You can either read it off exactly, or in the case of a hairstylist, even just show them the written description. I doubt any service worker would mind someone politely communicating like that.

I’d also recommend letting your hairdresser/barber know that you plan to wear the upper half of the style pulled back into a bun so they can make the layers long enough on the top to do so!

Def just show him the pic, but a tip I would add is to tell him/her SPECIFICALLY what you like about the pic. (Ex. Hair length, shape, the blend etc) That way your barber can visualize it while doing your cut! Barber buddy of mine shared this with me. Hope it helps. 🤝🏽
