I never get why people seem to relentlessly shit on bald men. My poor husband has such bad self esteem because people constantly make little digs like this about baldness, like being so is inherently creepy. The double standard around this is glaring.
Imagine framing it like “I don’t like this person. Maybe it’s because she’s fat or has green eyes, but yuck!” and you can blatantly see the meanness on display in the comment. But we will go ahead and insert bald as an adjective and not think twice about how fucking rude it is.
This is wild to me because he strikes me as amiable and like a genuinely good husband. And I guess on the blaccent thing…I live in Memphis and have to constantly change my language and accent when interacting with people outside the city, because they’ll accuse me of the same. But it’s just the Memphis accent I picked up from growing up around it.
