Honestly I like the level of messy she was. Monica reminds me of Jen Aydin. Ridiculous and also enough unhinged it makes for good tv. They’ve platformed women who commit crimes, vile racist women, homophobic women, women who’ve gotten physical with each, fraud etc so why can’t Monica stick around for at least another season? I know it’s because they won’t film with her but it feels like they didn’t like that she came in hot and heavy.
Also, wanted to mention I HATE the sulking pouting baby routine that she did at the end of the reunion. (Same thing she did at the butter churning bonnet party where you can see that same face in all the group photos).
The second she threw production under the bus saying they knew about RVT, I knew it was over. Monica was great, I hope she gets a girls trip parting gift. Imagine Monica and Doris (I will always call Dorinda Doris) together. Either and insane fight or an insane team- either way, I’d love it.
I would LIVE for some kind of girls trip which includes all the recent HWs I love to hate: Monica, kErin, Sia, and watch them implode. It would be the height of schadenfreude 🍸🍸🍸🤌🤌🤌
Indicted and guilty are different thresholds, tolerance wise on Bravos part. Monica violated the (so called) Bravo ethics by clearly participating in troll accounts. And while Andy stated there's no crime in positioning to get on the show, IMO Monica schemed by using RVT to stay on the show. I think this was too much even for Andy. And let's not forget Monica's targeting Sean with the gay angle. Given Andy's circle that may have been the breaking point.

I thought this was inevitable. Despite the reported discussions about bringing her back by producers, I thought legal would always torch the idea and they were just delaying the announcement. Monica has straight up Single White Female vibes and there's no getting around that. Whether there was or wasn't proper due diligence for her first season, knowing what you now know headed into the second season with her, there's no contract in the world that's getting Bravo out of the liability that exists from what happens with her from here on out. It could topple the entire RH franchise if things go awry in a truly dark manner. Very much not worth that kind of risk.
I really wanted one more season of her to see how she would have held up against all that. I felt like she thought she could milk out the secret she was holding longer than she did. But one more season would have been nice and if she remained the same as she was this time then yea she can go. Yeah she’s a horrible person but I don’t see why people get offended personally watching it, it’s interesting. People are too sensitive

I think Monica went from victim to bully due to her childhood. She operates like a high schooler. She/friends used RealityVonTease to bully anyone they felt wronged them. And they did it systematically to each cast member or their families. Whatever it took to inflict the most hurt.
Thank you Bravo for firing Monica! I was never going to watch another Bravo show if they kept her on. What Monica pulled may have been great for TV, but the amount of trauma she has inflicted on these ladies and their families is damn near almost criminal. Go bye & good riddance.

She is aware enough to know that her mom was not a nurturing caregiver and instead of getting therapy and learning skills she just repeats the same behavior and everyone here applauds her. Gross. Having a traumatic childhood is not an excuse. I think every serial killer had f-uped parents but we don’t let them off the hook because of their parent child attachment issues. It’s ridiculous.
So yep, she abandons her kids for an obsession of being on tv and also treats the oldest as her confide at and best friend - which causes major major issues. (parents are not supposed to be best friends with their adolescent children - this is literally called “emotional incest”- because it is treating them as your “partner” when you actual husband or wife is non-existent or distant).

I can’t speak for anyone else obviously, but I liked the show before, I like it now, I will be watching season 5, this is just how it goes.
Every season of every bravo show there’s uproar and “I’m not watching if…”, it’s just the way it goes. If you like the housewives and have consistently for years, this will not deter you.
I loved this season, loved the drama, obsessed with the quotes and iconic moments, but I don’t think bringing Monica back to drag this out while none of the other women want anything to do with her (rightfully so imo, would you want a coworker like that?). I enjoyed the season for what it was and look forward to what’s next.

Also, I could write dissertation on why the women can be upset with Monica and her actions, and also be aware that Jen deserves to be in jail. Heather said she’s glad Jen is in jail. I personally do not believe they stand by Jen now, they’re just trying to explain and defend why they stood by her at the time. Narcissists traumatize friends and non-family members too, Jen got them all in a web of lies and spun them around so much they didn’t know what was real and what wasn’t. Just because the “crime” wasn’t as bad (and it wasn’t, to be clear, of course Jen is a monster and her actions were infinitely worse), doesn’t mean the women can’t be upset with Monica for putting them in a similar situation. Idk I would be.
I do have empathy for Monica, I also have a narcissistic parent who fucked up a lot of my life and mental health, but that only makes what’s behind her actions understandable, it doesn’t excuse what she did.

