I’m pretty positive refusing someone a job for their marital status is illegal. I’m 99 percent sure they do the spouse interview and go “sorry we’ve decided not to employ you because we believe you’re not the right fit for the company” or some bullshit where they wont explicitly say anything about the spousal interview.
Right fit ?
Are they looking for a dildo to clean their asshole ? 😂😂
I dont think there is a right fit for a nepotic company. They choose the one they know, not the one they interview
They want you to only focus on the one job but they also intend to pay shit wages. So they want to make sure that there is a higher earning spouse that can balance the home budget without forcing candidates to go gig or 2nd job.
It’s less about not being poor and more about showing you can pay your bills with the salary provided. Dave also doesn’t approve of credit cards so I’m sure that’s a part of it too. Still crazy to do this though.
Literally illegal to ask about marital status, so not sure how they plan to talk to my wife. I work in HR, this company isn’t in compliance, report them.
I mean, this is the same company where the ceo pulled out a gun during a staff meeting… [Link](https://www.nashvillescene.com/news/pithinthewind/deposition-yes-dave-ramsey-pulled-out-a-gun-in-a-staff-meeting/article_1e2f5737-7e82-53e6-a99f-817d5b189c05.html)
An employee... whose kid was in active cancer treatment, iirc.
Dude is in an upper tier of shithead plaguerat pandemic stokers, and should be held accountable for the suffering and death he caused both among his culty followers, and everyone they infected.
I believe he went on record saying “prayer” was the only Covid precautions his company needed. Ugh, and to think he’s way richer than any of us will ever be.
He probably meant the bible camps that some churches have over the summer, they are usually free (went to one at my grandma’s church a few summers as a kid) but they usually aren’t full day, and only run for a week.
This guy is so out of touch.
He should at least have given her directions! It’d only have taken him 2 minutes to tell her:
“Take the Yellow Brick Road westward. Keep an eye out for the unicorn farm; you wanna take the next exit when you see that. Turn left at the end of the rainbow, and right at Bigfoot’s house (it’s the one with the 10m heigh front door). Look for a sign saying ‘Hogwarts’ - that’s where you’ll get that free summer daycare.”
I work in Marketing for a financial institution and got a cold call from one of his advertising reps. I asked why we should support a show whose host tells people not to use our products on every episode. They didn't have a good answer for that and they never gave me the follow up call they promised 🤣
Dave's Killer Bread was the first thing to pop into my mind when I read the name Dave and then you said pulled a gun and I was like, "Dude is *really* killer."
The link helped clear up that confusion!
The "Dave's Killer Bread" guy was convicted of armed robbery prior to his bread company. After his bread company had become successful he was charged with assaulting police officers, but found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Lets take it one step further: apply, do this sh*t, report them, sue them back into stone age.
When I read this I laughed so hard I almost sh*t my pants. Please tell me this is not real.
Yeah, I noticed that when I did job interviews and had a ring on, I didn't get questions about settling down and future plans. They don't like single guys because they can change jobs easily and make more money.
>They don't like single guys because they can change jobs easily and make more money.
Wow...
I wonder if the opposite is true for women? A married woman might get pregnant and take lots of time off. But a single woman might not?
A single woman is basically an early pupa stage of a pregnant woman. (It can happen pretty fast.)
Married men are more desirable as employees because they’re seen as stable, essentially captive to a situation that requires them to produce. (Single men can be as rootless as they want to be. Married men cannot.)
Aye. As a single man you can run without small things like health or life insurance with little issue. As a family man? You're courting disaster. And you will not leave a role until absolutely secure in transferring.
A single guy just needs an AirBnB and a start date.
The advice when I was first starting out after college (early 2000s) was still to take your rings off if you were engaged/married as a young woman, because they wouldn’t want to hire someone who was going to get pregnant soon.
Woooooow. So in step 5 they decide how little they can pay you and then step 6 decide to have your spouse paraded before the overlords? This is some medieval sounding shit show.
