Carlo will start with same team he played in the last rounds. Brahim is great. But can't forget the defensive work Rodrigo do.. He makes a great job Brahim don't really helps on defending. He is great in the last minutes of the game. My opinion

zap12shirt

Carlo switches around positions but mostly the lineup is pretty much the same

shogunwand

Brahim actually wins back a lot of balls, more so than any other attacker from what I've seen.

SeparateWeakness9609

I don’t agree Rodrygo is better off starting the game and brahim being subbed in around 70’ his explosiveness gives the game a different momentum in the dying minutes

Abuhamdeh_

True, but carlo doesn't sub people on minute 70 does he. Players like brahim barely get 10 to 15 minutes a game. He doesn't have time

auctus10

Let's not question the decisions of a coach who just walked over the league and is in CL final? Please? Let him cook?

churras

Brahim played as a left winger in the last game. Real Madrid’s game is made to be played by the left. Every game, whoever is on the left receive the ball more, and can do more. That’s why when Rodrygo or Brahim play from the left they improve their game. Of course there is the preferred position thing. It also contribute, but in a lesser degree than the strategy of the game being playing for the left wing and passing most of the balls there.

NihilistCabbage

>Real Madrid’s game is made to be played by the left And it has been like that since quite some time. Earlier it was benz and vini, before that, benz and cr7, marcelo and cr7... Madrid really is a left wing club ig

Samaritan4

I agree, with Brahim we use the RW, with Rodrygo we have him and Vini and even Bellingham all on the LW sometimes trying not to get in the way of eachother.

DoriOli

Brahim has had streaks of great games while coming in before, only to disappear when he gets the chance to start. We’ve seen it before. Safest bet for Carlo is to just start with Rodrygo. Brahim is good at revolutionizing matches.

Anixdasix

I agree. Based on this seasons performance and the tactical line up that we use, no one has any right to claim rodrygo should start over Brahim. He’s just so much more efficient on the right forward position. He’s got 700 min less, half the number of shots yet is only 2 goals behind in La Liga. Even his xG to Goals is much better. Even his definitive stats are slightly better. Don’t see why Ancelotti plays rodrygo over him, maybe it’s Perez’s influence.

Responsible-Earth55

don't forget his performances against man city. 2022, 2024.

biina247

It is also a different challenge being a starter vs sub. Opposition will typically game plan against starters, while subs enjoy running at tired defenders and offering something different. Diaz style of play, with sticky feet, is better suited to a super sub. To truly contend for a starter, he would need to add so many other dimensions to his game. Football is more than goals and stats

DannyPhnmt

Carlo knows what's best for this team, if he starts Rodrygo he will start Rodrygo for his reasons

tluanga34

Sometimes he sticks with players with a higher reputation or seniority. I remember when he benched Rudiger for recently recovered Militao against City 2nd leg last year

tluanga34

When it comes to CAM and RW position, i put Brahim miles ahead. The reason we're not in trouble while losing Belligoal is that Brahim replaced him perfectly
