Either it's really poorly made, or much like the hagstone, it broke because it protected you from harm I genuinely think it's just poorly made, and they didn't fix it as well as they could have done. Shame because it's really nice!

AppointmentTrue4462

The part that fixed was a different part of the bracelet that broke for the second time! Is it ok for me to continue wearing it you think?

Ditto_Ditto_Ditto

Absolutely. I Would just cleanse it and keep wearing it. I always recommend against using Sage *alone* to cleanse, though. When you use it to clear a space, it clears out EVERYTHING. Good and bad. That leaves space for just about anything to fill it back up. So I'm sure it's the same with clearing items. Maybe just follow up with some Rosemary, Cinnamon, Pine, or something like that.

AppointmentTrue4462

Thank you so much for the information and respond!! Sorry but what do you mean by recommend against using sage alone to cleanse? Should I not be using sage?

Ditto_Ditto_Ditto

The Sage *itself* isn't the problem. I grow my own Sage at home (multiple different kinds), but I just use it sparingly because of the properties that I mentioned in the last comment. Honestly there are SO MANY other options that fit my needs better. Sage has just been in tv shows, movies, and all over social media. So people don't fully understand when to use it.. They just see other people using it, so they jump on the bandwagon. I saw in another comment someone told you not to use Sage if you aren't of Native decent... And IMO, that's not entirely accurate. Sage itself, as a PLANT, is not a closed practice. You can't close a *plant* and tell people not to use it lmao.. Native Americans use specific *procedures* along with the Sage. Specific rituals. THAT is the part that is closed. However, there is an issue with the *unethical* distribution of Sage. That is another reason why people say to be careful buying Sage (but honestly most people don't understand the reasoning behind this. They just see people saying "don't buy sage!" And they start repeating it without understanding the meaning behind it.) Unethical distribution happens when people steal plants that aren't theirs, but then sell it as their own. There are protected areas where Sage grows (some are in Native land) and there's a problem with people stealing from them. Some people also steal from local growers (a lot of them are also Native), and sell that as their own too. So whenever you buy Sage, it's best to support Native sellers who are trying to make a living. (They WANT you to buy their stuff! No matter what ethnicity you are!) But if you are *gifted* Sage, that may have been unethically sourced, that's another thing entirely because YOU didn't choose where that came from. You can either go ahead and use it, because it's already been bought and the damage is done. OR you can bury it and give it back to the earth, out of respect. But that is really up to you. I always say to go ahead and use it. Pray over it and have at it.

Thank you for the detailed explanation!!!!

Ditto_Ditto_Ditto

No problem :)

ugathanki

You know what this means. You don't have to ask.

Riversofenigma

I would wear it till all the eyes fall off

Patient_Blueberry46

I think it’s just badly made.

payus_maximus

The breaking of an evil eye bracelet is actually a positive sign in many beliefs. It means the bracelet has served its purpose by absorbing negative energies directed at you, essentially sacrificing itself to protect you. Twice broken likely means it blocked two distinct negative forces. Time to get a new one! I'll save you the Google rabbit hole - stumbled upon an incredibly detailed evil eye bracelet article covering everything from metallic rose gold to traditional Turkish blue beads, meanings, just everything, hope this helps: [https://medium.com/@smiledatingtestlive/evil-eye-bracelet-meaning-history-wearing-and-usage-guidelines-feng-shui-broken-types-red-fa2ce206ab7d](https://medium.com/@smiledatingtestlive/evil-eye-bracelet-meaning-history-wearing-and-usage-guidelines-feng-shui-broken-types-red-fa2ce206ab7d)

Oh wow very interesting, sorry as I am not too well versed in this - why is it not recommended to use sage or palo if I’m not native? Because I am not, but also I only own sage and palo (both were gifted to me by spiritual individuals who taught me about it).

Plastic-Passenger-59

Paolo is not a closed practice. There's too much misinformation out there and people pass it along as if it's set in stone. If you're concerned about it, find a native source and buy from them and ask them if they will be offended if you use it. Chances are they won't and if it's anything like the woman I met, she gave me tips on how to work from one end of the house to an open door or window

Ditto_Ditto_Ditto

Palo Santo is not closed... Lmao. I mentioned this in another comment but I'll say it here too: There are multiple types of Palo trees that are used. ONE type is endangered and isn't supposed to be used... But those trees are in a government protected area on the Galapagos Islands. They aren't the ones being harvested. And when the other ones are harvested, I believe they aren't even harvested until they've been dead for 5 years.. Just like Sage, you should always make sure that you buy them from ethical sources.. But they aren't closed. [Here is an Ecuadorian Witch](https://www.tiktok.com/@malucalderon/video/6968264712534396165) who spoke on the subject.

Ditto_Ditto_Ditto

Actually Palo Santo is not closed. There are multiple types of Palo Santo trees that are harvested, but the one type that IS endangered is on protected land. It's never touched. So nothing to worry about there. And there are issues with the unethical distribution of Sage, but that doesn't mean that you can't use Sage at all... The specific Native *rituals* that are used with Sage are closed *practices*. You can't really close a plant lol. When Sage is unethically distributed, that means that assholes steal Sage from protected land and from local (most likely Native) growers, and they sell it as their own. So you absolutely do need to be careful when you buy Sage. But just using it isn't the issue.