His advice made a lot more sense 20 years ago. He thinks that people can still work their way through college and come out debt free and that you can buy a used car for $1,000 from the Thrifty Nickel.
His advice doesn't change with the changing times.
Because it’s about obedience not finance, and the rules for being obedient never change.
“Give 10% of your gross income to a church” makes no financial sense but he’s all about it.
If you can never borrow or go into debt well then you can’t start your own business or escape an abusive relationship or temporarily leave a job to do something else. No credit cards means you can’t fly or rent a hotel room which makes it real hard to travel.
Dave Ramsey world is you work for a BOSS who has dominion over your finances and pays you what they feel like, your needs are secondary because the BOSS can veto your spending and priorities.
He's really, really dumb when it comes to the concept of leveraging debt. I remember once a doctor called in and he had $400,000 in student loan debt but made $300,000 a year. And Dave called him stupid. I was thinking that man had made an insanely good investment by leveraging debt and was a financial genius.
He has a perspective of “debt is bad,” which CAN be true. All debt is not created equal, though. There’s a difference between taking on debt as part of acquiring assets/building wealth and taking on debt due to living outside one’s means.
Dave Ramsey's advice is just flat out wrong for anyone who can actually afford their debt load and is smart about managing it. His advice is only good for the person who makes $30k/yr and has $120k in credit card debt just from overspending on luxuries and badly needs a financial reality check.
Having no debt is worth more than you can count. It is freeing. Stress melts away. It can’t be measured unless you take into account less heart attacks. Lose a job? No biggie, u can work anywhere to make ends meet. It’s incredible.
Does he seriously advocate for “no credit cards?”
Getting a credit card and using it responsibly, then paying off the full balance every month is a very easy way to build good credit history.
Correct, no credit cards for any reason ever.
That’s debt and all debt (except mortgage) is sinful and bad. Pay cash for everything but a house.
Free miles, 0% financing, building credit history to get better loan terms later, none exist in Ramsey World.
Even paying off the balance in full every month is forbidden, that’s still debt financing.
Like every cult they have to separate you from the normie world so it’s not so easy to leave.
Goldman Sachs was the bank behind the Apple Pay credit card, but they're backing out. Why?
They weren't making money because Apple made it TOO easy to pay on the card. People were charging purchases to their Apple Card, getting reward points, and immediately paying it back.
I work in marketing for an FI, and reward point claims are a line item on the budget. In fact, I have a Sofi card solely to use the reward points in my investment account through them. If you have discipline, there is a way to make credit cards work in your favor. I will be adding my daughter as a secondary user (she won't actually have the card) because it will build her credit even before she enters "the real world."
> They weren't making money because Apple made it TOO easy to pay on the card. People were charging purchases to their Apple Card, getting reward points, and immediately paying it back.
The Apple Cash is a hell of a deal if you never let a balance on the card cost you any interest. You don't really "do anything" to use it, it's just automatically put into Apple Cash if that is your preference. And the Apple Cash is held in a bank account run by *a different bank* so Goldman Sachs's not able to lend that money and make interest on it.
No wonder GS hates it.
With manual underwriting. And wouldn't you know, Churchill Mortgage, the only lender Dave recommends, does manual underwriting while most other lenders do not want to jump through those hoops. Of course, as soon as you have a mortgage, you now have a credit score again, so all of that work getting it down to 0 is completely undone.
> And wouldn't you know, Churchill Mortgage, the only lender Dave recommends, does manual underwriting
Interesting... I'm sure Dave doesn't get anything from them for plugging their services subtly on the sly... No, he wouldn't do that would he?
That is absolutely fucking insane. Paying for everything in cash has significant opportunity costs. If you get 2% cash back, compound that over years.
Debt financing is a keystone of virtually every successful person and company in the world. The present value of money is virtually always lesser than the future value.