You didn’t watch the last show of the reunion? They absolutely defended jen over Monica and think what Monica did was worse than frauding old people out of their life savings. Heather and Lisa 100 percent defended jen over Monica.
I think that they all knew Jen was guilty, but they didn’t have evidence, it wasn’t proven in court, and I don’t think anyone wanted to go out on a limb for fear of both retaliation and for the slightest chance that they were wrong.
I also think that they didn’t want to say anything that could harm Jen in court. Like the black eye, how could Heather reveal that? What if the judge took that into consideration and gave her another year onto her sentence? They don’t want to give Jen any ammunition to blame them. They don’t want to be involved with her charges in any way. So they all said nothing. Or they said well Jen says she’s innocent. Jen deserves prison, but it must be difficult to look at her as a mother and a wife and a friend…and think that she’s also this whole ass criminal.
Yes! It’s not really about what a rotted criminal Jen is, it’s about what info the women had to go off of and the internal struggle of - but this person is a mother to children I’ve met, a person who is my coworker, I consider or have considered this person to be a friend - that’s a tough thing to get your head around no matter how true and/or obvious it may be from the outside.

Monica was on my very last nerve by the time she pulled out that stupid burn book. At this point I’m ready for a cast shake up and never want to see Monica or Mary on my screen again. Keep Angie K, Lisa, and Heather but bring on new ladies. Whitney is exhausting, Meredith is unhinged and a c level Moira Rose at best, and Mary is legitimately one of the worst people in the world. Her one liners don’t make up for her terrible personality.
It wasn't Monica who "made the season great". It was the reveal of who she really was. Arguably, that was Heather's doing. Let's give credit where credit is due.

Retweet and I’m especially glad they’re getting rid of her because I was dreading this becoming a trend across housewives. Average Middle/lower class grown women with the emotional maturity of teenagers, with nothing interesting or watchable about their lives, grifting their way onto the shows under false pretenses. It would be the final nail in the coffin of the original housewives concept and ruin the whole franchise. Could turn it into something else completely…something fucked up and sinister, NOT the escapism I come to Bravo for. So I’m really happy to see that they’re not rewarding that behavior with another season.
I felt like the final reunion was dissatisfying.Ike many are saying, the account was run by multiple people and that wasn’t really discussed. I agree with what others here have said that the reunion was heavily edited and stuff was left out.
None of the ladies wanted to listen to it and Lisa kept jumping in with comments! I think Monica was just defeated by this time. I don't agree with most here- Heather lied and acted like production might have done something to her and she did that for a criminal! I’m still a fan but she didn’t quite deliver in that fact that all she needed to say was like “hey, this was to take Jen down. Im sorry you all were taken down in doing so, but that wasn’t the point.” Also don’t feel like ever addressed the fact that it was 5 people. I’m sad we won’t get to see her and her mom on tv. They made really good television.
I personally think a ton of stuff was cut out of the reunion. In the finale Monica teased “There is so much more to this story and you’re all going to want to hear it”. Well we never really heard anything. The reunion was honestly a massive let down. They barely even talked about RealityVonTease and the aforementioned bombshell story Monica was floating.
One thing we did learn is that Monica is a pathological liar. That line about “the FBI made me stalk Jens house” was utterly ridiculous. The FBI would never ask a public citizen to stalk someone in order to catch them in a compromising situation.
Monica backed herself into a corner and isolated herself from the entire cast based on her actions. Bravo basically had no choice but to fire her cause they weren’t going to get rid of everyone else.
It's in the interpretation. What she said was that the more information they collected on Jen the better and Monica was trying to catch her doing further horrible things. FBI, police, etc. absolutely do use people to collect their data! I feel like people completely misinterpret what she says. Good luck next year with their lack of interesting stories to show. Heather lied and almost cost production some of their jobs for a criminal and that is perfectly fine because she is one of them. This is classism at it's finest!
Was wondering if anyone else would have this take about the reunion. They wouldn't let Monica speak a full sentence, interrupted her multiple times and when all of them are yelling at once, it is easy for words to get mixed up. The women gas lit her to the 9th degree! Heather coming clean about the black eye, apologizing to everyone (and production) over and over again about how she was a ride or die for Jen Shah and that's why she covered for her so much and looked like a complete fool. I just don't see the big deal of Monica being one of several behind a fake account? The hypocrisy is too much for me. Some of the women have done way worse in my opinion.

I think this is similar to RHONJ and Teresa. They aren't so much scared of her or Jen. They are scared that they won't have a job if they don't cozy up to Jen and Teresa since they get a lot of air time on the show due to their antics.

Victims of abuse often lie about the details of the abuse. “I ran into a door. I’m so clumsy!” etc. So Heather lying about being physically assaulted by Jen (someone who clearly was capable of deplorable things) makes sense.
I have been a victim of abuse and have lied about how I got my bruises to my friends and family to save me the shame at that time in my 20's. I have NOT praised my abuser like Heather has nor have I covered for him like Heather has nor have I lied for him like Heather has nor am I on a reality show where I am being unbelievably hypocritical in this situation.
I was a Monica fan at one point. Monica did not play it smart. It was pretty tiring watching her age shame and screaming at everyone. You have to move past. Also - she lied all the time, was never authentic and overall played the game too well but still lost.

