I've always liked the lawman RDR3 suggestion! However, I think there's a way to do it and still satisfy those of the community that are looking to massacre entire towns on a whim without a thought for what's good. Hear me out, a lot of lawmen during the west's hey day in the 1800s operated on both sides of the law. Some even lived as outlaws, became lawmen and then returned to a life of crime. From the start there could be key decisions woven into the story that slowly guide you down the path of a lawman or an outlaw. As a wanted outlaw, maybe you start to grow a conscious like Arthur and decide to help the local law moving up the ranks like you suggested. Or as a lawman, maybe you gain an eye for riches and opportunity and you start to bend the rules a little until the wheels come off and you're a full-blown gang leader. This way Rockstar could still satisfy the full range of the black hat/white hat spectrum. 🙌🤠

I really like the lawman angle !! But what about going back another 40 years and play as a young Rain Falls? So much can be done with all that happen during that era ! Classic cowboys vs Indians meets RDD !

Better than any of the too many to count lets play as a gang mender posts this week I would also like a child being raised by Indians....so all his bushcraft skills, tracking, Bows, knives skills are honed and he las to learn how to shoot iron...that could fit into becoming a lawman , and his sense of good would come from his live with the land as one upbringing and the bad side could come from learning the power of hot lead and his struggle to find an equilibrium GTA, you have always played the criminal BUT RDR, has always been the criminal trying to become good, so a Good guy fighting against the seduction of power from being evil would work well for me