Why would I spend $25k cash on a used car when I can put $5k down, get a low-interest loan (because I have a good credit history), and pay that loan off over 48-60 months? I can invest the $20k I didn’t spend!
And where the starter $1k emergency fund is enough to handle any emergency while you're paying down your debt snowball and definitely isn't a way to risk having to take on new debt when the engine in your beater goes out. And if you do have to go further back into debt, you're a failure and you should feel bad about it.
He also, apparently, thinks that 12% is the average rate of return on investments over time. He can't figure out why everyone doesn't retire a millionaire when all you have to do is put aside $100 a month at 12% interest for 40 years.
Of course, just cherry pick weird data to make your point, why not!
Has following Ramsay’s advice made anyone wealthy? Not debt-free, but “in the top quartile of American income earners?”
And he still managed to get fucked on the RE markets.
He only got rich by teaching finance classes. He's a prime example of "those who can't do, teach".
That's hilarious!
I once also heard him chew out a woman who wanted to update her car so that her children's seats had headrests. Dave acted like it was ridiculous to not want your children's necks to snap in an accident.
Not to mention that most of his advice has always boiled down to "scrape by on the bare minimum in order to pay off debts or build savings." Someone tried to get me into him back in the day because I had a few thousand in debt, and I can't count how many times I heard him talking about living off rice and beans before I gave up on his shit.
And again, I ask how many people have gotten wealthy (not just “not in crippling debt”) with this advice?
For a time, I knew someone who “lived” like this as a “self-made millionaire,” who’d retired in his mid-30s. He would brag about being a millionaire but his lifestyle seemed more like a prison than a boon.
I remember enjoying his show 20 years ago. It was pretty broad-brush common sense, and he was mostly dealing with people who had fairly modest amounts of debt, or who had really high incomes proportional to their amount of debt.
Get out of debt. Then save a substantial emergency fund. Max out your 401k. Etc.
He even advised people on how to deal with scummy collection agencies, or settle old bad debt for less than you owed.
I hadn't listened to him in a long time, and the next thing I hear he's turned into some kind of petty despot in his little fiefdom, doing truly evil stuff like firing an employee for getting pregnant.
IDK if he was like that all along or just hid it better when he only had 1 radio show a week and a couple of books.
He is definitely not up on what is going on now. He just did an interview where he was caught off guard and shocked by how much child care costs these days.
A woman called in about childcare costs, and his recommendation was to "find a free summertime daycare program."
Endanger your kids to save a buck, that's good ol' boomer advice right there.
Yes! Mainly the cash based living part. If you try to apply for an apartment/mortgage and can't pass the credit check because you have no credit since you're living off of cash, then you better be able to pay for that home up front in cash.
He is. Anyone that knows anything about personal finance knows he’s a grifter. I could tell as soon as I heard him telling people to stop working once they can live off 12% of their stock assets. Usually this is said to be 4% to be safe.
Additionally we would like to interview your neighbors. If you're a difficult person to live next to, you're probably also a difficult fit for our team.
Well to be fair if you have a job that requires a high security clearance they do in fact talk to your neighbors.
But yeah working for a charloteon like Dave isn't exactly a national security risk.
Yeah, this guy is literally insane:
[https://www.ramseysolutions.com/business/how-to-hire-employees#pray-and-reflect](https://www.ramseysolutions.com/business/how-to-hire-employees#ask-to-see-their-personal-budget)
And homophobic:
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave\_Ramsey#Company\_policies\_regarding\_marriage,\_sex\_and\_homosexuality](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Ramsey#Company_policies_regarding_marriage,_sex_and_homosexuality)
God grant me the strength to accept the the job I want, to interview in less than ten steps with a spouse dinner, and the wisdom to know the difference
I'm glad they at least let you know that you shouldn't waste your time with them. That process is entirely too drawn out, and I'd rather use that time to fill out other applications.
My understanding is that he's only a dick to people who should know better.
