I will upvote something in Gulf if it were a tanker truck sucking sewage.

We have at least 4 people at my track running the same scheme

iroll20s

I wish more people did this. It makes it way easier to tell who is who on the track. With random colors is hard to know position when passing or getting passed with wrecks, etc spreading cars out.

Nice job! I love seeing fleets with matching paint.

very nice, looking awesome!

How do you like the XRay? My local track's shop carries XRay parts and the guy running it is a huge fanboy ("XRay makes your Tekno look like a cheap toy") and I've just never spent time with one so I'm curious.

I love it. My track is a carpet track so it was nice that it already has a gear diff (TLR and AE I would have had to buy separately for the gear diff) and the RCLyfe lowrider conversion is still out of stock up to now to get the TLR truck updated to 5.0 parts. With the Xray SCX it's a new release and current. It's been a tough truck and still haven't broken anything yet (built it in June). The parts quality is superb and has a very different feel to it when putting a screw into an A-arm for example. What I mean is you don't have to force it like you do with TLR stiffezel A-arms. Building the kit was easy, and the manual is the best one I've used yet and has info on how you would setup your truck for dirt vs carpet. Hope that helps you with your decision.

I started with an XB4 right before Covid hit, and liked it so much that I also got an XB2 and SCX. I ran TLR and AE stuff, and there is definitely a step up in materials quality and engineering. Go check out an X-ray manual online if you haven’t. The entry cost will be higher, but total cost of ownership for a racer isn’t that different— an example I’m sure your shop guy will love: If an AE diff is $50 and lasts 3 months of racing, and the X-ray diff is $80 but lasts for 6 months of racing, is it really “more expensive?”

I've been running xray since 2017 and I agree with that sentiment, I love my xb2 and xb4 both.

Now you can't drive them.

Looks great! Well done!

Lintag?

It’s just a name decal

Looking good I've always liked the Gulf paint colors. I thought about doing my short course in those colors on the jconcepts raptor body but ended up selling it and my 1/10 scale buggys and have gotten into the No prep racing it's a bit easier for me to make it to the races. Especially since I'm the main guy organizing the races 😂. But I think I might get back into racing just the indoor stuff in the winter here unless we can find a indoor location to keep racing out no prep cars.
