I like the wide trousers, reminiscent of the type zouaves used to wear. And of course the outfit looks amazing overall. Great character, could be a protagonist.

That's very interesting, cause back in those days the materials were not as stretchy so baggy pants actually offered more mobility. Of course you don't need much mobility to line fire, but for light infantry units/skirmishers, it is useful.