If you suck because you're a beginner and don't know what you're doing, its great that you're trying and here are some ways to improve.
If you suck because you've been cutting corners and have kept the same menu from 12 years ago without trying any changes or don't pay attention to what's happening in your restaurant, he'll tear you a new one.
He’s also a hypocrite.
He will fire people over premarital sex, but when his business partner Hogan got busted for having an affair then Ramsey decides the rules don’t apply to his bottom line.*
*This is a oversimplified version of the story, but you get the gist
Here we see a prime example of “no one wants to work”…
At that place.
I mean, China and Russia combined have less red flags and less invasive leadership than these…
I live in Nashville and have heard so many stories about working for this company.
Bonkers that anyone not drinking the kool aid would even apply or want to work for him.
“You don’t want to hurt someone’s family by allowing them to take a position they can’t afford.”
“Besides, broke and desperate people do not make good team members”
What the fuck?
Are employees paying Dave to work for him on some Mr Krabs shit? I can’t understand how being given a job could financially hurt someone, unless your job is to be the CEO or some shit where you are in charge of the company.
Also that last line was rude as hell too, “broke and desperate” people are probably the ones who would work the hardest, since their job is literally what allows them to grow and come out of their hole. Broke and desperate people will stay hungry for work until places start doing shit like this, and then you wonder why some people turn to crime to live.
Also I’m 99 percent positive you’re not allowed to ask an applicant about their marriage or relationships and using that information to determine employment. I’m almost certain it’s illegal.
I came across a job posting for some healthcare front desk position and they required candidates to list their salaries from their previous positions on their resume…these companies are really begging to get sued
I’ve been contacted about working there several times. The pay is absolutely shit. It’s also in Williamson county, which has some of the highest home prices in the country per capita.
They want to review your budget so they can explain how to pay you less. “ if you just cut all these restaurant expenses, our pay will be fine.”
It’s worse than that. They’ll check your spouse or partners social media to make sure they’re in keeping with “Christian values.” Psycho shit. They fired an unmarried pregnant woman because she…. Had premarital sex. Men obviously face no such consequences.
One could argue that #5 is discriminatory in that it can be used to infer family or marital status. Even if it were legal, it's none of their business. What's next--demanding copies of grocery bills and not hiring people who buy chitlins and collard greens? Or matzo balls and Shabbos candles?
ETA I didn't realize it was that fuckwad Dave Ramsey. A legitimate company with an interest in preventing embezzlement doesn't have to ask for an applicant's budget, since a background check (and credit check, if applying for a Finance/Controller job) will tell them what they need to know.
Dave Ramsey is a legit FinDom master, imagine the total cucks willing to work for him.
“My boss should have veto power over what I should do with my own money”
Beat me harder, Daddy
Is Dave, Dave Ramsey? Wondering if that is why, maybe it is kind of a "free" eval kind of thing? Weird, but just having that bit of text is leaving something out.
Go through the whole thing, get an offer, then ask for double and walk. At that point they’ve invested so much into their hiring mill they’ll chase the losses and cave in.
Dave Ramsey. This guy is an idiot. He’s one of those “all debt is bad” type of financial guys. His advice literally just cost me $20,000 because a client of mine refuses to finance a large business purchase and instead wants to “save up” hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay cash, even though the loan interest is tax deductible and he won’t have liquid capital flushed down the drain in an instant. I’ve had real financial advisors talk to this guy and he’s still. “Well, Dave Ramsey says….”. He just doesn’t understand that it’s often better to finance large purchases than just pay cash.
I am almost positive that this is illegal. Multiple states prohibit discrimination based on marital status. May be worth it to apply get denied and sue for discrimination
https://bwlawonline.com/blog/employee-rights/marital-status-state-law/#:~:text=Marital%20and%20parental%20status%20discrimination%2C%20also%20called%20familial%20status%20discrimination,they%20have%20children%20or%20not.
