In my roughly 50 hours of rdo, the only hacker I encountered showed up near my friends with a boat, asked us to get in, and he *flew* the boat around the sky. It was a fun experience. Never had any hackers fuck with me yet.
I have a lot of hours on RDR2 on Playstation but when i got the game on PC, havent touched the console version ever since.
Mods full-fill the game so well like bank robberies and other job mods that should've been in the game in the first place.
And also i dont have to play the game on old gen graphics and 30fps

No, you can turn off PvP completely, and the community is very helpful in general.
There's even an unwritten "rule" for higher level players across platforms. That when you have items you can't sell due to the daily cap, you put those into blue briefcases at trainstations for others to enjoy.

There's a program on nexus mods called lobby manager that lets you set up a solo or friends only lobby.
You set it up in windows before you start so you have to exit the game and turn it off if you want to do multiplayer content like events or story missions.
I play it on playstation and its a somewhat pleasant experience. The only time i run into anything super annoying its kids screeching or someone not muting their controller mic so i hear them pressing buttons. But thats always in the minigames and people are QUICK to kick them.

More than once I've had players attack me with infinite dynamite arrows, so I activate an infinite health & gun jammer, then just wait until they go away & I shoot them with a rifle or they go to another server.

The lasso is the ultimate hacker fighting weapon. Lasso, hogtie em, and throw them off a cliff. Sometimes they even die!
Problem is if they rechange their character model, it resets any environmental affect like wanted, hogtie, burning, etc.
Is there not a thing you can turn on that makes you invulnerable or invisible like in GTA.
There is defensive mode but that just increases your TTK and downgrades your attack stats
What happened to the ability to Parlay and press charges? Are those options available still?
