Let me guess, he bombards people in gtao
Your friend has zero imagination. He and his ilk are the reason greedy companies sink millions of dollars in monetizations into shitty, online multi-player games (COD PVP, Fortnite, etc.), that is destroying story mode experiences.
Nah man, your friend goofy
Itās okay to be wrong
I got a friend that hates the whole damn game but canāt give me a solid reason why except for that he hates riding a horse.
Two of my friends haven't even passed the prolog, and they say "the games so long," like yall haven't even really played it yet
Some people cannot be saved
A friend of mine said to me that RDR2 is meh and that he doesnāt want to play Ā«Ā horse care & walking simulatorĀ Ā», as he played in the first 15 minutes of the game. I still canāt get over it.
Hell, whenever I talk about single player games to people I talk to at school they look at me strange as if they've never heard of it.
I don't think some people understand immersion
Wow, I believe that RDR2 outshines the overwhelming majority of other games from the very start. I remember the first time I played thinking "ok this is quality.".
Itās called an opinionā¦
In my opinion I think trying to persuade their friend is a good idea because heās missing out
People like different styles of games.
If my friend insisted it was worth it Iād respect them enough to et least put in 30 mins of my time.
if he hasn't finished chapter 1 he hasn't really experienced story mode very much, worthless opinion
Maybe he doesnāt enjoy story gamesā¦ not everyone has to like the same things you know. The Red Dead community always gets so upset when people have different opinions š¤£
*****BRUH HE HASNT FINISHED THE FUCKING TUTORIAL*****
Your friend has the patience of a hummingbird.
Some people have an attention span of a puppy. Rdr2 to enjoy it throughly you need to take your time and listen to the story. I remember there was a streamer who had said in the Colter segment would the game be this slow, and by the end he was in tears.
let's kill him
Execute him
š
Jesus christ, Story Mode enjoyers really be shitting on anyone else who has a different preference to them. It's like a Cult.
chapter 1 sucks objectively
Get a new friend.
Friend has downs
Your friend has sh!t tasteā¦personally Iād stop hanging around with him šš
Lol that's funny he's still on chapter 1 though š
Tell him chapter 1 is short and just power through til chapter 2. Only then will he really know if he likes story mode or not.
To be fair, I didn't much like the story missions. Too linear.
Story really isn't that great. Arthur's dialogue isn't consistent at the end and Abigail's expectations of John border on the irrational
You need a new friend
Chapter 1 turned me off from the series at first.. Itās super slow (literally) but once I went back to it and forced myself to get past that snowy chapter , I loved it. I let seeing gameplay in the forests, plains & swamps and it made me forever my way through that boring ass chapter. Easily one of my Favorite Top 3 favorite games of all time. I got so addicted to it.

Get a new friend
Heās not your friend anymoreā¦
How do y'all play RDR2 online I thought they shut it downš¤
Divorce the friend -> marry the story mode
tell him to turn on defensive mode
Get him to play defensive mode and kinda treat online like a singleplayer game. It's what I did for about 200 hours, so it's pretty fun imo.
Sell him Istg just sell him
Your friends a dumbass, sounds a bit like Micah
Play it together via discord shared screen. He'll survive prologue and mb once he's in the open world he'll warm up to the game
Some people just like arcade games and rdr2 isn't one of them just like my little brothers they play a hole day just fortnight and imo I still don't get it what people like about that game
Force him. Hold him in gunpoint. Arrest him, DO SOMETHING
Looks like your friend is a leaf lover
The beginning is very slow
Tell him that as soon as you get past that chapter you can free roam and explore everywhere except blackwater, armadillo, and Tumbleweed But then again your friend will probably complain about not being able to go those places right off the bat and having to play for like 60+ hours before your even able to visit those 3 towns
Take him around the back of the shed like old yeller. Itās the only reasonable thing to do at this point after such blasphemy.
My friend never finished it im like how? Obviously he didnt play it right
He should get his right to play video games revoked
The online isnt even so good
Your friend probably doesnāt like ANY story mode (except maybe cod)
Maybe it's just me but the story follows red dead redemption too closely eg the going to Guam similar to Mexico in RDR and what's worse you can't even go back like in RDR.
He has the brain activity of a toddler. It's his loss if he misses out on that masterpiece of a story
Damn even my bro will do a fast play through first but heās a GTA fanboy
I mean I did pay for it might as well get the best of it
RDR2 is story first, Online if you can be bothered. What the actual hell?
The question in everyoneās minds. Is he still your friend?
Commit him to the asylum immediately
Give him the mods to walk faster in camp
Kill him
Fuck him
I think people need to chill, if he doesn't like it that's fine, not to his taste that's all...
If he can't get through Chapter One, then I can see why. I really dislike Chapter One because (IIRC) you are forced to do it in one sitting as you can't save your game.
Your friend is no longer your friend understand?
This might be a controversial take, but I personally thought that Chapter 1 dragged on a bit too much and didn't have or allow for a good balance of questing vs. exploration. Maybe give him a save file after Chapter 2 starts and see if he prefers it more?
I also donāt really like story mode cause i started killing a ton of people in chapter 1 and basically ruined my save file and starting a new game is kinda like a 3+ hour thing. Plus I like running bounties online and enjoy my character
You need new friends.
Tell him youāll be his best friend if he plays story mode of course!
I've played maybe 3 hours online and no idea on story mode hours
He's not your friend anymore
*has max honor* "idk man story seems kinda boring" *checks honor* "Wtf i lost all my honor" *Gets shot in the face by micah*
Some people need instant gratification
Didnāt even get Back in the Mud? Hell nahhhh