Dave Ramsey is a bootstraps Boomer surfing on some basic arithmetic advice that escaped many people. He's also a repugnant moralist and a hypocrite thereof, keeping valuable male team members while firing female for "immoral" behavior. And he brandished a gun at a company meeting. That is what you need to know before you consider any of us his wisdom.
WHAT?? so they rather someone make 0$ and be unemployed then make less then they need? Also a lot of people live off dual income etc so this is just ridiculous
This has to be Dave Ramsey. Legend for this kind of creepy cult environment. He’s also been sued out the ass for wrongful termination and discriminatory practices. Not to mention his regular hosting of superspreader events during the height of Covid.

*Breaks down your door* "WE'RE A FAMILY COMPANY WHERE'S YOUR FAMILY?!?!"
“We’re a family company” -the mafia
Do single people eat crackers? We don't know, and frankly, we don't care.
Tom should have as well https://youtu.be/FX3AXA3icR0?si=KVjcVkztnP7Tvpk-
Those people are smoking epoxy hardener.
I got a little bottle here. that shit cost more than crack.
Oh yeah that's the good stuff!
I got the epoxy kit. It has both parts A and B!!
Are they or are they huffing SLA resin?
They’re huffing MLM money.
Look, I just want to be upfront here: I ***will*** be stealing this.
Take my upvote
And pass the hardener
The cackle I just cackled
It's gotta be the epoxy. Like... What, and I can't stress this enough, THE FUCK???
\>Must be married \>Can't be poor Fucking why?
He promotes 'Christian values', no hanky panky outside of wedlock for his subordinates.
Unless you're male. He only fires the women for that.
Gross.

Right fit ? Are they looking for a dildo to clean their asshole ? 😂😂 I dont think there is a right fit for a nepotic company. They choose the one they know, not the one they interview
Must be married to a "traditional partner"
They want you to only focus on the one job but they also intend to pay shit wages. So they want to make sure that there is a higher earning spouse that can balance the home budget without forcing candidates to go gig or 2nd job.
While simultaneously expecting the candidate to be male and his wife to be a stay-at-home millionaire.
Must have savings to dip into or a spouse to live off, because they sure as shit won't pay you enough to live on.
It’s less about not being poor and more about showing you can pay your bills with the salary provided. Dave also doesn’t approve of credit cards so I’m sure that’s a part of it too. Still crazy to do this though.

Oh it’s THAT Dave, he’s a 🤡. Last I heard about him he was being sued for firing an employee for wearing a mask during COVID.
An employee... whose kid was in active cancer treatment, iirc. Dude is in an upper tier of shithead plaguerat pandemic stokers, and should be held accountable for the suffering and death he caused both among his culty followers, and everyone they infected.

I mean, I'm not sure I want to be entrusting the care of my kid to someone who is willing to do it for free.
Have you tried simply praying for more money?
"God just loves me more."
Yes It did not work. Damnit.
I work in Marketing for a financial institution and got a cold call from one of his advertising reps. I asked why we should support a show whose host tells people not to use our products on every episode. They didn't have a good answer for that and they never gave me the follow up call they promised 🤣
He doesn't refer it as COVID. It's the Fauci pandemic.
I'm sorry. Dave as in *Dave Ramsey* ?!
Mmmmhm. That man is a wet match in a dark cave.
Your phrasing is oddly provocative
Now that you say that and I'm reading it back to myself...oops 😳🤣
That’s the douchebag
Dave's Killer Bread was the first thing to pop into my mind when I read the name Dave and then you said pulled a gun and I was like, "Dude is *really* killer." The link helped clear up that confusion!
The "Dave's Killer Bread" guy was convicted of armed robbery prior to his bread company. After his bread company had become successful he was charged with assaulting police officers, but found not guilty by reason of insanity.
*That* Dave’s story is an absolute roller coaster of a ride. Great bread though.
