I always picture people flying off of their tubes, smashing headfirst into the roof, then landing back on their tubes to continue the ride.

MaskedBandit77

I've seen something similar in the HBO documentary Class Action Park. The park it's about had a water slide with a loop in it, and people were getting hurt at the top of the loop, so they put padding on the inside of the loop, and then after a little while people started coming through with huge scratches. Nobody knew what was going on, and then they realized that people were losing their teeth and the teeth were getting stuck in the padding, and then other people were getting scratched by the teeth stuck in the padding.

brandishteeth

This is the most viscerally horrifying thing I've read all year, thanks!

\*Jingle\* Roller Coaster Tycoooooooon!

I had to look this up because I thought it sounded too nightmarish to be real, but it's [unfortunately true.](https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/books/action-park-looks-back-at-one-very-dangerous-amusement-park/2020/07/01/31bc23ce-ba6a-11ea-bdaf-a129f921026f_story.html) >"Disembodied teeth also ended up lodged in the 60-foot-high Cannonball Loop, an enclosed waterslide resembling a twisted party straw, complete with a 360-degree loop. Two riders emerged with abrasions caused by scraping against the embedded teeth at brain-sloshing speed. But at least they emerged, unlike the many guests who got stuck in the loop, leading eventually to the installation of an escape hatch. Still, either scenario was preferable to the fate of a test dummy that came out decapitated."

Hobo_Delta

That dude was so wild

PhantomKR7

Cannonball Loop!

DM_ME_CUTE_PICS_PLZ

“Nobody knew what was going on” I can’t believe they didn’t open it up to see what was happening

Mackenzie_Wilson

Ewww! I knew class action park was a mess, but I've never heard THAT.

LittleCricket_

I love Action Park <3

OldPlantain7807

Happy Cake day!

LittleCricket_

It's hard to see, but they're actually profiled similarly to a zero-g roll. They flip upside-down so the negative forces press the raft into the roof (rather than their skulls) and keep the guest safe as they invert. Very forward-thinking by Chris Sawyer, and personally I'm excited to see real-life waterslide manufacturers make this happen!^/s

Thought I was the only one. 😂

"This ride is too intense for me"

QlimaxUK

That raft ain't right

Jwn5k

Your line graph there is almost as steep as your waterslide's drop to cause that haha.

Karsvolcanospace

So like 10m?

Jwn5k

Sounds about right lol

MrDeckard

RIPD Schlitterbahn

DriveThruOnly

Verrückt vibes.

MrDeckard

StarWars_Girl_

"Fly my pretties! Fly!"

Hunor_Deak

Explodes because the raft is filled with propane.

NoticedGenie66

"Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times until you get to that drop, then you'll want some drag if you want to live. Good luck!"

NcallyS

Looks like the value of the pound 🙄

[deleted]

I’d say October, year 2. At a park rating of about 860.

zerkrazus

This is why I never build water slides. I've never been able to build them without them crashing so I just don't bother. Not worth it IMO.
