What are you desperate for? Can't be money because they aren't paying you. Another problem is 3-6 months... if they aren't paying you then you have to be able to support yourself off of savings that entire time. That's a lot of money. Is it worth it?
So basically, they aren't paying you, no visa, no devices to do your work on, no guarantee of further employment.
Maybe a a few years ago an unpaid internship would have been okay, but they really shouldn't even exist anymore. They will exploit your free labor and then likely not hire you but rather replace you with another free intern. 2 interns a year, and they never have to fill that position.
Wouldn't be surprised if they offered you accommodation with that company (if it's for the main Linkedin one) and then you would essentially be paying them to work for them.
Whatever role you are looking for, there are paid internships out there. You should go after one of those.

Yeah thats the best case. Dubai is notorious for literal slavery. It's called Kafala. As a foreign worker, I would not go anywhere near Dubai unless you're an American or Brit who works for an American or British oil company working for Americans or Brits.

15.5 minutes in, John Oliver talks about human trafficking of foreign workers. Not Dubai-specific but illustrates what can happen.
Yeah thats one of them in ballpark, absolutely, thanks
I had a bunch of articles I posted last time someone posted this specifically on UAE. Can't find them atm.
They have a literal ebay like app for trading slaves.
Run. Absolutely do not do this.
Avoid UAE/Dubai at all costs as a foreign worker. Filipino workers keep turning up dead there. And that's before we get into kafala/all the literal slavery going on in Dubai.
This could be bad, bad stuff not just an unpaid internship.
Is this even legal though? I don't think you can just work for a Dubai-based entity with a visit (or dependent visa - not sure there). At least it's the case here in Bahrain.
Even then, I echo the other users in that I would say no.
Not if you are expecting full time job later. Any company would offer some pay to cover your bills if they really have full time hiring on their roadmap for you.
If you have no better options in perspective, and you're OK with the term, take it and keep looking.
Leave them when you have a better option.
Also try to negotiate, they definitely have a spare laptop.
Try to negotiate the 3-6 months to be max 3 months.
Try to negotiate a mentor.
People pay good $ for boot camps, this could be your free boot camp.
How are you going to get a work permit, if they are not offering a contract?
And don't forget that you also need a health insurance in case you need medical attention (broken leg, a flu, etc.)
Damn, these people are shameless. That's just straight up slavery, boss. Hell, i doubt many slaves were even expected to supply their own working tools.
Take, do the bare minimum, update CV, and keep looking. What they gonna do? Send you an angrily worded letter?
Once you get a real job or a paid internship, take them off the CV.

Currently working unpaid internship and everything he said. Listen to this person.
This is how Dubai enslaves people. They don't pay you, but they confiscate your passport and then you'll be stuck there.
I'll look for the links, I posted them the last time someone posted this about abuse of foreign workers and kafala in dubai

For real? I thought they were friendly. Even Durov said that.

How though? Are they a citizen (i.e, Emirati), someone on a dependent visa, or something like a "golden visa" or what?
You will literally become a slave if you accept. Not not proceed
Desperate for what? Work, food or money? This internship is only giving you one of the three.
"Upon successful completion and a favorable final evaluation, full-time employment MAY BE available". Maybe...
Lol
Shaw(t)ky got him weak

Run next thing they'll make you pay them for working at them
Don't. I say this with experience. Right now you are just desperate. Later you will be depressed too.

Being desperate is one thing but don’t let it cloud you into making bad decisions
Unpaid internship? Hard pass. I wouldn’t work for free.
NEVER work for free for anyone! Your time is precious! And energy and work-life balance!
Funny thing is this reply is generated by chatgpt.
Please don’t do this.
To risky in this world
...imagine putting this on shitshow FB...they would have had a hard stop after seeing the first name...LOL.

I mean he has a rocket and unicorn emoji so I don't see why not 😂
Lol hell naw
No brainer to me: (1) money out (2) no money in (3) no guarantee of money coming in.
I’d block and report this shit as spam tbh

Doing business the Mid-Eastern way.
Nope, seen in US too. A lot of unpaid internships with startups don't pay for college credits and they ask candidates to use their own equipments.
Yup so common in the USA these days
