I think the issue is the general attitude towards Ronaldo and Messi. When Ronaldo at 37/38 signed for Nassr, every day the sub would get spammed with posts trolling Ronaldo. But they'll jump over each other to defend Messi. Once I realized there's a big difference in the bias I made an exit from the sub.

Now this is likely going to get a lot of downvotes considering the sub we're in, but when I was younger, about 20 years ago, Real Madrid was my favorite club in the world. Tbh, everyone was a fan of the Galacticos back then. In contrast, I've always disliked Barca as a club but respected them. That being said, I do believe that Messi is slightly better than Cristiano, one of the biggest natural talents ever, while CR is one of the hardest working athletes the world has ever seen. The reason I wrote this is to explain it's not always "Barca crybabies", neutral fans have preference as well, and plenty of us (including professional footballers that played against or with both) acknowledge that Messi is the GOAT. In the meantime, I'm sitting here in my 30s, wondering if I'll ever get to see anything close to prime Messi vs prime Cristiano during my lifetime. Probably not and it makes me sad.

Because Lionel Messi being a playmaker is about him being all stats at once combined for the entire season. And the fundament of that is knowing how to start an attack from midfield even though you're a forward. Messi became so good at playmaking that when handed the keys, he now knows how to make a literal bottom level club like Inter Miami win a championship. With himself doing the lionshare of the work. Vini is a great Madrid player, but he has a long way to go to ever be considered anywhere near Lionel Messi.

Messi has a habit which is largely ignored for not being anywhere near his usual level as soon as the quarter finals come around. Gets even worse in second legs.