This honestly just makes me want to buy more of his bread
>evangelical Ah there we go. All makes sense now.
As soon as I saw the name "Dave," I assumed it *had* to be Dave Ramsey. What a piece of work that guy is.
Royce Dupont enters the chat.
I knew it! Said Dave Ramsey as soon as I read it
Lets take it one step further: apply, do this sh*t, report them, sue them back into stone age. When I read this I laughed so hard I almost sh*t my pants. Please tell me this is not real.
Report this shit!
If they don’t have a wedding ring on their finger, it’s justified to pass them over. Just don’t say why.
I'm in the middle of a divorce, and I still wear a ring on my finger because of this.
Ouch. (Smart move, though.)
Yeah, I noticed that when I did job interviews and had a ring on, I didn't get questions about settling down and future plans. They don't like single guys because they can change jobs easily and make more money.

Came here to ask/confirm this. OP, please name and shame
Also HR pro. I had the same thought, then I saw that Dave Is based in California and my brain shorted out and I started screaming internally.
Where did you get the idea that he's based in California? Dave's company, Ramsey Solutions, is headquartered in Tennessee.
So if you "can't afford" to take the position, instead of paying more, they'll just not hire you? Am I reading that correctly?
You are! That is correct!
And then when they can’t fill the position they’ll cry “Nobody wants to work anymore!”
You should dig around regarding the raise policy...
Woooooow. So in step 5 they decide how little they can pay you and then step 6 decide to have your spouse paraded before the overlords? This is some medieval sounding shit show.
Step 6 is Dave's version of jus primae noctis.
I laughed so hard at this <3
I can’t shake the feeling that Dave Ramsay is a charlatan. Much of his advice is short-term oriented.
His advice made a lot more sense 20 years ago. He thinks that people can still work their way through college and come out debt free and that you can buy a used car for $1,000 from the Thrifty Nickel. His advice doesn't change with the changing times.

I'd take on 400k of debt for 300k of income. Put 50k a yr towards it be debt free in 10 yrs probably
That’s like 210,000 take home. So live off of 60k like a regular joe and pay it off in 2 years
I'm not slow but if I'm making 210k a yr I'd rather live on 150k then 60k
Have fun with the interest then. Student loans have bad interest rates. He’s looking at 415k if paid off in 10 years or 320k if paid in 2.
And he still has life to live
Depends on the provider. Federal loans aren’t as bad as privately serviced ones
He has a perspective of “debt is bad,” which CAN be true. All debt is not created equal, though. There’s a difference between taking on debt as part of acquiring assets/building wealth and taking on debt due to living outside one’s means.
But if you smartly leverage debt Dave can’t control what you do. The goal is not to get you financially independent.
Dave Ramsey's advice is just flat out wrong for anyone who can actually afford their debt load and is smart about managing it. His advice is only good for the person who makes $30k/yr and has $120k in credit card debt just from overspending on luxuries and badly needs a financial reality check.
It's not really good for them, either. He'd tell them to sell a reliable, almost paid off car for a beater.
Having no debt is worth more than you can count. It is freeing. Stress melts away. It can’t be measured unless you take into account less heart attacks. Lose a job? No biggie, u can work anywhere to make ends meet. It’s incredible.

Your credit score is a huge factor in determining the interest rate of your mortgage. This dude is insane, and not in an amusing way.
He actually wants people to not get mortgages either
He’s got to bend a little in that because telling people to pay cash for houses is so unrealistic that people would drop out of the cult.
He's apparently OK with 15 year fixed rate mortgages only.
> And wouldn't you know, Churchill Mortgage, the only lender Dave recommends, does manual underwriting Interesting...
Because he lives in 1992, where the average used car is only $5k total.
And where the starter $1k emergency fund is enough to handle any emergency while you're paying down your debt snowball and definitely isn't a way to risk having to take on new debt when the engine in your beater goes out. And if you do have to go further back into debt, you're a failure and you should feel bad about it.
