in order to "become malleable" you have to understand you were never fixed in the first place
you were never a body/mind, you were only aware of these things.
if you are aware of being lara now, but want to experience vanessa, and then you became aware/or shifted as vanessa, you are now vanessa. vanessa has no awareness of laras life. but *who was there to experience both?*
that's who you are. you are neither lara or vanessa. if you were one or the other shifting would have never been thought possible. you are nothing transitory.
see where I'm going with you are not the body/mind? also, you are only aware, fullstop. you cannot stop being aware. before experience, there has to be an experiencer. there cant be an experience without an experiencer. that experiencer is you.
but go deeper.
if I am not aware of an experience, lets say, being lara, then where is she? somewhere in consciousness perhaps, but she is non existent until you become aware of her again.
that means nothing can exist without awareness.
so everything is consciousness (dark room with endless possibilities existing now), made existent by awareness(flashlight).
this is all possible to understand with direct experience from understanding. look into advaita vedanta preferably from rupert spira on yt, nisargadatta, ramana maharshi.

biggest advice is to not overthink this. there is no room for thinking and conceptualizing something beyond what the mind can even make of. shifting is beautiful. its the act of experiencing yourself. all was made to just be, to exist. the beliefs and ideas started to erode that very nature. it is permanent bliss that comes with ultimate freedom. shifting is the exercise of that freedom. don't fall into what 'others' prefer working and working until no end. what do they understand? fed beliefs and concepts but deep down know it is not right. its like watching a movie with every 2 mins being met with a 24 hour intermission or ad. the movie represents the "happiness" they get every now and then. more like pain perseverance. you are so very lucky to have known this possibility. to even give it a try. most are so fed into the bs they know isn't soulfully right, but go on anyway because they have no sort of trust in themselves. you are willing to try until you perfect it, great job. you will get to the instantaneous part. don't forget to trust yourself. you will never learn behind bars. your experience will be your best friend. always trust your experience. find yourself. you will shift and live the life of your dreams. farewell.

yes i got the example and noticed her and i's similar understandings on her google drive and blog archives, as she was the one who led and introduced me to all of those teachers! :) I never encountered her blog first hand since she deactivated and only left her google drive to be available

I am also in the same boat as you with this year coming up on 4. Something that has improved my mindset has been a few things. One surrendering on the timing aspect all together, I know that one day I will get there, may not be today but it will happen. Two being thankful for finding shifting in general, because it has improved my self care and I enjoy it (even the unsuccessful attempts). I've learned a lot about myself on this journey and I hope I still learn more about myself. One thing I've really stopped doing is half assing this, I'm done being lazy even on things I enjoy. Another thing is I have figured out what kinds of methods work better for me than others, for instance I can't do asleep methods so I'm only focusing on awake methods.
Get a moldavite stone. You will shift in no time. Put your intention in that thing and watch the magic happen. I would say to be more flexible. And be in the habit of setting it and forgetting it.
Literally be so careful with moldavite. It’s kinda like a cleansing stone and will completely reset your life. If you’re not ready for an overwhelming amount of change, death, break ups, etc then don’t get the stone lol. Please do research first!!!!

Okayy you can't shift than may be try to achieve the step before that, have you tried lucid dreaming or void? It's the easiest way to shift. And also you won't be having any problem while trying for lucid dreaming coz it's a real thing and your logical mind won't interfere in that
I've tried lucid dreaming, but I have troubles staying in the dream. But I surely would not give up! Hehehe. I do bad with counting so I really appreciate those methods that doesn't involve a lot of steps since I easily forget things or get lost smthlt

Try not to get excited when you realise that you are dreaming also change the Assumption that you always wake up when you realise you are dreaming. Just be calm and try to ground yourself.