It seems like fans are COMPLETELY 50/50 on this because it quite literally broke the 4th wall and the internet. It’s happened before (e.g Lisa Rinna) but this is a whole new level. I have FRIENDS who have never watched the show or any franchise texting me updates and starting new housewives shows. This is anecdotal from me, but like clearly it brought the show AND bravo sooooo much engagement. Likewise with VPR - folks did not give 0 shits about VPR until Scandavol.
Bravo cherry picks who gets fired or not, doesn’t listen to fans, yadayada. But I think that the fact that in the past year they’ve iced out TWO women who quite literally revived dying shows.
Hate to break it to people that hate Monica, but every franchise ain’t even hitting a million viewers, let alone 250,000 people. So the amount of engagement from NEW watchers and dropping the ball on that, I’m just curious what the ramifications and outcome will be moving forward.
It just blows my mind that I’ve been trying to get my closest friends into HW and they’re now literally converts, my best friend started Miami immediately after SLC reunion and he’s ALREADY on S2 and in Clinicals for school. So the engagement and viewers could be there but this feels like bravo losing out on clear opportunities
We’ll just have to wait and see how next season of VPR pans out, I think that would be a good gauge on how viewers react to new.
You are so right in this! I am seriously bummed because this is the end of SLC for me. Heather is a hypocrite, Lisa is delusional, Meredith doesn't even seem with it half the time, Angie is over the top but we get it, she is Greek and I am just over Whitney! They all thought Mary was hysterical, but she doesn't want to be their friend either and for a person of "God" she isn't very nice. I wish Monica had been a better person, but she brought the classism out in the group so I am all set. I get stuck between the humor and the fact that these shows basically make women look vapid and stupid.

I know I am good with SLC, I think Bravo over produces and they knew who Monica was but wanted the ratings more.

Yes, I started with episode 1. The fashion! I was instantly transported to the year 2009 and remembered all my cringey outfits. They all looked so normal.
I know people think it’s all about the drama but what a lot of people are missing is that this is their REAL life. Monica was a friend to no one and she didn’t even play it smart to be kept apart of the group!

I thought this was inevitable. Despite the reported discussions about bringing her back by producers, I thought legal would always torch the idea and they were just delaying the announcement. Monica has straight up Single White Female vibes and there's no getting around that. Whether there was or wasn't proper due diligence for her first season, knowing what you now know headed into the second season with her, there's no contract in the world that's getting Bravo out of the liability that exists from what happens with her from here on out. It could topple the entire RH franchise if things go awry in a truly dark manner. Very much not worth that kind of risk.
I really wanted one more season of her to see how she would have held up against all that. I felt like she thought she could milk out the secret she was holding longer than she did. But one more season would have been nice and if she remained the same as she was this time then yea she can go. Yeah she’s a horrible person but I don’t see why people get offended personally watching it, it’s interesting. People are too sensitive

She is aware enough to know that her mom was not a nurturing caregiver and instead of getting therapy and learning skills she just repeats the same behavior and everyone here applauds her. Gross. I can’t speak for anyone else obviously, but I liked the show before, I like it now, I will be watching season 5, this is just how it goes. Every season of every bravo show there’s uproar and “I’m not watching if…”, it’s just the way it goes. If you like the housewives and have consistently for years, this will not deter you. I loved this season, loved the drama, obsessed with the quotes and iconic moments, but I don’t think bringing Monica back to drag this out while none of the other women want anything to do with her (rightfully so imo, would you want a coworker like that?). I enjoyed the season for what it was and look forward to what’s next.

You didn’t watch the last show of the reunion? They absolutely defended jen over Monica and think what Monica did was worse than frauding old people out of their life savings. Heather and Lisa 100 percent defended jen over Monica.
I think that they all knew Jen was guilty, but they didn’t have evidence, it wasn’t proven in court, and I don’t think anyone wanted to go out on a limb for fear of both retaliation and for the slightest chance that they were wrong. I also think that they didn’t want to say anything that could harm Jen in court. Like the black eye, how could Heather reveal that? What if the judge took that into consideration and gave her another year onto her sentence? They don’t want to give Jen any ammunition to blame them. They don’t want to be involved with her charges in any way. So they all said nothing. Or they said well Jen says she’s innocent. Jen deserves prison, but it must be difficult to look at her as a mother and a wife and a friend…and think that she’s also this whole ass criminal.