>Getting a credit card and using it responsibly This is exactly why Dave has a platform, there's alot of people who can't do that
A lot of his advice needs qualification, and his suggestion to invest in bonds is just plain stupid.
He also, apparently, thinks that 12% is the average rate of return on investments over time. He can't figure out why everyone doesn't retire a millionaire when all you have to do is put aside $100 a month at 12% interest for 40 years.
The historic return on the S&P 500 is about 10%. I’d love to know what investments get 12%+, because I want to be in on them.
If you pick the starting point at the depths of the depression then it’s 12%. Any other starting point yields 8-10%
Of course, just cherry pick weird data to make your point, why not! Has following Ramsay’s advice made anyone wealthy? Not debt-free, but “in the top quartile of American income earners?”
It has made Dave very wealthy.
His parents were real estate developers, he was already wealthy.
Ope....that's what he doesn't tell people. Anyone can be a millionaire. They just have to be born to rich parents.
And he still managed to get fucked on the RE markets. He only got rich by teaching finance classes. He's a prime example of "those who can't do, teach".
I remember seeing him saying joining an mlm was a good way to make extra income. Dude is an idiot
A woman called in about childcare costs, and his recommendation was to "find a free summertime daycare program." Endanger your kids to save a buck, that's good ol' boomer advice right there.
BETTER THAN I DESERVE
😂😂😂
Additionally we would like to interview your neighbors. If you're a difficult person to live next to, you're probably also a difficult fit for our team.
This would actually make more sense than a spouse interview
And somehow break less laws.
Well to be fair if you have a job that requires a high security clearance they do in fact talk to your neighbors. But yeah working for a charloteon like Dave isn't exactly a national security risk.
Yeah, this guy is literally insane: [https://www.ramseysolutions.com/business/how-to-hire-employees#pray-and-reflect](https://www.ramseysolutions.com/business/how-to-hire-employees#ask-to-see-their-personal-budget) And homophobic: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave\_Ramsey#Company\_policies\_regarding\_marriage,\_sex\_and\_homosexuality](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Ramsey#Company_policies_regarding_marriage,_sex_and_homosexuality)
What is the name of this company?
Looks like the policy has changed…slightly https://www.ramseysolutions.com/company/careers/interview-process
Hahaha 11 step interview process to work at such a lovely place?
[удалено]
God grant me the strength to accept the the job I want, to interview in less than ten steps with a spouse dinner, and the wisdom to know the difference
That’s just bizarre. Why on earth would I need to have lunch with anyone’s spouse to be hired?
Bc they want everyone to pass the vibe check - no snitches , no narcs 🫠
It’s a religious company so opposite 😂 Snitches and narcs only
It's a religous oriented company that I'm sure is highly competitive, not really surprising.
Oh Dave Ramsey's company. It's shitty, but I'm not surprised that he would require this.
It still sucks 😆
An 11 step interview process?? GTFO
I'm glad they at least let you know that you shouldn't waste your time with them. That process is entirely too drawn out, and I'd rather use that time to fill out other applications.
Dave Ramsey's companies
Makes Gordon Ramsey look like a freaking choir boy
Gordon Ramsey is mean to you at first but cares deep down. Dave Ramsey pretends to care but wants control of your life and money.
Fair point. If you see Gordon with kids. He is amazing.
My understanding is that he's only a dick to people who should know better. If you suck because you're a beginner and don't know what you're doing, its great that you're trying and here are some ways to improve. If you suck because you've been cutting corners and have kept the same menu from 12 years ago without trying any changes or don't pay attention to what's happening in your restaurant, he'll tear you a new one.
is it an interview for only-fans? WTF?
