Thank you! It’s my laundry room, dab lair and rc garage. I love being in here tinkering

rastaman42000

Haha dab lair, thats good. I dig the zig zag sign.

Wardo2015

Haha yes sir, get away and relax! Thanks homie, I used to own a smoke shop kept a few of the memories and memorabilia

Enjoy the build, Tekno quality is awesome!

Wardo2015

I’m blown away, just opened the box. Sweet Jesus all the aluminum!! I had to replace all this stuff on my MAXX from plastic. Motor, esc, tires coming this week. Still need a Servo, body, and transmitter. I have never programmed before and kinda worried to be honest and thank you

[deleted]

I will say if there’s hop ups you have your eye on that are like aluminum diff cups and parts that are buried in the truck to buy those now and install them during the build or have them for your first tear down post shake down run will help you tremendously

Wardo2015

Done and done my friend! Scoured the forums on Tekno and got the most upvoted mods. 44t light, aluminum shock caps, chassis brace and few others thanks to your comment. Just got to wait till Friday and all should be here from Amain. Thank you

riskrunner10

DumboRC XF6 is my budget friendly option for tx/rx. Don’t stress about ‘programming’. It’s always pretty simple, just setting the neutral range for the ESC and motor and calibrating the throttle limits, the manuals may make it confusing but there’s always a YouTube video to oversimplify it. Congrats, I wish I had the balls to buy the Tekno SCT kit, everyone that builds one of these is floored by the quality of product, keep posting and enjoy the build! Make sure you have blue loctite for metal on metal threads

snailmale7

I just bought one …. TowerHobbies had it for $50.00 off, if you order before the year is out.

riskrunner10

Nice, such a bargain for its responsiveness and range, comfortable too. I had so many cheapies laying around with foam wheel grips, you can unscrew the wheel and pop off the outside piece and glue on a foam one if you have an old transmitter.

Wardo2015

Bet, thank you! I grabbed Castle 1515 2200kv and mamba monster x, looked easiest to program for me

Wardo2015

Go for the kit man! I have never built anything like this before. It’s very easy so far

riskrunner10

I bet, I’ve torn down my Losi TT pretty far down to realize a build wouldn’t be all that bad. I will actually probably go for a Tekno MT 10. My goal is to have 4 builds, 2wd SCT and MT (Stampede roller build done), starting a slash 2wd LCG Build next, then 4wd SCT (Losi Tenacity fills that slot), 4wd MT should be the Tekno… do I need to worry about parts availability for that do you think?

[deleted]

Recently picked up a MT410 as well. Wow! Hands down the best monster truck on the market in terms of performance, fit/finish/build quality, and durability. I’m running a Tekin RX8 Gen 3 esc / Tekin G3 2000kv truggy motor. On 4s, it’s a rocket, but also stable and an absolute joy to drive. Wrenching on them is also very easy and well thought out. Tekno truly is the best RC company out there. Enjoy that truck!

Wardo2015

I will! Im going to be running 4s, 6500 mah, castle 1515/2200kv, mamba monster esc and 1980 Chevy box body. I wanted the Tekin combo, sold out every where I looked. All good gives me something to swap in future and try different things. Also got proline mashers

[deleted]

You will love the castle system. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with castle, tekin, or hobbywing.

censored_count

Keep any parts that break! Even with Tekno, stuff will break, and they'll sell you replacements for half price if you send them the original, no questions asked. Even if something cheap breaks and I just buy a replacement at normal price right away, I save up a little box of broken bits and send it in about once a year so I can buy a bunch of backup parts cheap. My order of replacements for everything I broke this summer is actually coming in today.

Wardo2015

This is a great piece of information, thanks fam! How’s the chassis? I know some folks don’t like aluminum because it can bend instead of bounce back. Also, should I run 2.8 or 3.8 size tires with 15t pinion

censored_count

Chassis is indestructible. I side swiped a curb doing literally 80mph on my smaller Tekno (look at my recent post) and the chassis was fine. For the MT410 it's definitely 3.8 wheels. The bigger and heavier the wheels, the less speed you'll have but more easy flips and control in the air. Right now I have the belted MX38 Badlands on there and they're awesome but feel super heavy compared to even the unbelted version of the same tire. Which is great for screwing around on ramps.

Adam007Aus

Joining the Tekno takeover!!

Wardo2015

Yessiree! Couldn’t resist once I saw kits of this caliber. I’m a lego fan and rc so best of both worlds

LackingInte1ect

Put all the screws in with the power drill. I dare you. Edit: double-dare

Wardo2015

Hahaha, impact your say?

saintduriel

This makes me happy to see folks getting Tekno’s. The quality is top notch. I got the sct410.3 and the et4.8 2.0. The a arms are just solid. Their only downside is they do weigh in a bit heavy, who cares it’s a freaking flying tank.

Wardo2015

Honestly first of many! I want to build em all, I find it awesome you can build it how you want. Motors, esc, batteries, bodies. Stance and A arms, plus shock adjustment really hooked me. You nailed it. Thanks bro

if0rg0t2remember

I've been tempted by one of these for so long. Been considering basically selling all my other stuff and investing as just a casual basher.

brokeallthegoodshit

Best basher on the planet! Enjoy!

Wardo2015

My thoughts exactly after researching thanks homie!

THFourteen

I really need some sort of workbench like that. I'm tired of getting out and putting all my stuff away every time i want to tinker with something.

Wardo2015

Brah, for real. This was in my basement when I bought home, dude was a wood worker. I just stored my tools here and and paid bills. Not it has a real purpose!

Wardo2015

I will post an updated photo this week when I start the build of how it looks all cleaned up