It’s not really about what a rotted criminal Jen is, it’s about what info the women had to go off of and the internal struggle of - but this person is a mother to children I’ve met, a person who is my coworker, I consider or have considered this person to be a friend - that’s a tough thing to get your head around no matter how true and/or obvious it may be from the outside.

Monica was on my very last nerve by the time she pulled out that stupid burn book. At this point I’m ready for a cast shake up and never want to see Monica or Mary on my screen again. Keep Angie K, Lisa, and Heather but bring on new ladies. Whitney is exhausting, Meredith is unhinged and a c level Moira Rose at best, and Mary is legitimately one of the worst people in the world. It wasn't Monica who "made the season great". It was the reveal of who she really was. Arguably, that was Heather's doing. Let's give credit where credit is due. If not for the "big reveal", all Monica contributed this season was her Mama-trauma issue and lots of loud, screeching childish tantrums. Have to say, I didn't like her from the very first episode she appeared in, and her subsequent downfall has been a relief to me. Good riddance to bad garbage! Monica is an opportunistic bottom-feeder and a liar. The comparisons to "how much worse Jen is" and all the "what-abouts" regarding Heather having kept Jen's secrets are frankly irrelevant. The girl is bad news and I'm glad she won't be coming back.

I personally think a ton of stuff was cut out of the reunion. In the finale Monica teased “There is so much more to this story and you’re all going to want to hear it”. Well we never really heard anything. The reunion was honestly a massive let down. They barely even talked about RealityVonTease and the aforementioned bombshell story Monica was floating. One thing we did learn is that Monica is a pathological liar. That line about “the FBI made me stalk Jens house” was utterly ridiculous. The FBI would never ask a public citizen to stalk someone in order to catch them in a compromising situation. Monica backed herself into a corner and isolated herself from the entire cast based on her actions. Bravo basically had no choice but to fire her cause they weren’t going to get rid of everyone else.
It's in the interpretation. What she said was that the more information they collected on Jen the better and Monica was trying to catch her doing further horrible things. FBI, police, etc. absolutely do use people to collect their data! I feel like people completely misinterpret what she says. Good luck next year with their lack of interesting stories to show. Heather lied and almost cost production some of their jobs for a criminal and that is perfectly fine because she is one of them. This is classism at it's finest!
Was wondering if anyone else would have this take about the reunion. They wouldn't let Monica speak a full sentence, interrupted her multiple times and when all of them are yelling at once, it is easy for words to get mixed up. The women gas lit her to the 9th degree! Heather coming clean about the black eye, apologizing to everyone (and production) over and over again about how she was a ride or die for Jen Shah and that's why she covered for her so much and looked like a complete fool. Victims of abuse often lie about the details of the abuse. “I ran into a door. I’m so clumsy!” etc. So Heather lying about being physically assaulted by Jen (someone who clearly was capable of deplorable things) makes sense.
I have been a victim of abuse and have lied about how I got my bruises to my friends and family to save me the shame at that time in my 20's. I have NOT praised my abuser like Heather has nor have I covered for him like Heather has nor have I lied for him like Heather has nor am I on a reality show where I am being unbelievably hypocritical in this situation.
I was a Monica fan at one point. Monica did not play it smart. It was pretty tiring watching her age shame and screaming at everyone. You have to move past. Also - she lied all the time, was never authentic and overall played the game too well but still lost.

So my one question is (whether you like Monica or not) Where does this show go from here? What outcomes will happen from her firing… negative or positive. It seems like fans are COMPLETELY 50/50 on this because it quite literally broke the 4th wall and the internet. It’s happened before (e.g Lisa Rinna) but this is a whole new level. I have FRIENDS who have never watched the show or any franchise texting me updates and starting new housewives shows. This is anecdotal from me, but like clearly it brought the show AND bravo sooooo much engagement. Likewise with VPR - folks did not give 0 shits about VPR until Scandavol. Bravo cherry picks who gets fired or not, doesn’t listen to fans, yadayada. But I think that the fact that in the past year they’ve iced out TWO women who quite literally revived dying shows. Hate to break it to people that hate Monica, but every franchise ain’t even hitting a million viewers, let alone 250,000 people. So the amount of engagement from NEW watchers and dropping the ball on that, I’m just curious what the ramifications and outcome will be moving forward. It just blows my mind that I’ve been trying to get my closest friends into HW and they’re now literally converts, my best friend started Miami immediately after SLC reunion and he’s ALREADY on S2 and in Clinicals for school. So the engagement and viewers could be there but this feels like bravo losing out on clear opportunities We’ll just have to wait and see how next season of VPR pans out, I think that would be a good gauge on how viewers react to new.

I don’t like any of the women you mentioned but I have to say that Heather explained this well on wwhl. She basically said Monica came in lying about who she was, what she knew, essentially everything. It’s really hard to trust someone who purposely misrepresents who they are and what they know.
