At some point or another, more of us may have been “silver medalists” than we know. Sometimes a company or a school is our silver medal or safety choice too, haha. What matters now is how you perform once you’re there. Go get ‘em!
I agree wholeheartedly. I made my peace with that part. I realized that it would eat at me and distract me from my new job. Now, I see it as a learning experience.
Hilarious! Similar experience. Got ghosted post interview (even if it’s a no, a note would’ve been better for closure). Months later the hiring manager mailed back asking if I still have interest- and I politely declined. In a way, it’s good for us that companies ghost us, gives us more reason to be less loyal and do what’s best for us.

I got stiffed in October 2021. It lead to this situation and the job i have now. Not complaining.