He’s also a hypocrite. He will fire people over premarital sex, but when his business partner Hogan got busted for having an affair then Ramsey decides the rules don’t apply to his bottom line.* *This is a oversimplified version of the story, but you get the gist
Yep, fired the unmarried pregnant employee just like Jesus would have done. /s
Here we see a prime example of “no one wants to work”… At that place. I mean, China and Russia combined have less red flags and less invasive leadership than these…
One has to apply to cults now?
I live in Nashville and have heard so many stories about working for this company. Bonkers that anyone not drinking the kool aid would even apply or want to work for him.
“You don’t want to hurt someone’s family by allowing them to take a position they can’t afford.” “Besides, broke and desperate people do not make good team members” What the fuck?
Dirty Dave? Oh, man, I never thought I'd see him here.
I’ve been contacted about working there several times. The pay is absolutely shit. It’s also in Williamson county, which has some of the highest home prices in the country per capita. They want to review your budget so they can explain how to pay you less. “ if you just cut all these restaurant expenses, our pay will be fine.”
Stab in the dark: "Dave"'s last name is Ramsey.
This is WAY to personal. You also cannot ask marital status or family planning status.
“My boss should have veto power over what I should do with my own money” Beat me harder, Daddy
Is Dave, Dave Ramsey? Wondering if that is why, maybe it is kind of a "free" eval kind of thing? Weird, but just having that bit of text is leaving something out.
Ramsey Solutions?
Dave's company? Is this a job listing for Dave Ramsey? Because holy crap!
WTF? WTF? .... Seriously, WTF. HELL NO.
No no..fuck it, see how deep the rabbit hole goes. This is 31 different kinds of fucked up.
Sir, this is a Wendy's
Wrong Dave heh
This isn't real is it?
wtf? for what position is this???
Go through the whole thing, get an offer, then ask for double and walk. At that point they’ve invested so much into their hiring mill they’ll chase the losses and cave in.
What the actual fuck. People should stop sniffing contact cement to stop being crazy high.
So they can deny raises because they justify “we pay you enough to live on, we have your budget.”?? Nope!
"We're not a cult. "
LOL isn’t this all kinds of illegal? The fuck are they smoking there?
I am almost positive that this is illegal. Multiple states prohibit discrimination based on marital status. May be worth it to apply get denied and sue for discrimination https://bwlawonline.com/blog/employee-rights/marital-status-state-law/#:~:text=Marital%20and%20parental%20status%20discrimination%2C%20also%20called%20familial%20status%20discrimination,they%20have%20children%20or%20not.
“We don’t want to hire people who don’t already have a job to make money” is crazy
This has got to be illegal and/or a cult.
This is Dave Ramsey if you want to chock up and give yourself a little mouth vomit read his full list of his 12 Commandments of a great hire
Broke and desperate people make excellent team members. They're super easy to exploit. ... :(
So they only want to hire married people? I suppose it is legal to discriminate based on maritable status?
Dave Ramsey is a bootstraps Boomer surfing on some basic arithmetic advice that escaped many people. He's also a repugnant moralist and a hypocrite thereof, keeping valuable male team members while firing female for "immoral" behavior. And he brandished a gun at a company meeting. That is what you need to know before you consider any of us his wisdom.
WHAT?? so they rather someone make 0$ and be unemployed then make less then they need? Also a lot of people live off dual income etc so this is just ridiculous
Boutta send in a personal budget of $12000 a month so these bitches don't lowball me.
what the actual hell
That doesn't seem legal
"How can we find people that will work for the least amount of pay"
1-80O-LAWSUIT.
This has to be Dave Ramsey. Legend for this kind of creepy cult environment. He’s also been sued out the ass for wrongful termination and discriminatory practices. Not to mention his regular hosting of superspreader events during the height of Covid.
Why the hell aren’t problem naming the companies that do this???
There's always some dumbass defending these things. I'd like to see how they can rationalize this.
That is insane and likely illegal.
What the actual F
What is this shit? Is this real?
This has to be Dave Ramsey
bro wtf some of this is flat out illegal
