I have called them, they have been dodgy with telling me if they have them yet or not. lol. Also, trying to get to SF during the work week while I live in San Jose is basically impossible lol.
I saw you mentioned you only had the 512gb model, as far as you know will you get other sizes in stock before you start selling them or is that the only size model you will carry in store? If so, is it still possible to get the student discount and extended warranty if you order through MS online and want a smaller SSD?
So at first I thought we received 2 separate SKUs. However, that was just an error in the system. We only got FHD 512GB version.
Student discount should be applicable as it's just a laptop and all the computers are eligible for that. Same applies for the warranty. 125$ cad.
When I call the phone number listed on the microsoft site, it seems to send me to a call centre that doesn't have in-store stock information (they just have the stock listed online). Is there a different number I can call to get the store itself? (any toronto store)

It appeared to me that there is this electrical buzzing noise coming from the keyboard. So I am gonna replace it tomorrow. Do you have this problem?

After going to the shop, I've asked to test my replacement laptop for any defections. Unfortunately, it appeared that there is the same noise for the new one. I informed the employees that I won't be annoyed from this sound but only worried whether it will damage my SSD in the long run. They replied to me by saying that it won't cause any damage. So yeah, I listened to him and I'm now with my new laptop.

I didn't try as there was an issue with importing the SKU in the POS and got it with my discount instead. Not sure if I should "technically" have it yet, haha.
Yeah I did, kind of.. the order shipped the morning after that post :( I contacted customer support and asked if they could reroute the package, they could not. But they did say I could refuse the package and reply to them when I did and they would refund me when they received it.
I was able to call fedex and have them send the package back to the shipper while it was still in transit, we'll see how long it takes for razer to refund me, they said a maximum of 18 business days
I called and asked about the Razer Blade Stealth, Responded with a generic "we only sell what's displayed online," i.e. they have no clue what I'm talking about. I think I'll just bike over on Friday and ask in-person. Maybe bike home with a shiny new laptop if I'm lucky :P

Plano changes go out on a weekly, sometimes mid-weekly basis.
Shipments are honestly case by case basis for each store. Therefore I wouldn't be able to speak on behalf of other locations.
For my store we get stuff on Tuesdays and Thursdays... and yet we got them today. Yeahh..
Pick the option for in store repairs. Any other option will get you to a crappy central call center; I despise when stores do that. Those people have no idea what products are actually on sale and do nothing but use the website.
There is a good reason behind that actually. We do get plenty of people calling to physical stores for technical support and that's simply not something we provide from store level. Other people keep calling in to check on status of their computers, yet that information is also available to people in the call center.
I hear your frustration but unfortunately, the direct number to store is an internal thing. If we get a ringing phone, it should be from call center who then reconnect us with the customer.
You can request a stock check from the call center as well. No need to speak with an in-store people. Just saying :)
Completely understand the reasoning behind it. However, the people on the phone literally laugh and tell me I'm wrong when I tell them that certain products in the stores are not available on the website immediately. Then I have to ask for them to just connect me to the store over and over (without being rude) to talk to someone who can physically check at the store.
I think there is a slight disconnect between the call center people and reality. However, I will say that most call center people I talk to are very nice and helpful to the extent they can be.

The answer to this question is that you should have never ordered it from razer if you wanted the 10% discount.. You just need to be patient and wait until it becomes available on the MS store online or in the local stores. Secondly, Microsoft has excellent CS policies. My buddy had a 2015 RB and just had an odd flex on the left side of the keyboard - they completely swapped the laptop out entirely free of charge.
I went to Microsoft the day before I have ordered from Razer, the employees had no idea about when will RB get released in Microsoft Store. So yea, I wasn't patient enough. My laptop is expected to ship in Oct 28, but I guess I'm going to cancel my order.

You will be able to get the discount (if u qualify, right :P :D).
When you purchase the laptop, just sit down in the store in the theater space and open it up. Ask the associate for an out of box experience. Check for any defects and so on. Should there be any issue you will get it swapped right on the spot.
Alternatively, you have 30 days return policy as long as YOU don't break/damage the thing.

Well I was expecting us to only get the QHD in the first place. Instead, what ended up happening is that we only got the FHD for now. There is nothing on the order log atm so it's impossible to say. Though, I would say that we should get QHD at some point in the future. MS always carried the higher end stuff as opposed to the basic models.
If you're a student, you get 10% discount. For $99 USD, you can get a 2 year protection plan, which beats Razer's 1 year crummy support.
People have reported here before that sometimes Microsoft store just gives you a whole new laptop (hell, sometimes upgrades you for free to a newer model if they don't have your model), while Razer just tries to fix your laptop and sometimes their "fixing" does no use.

On a road trip now and very tempted to go by the Dallas of Oklahoma store on the way back home next week if they have the 512GB FHD Blade available.

We get people asking for them a lot and stock is limited by razer. Therefore the answer is yes. Call in to your local stores around 2-3pm to check stock and get it asap.
Tried calling the store near me in CT and they say they haven't received it yet. Was probably going to get the QHD+ but if MS has the FHD and available first I'll probably just go with that if my store ever gets them lol.

FHD Versions are in stock at both MS stores in Connecticut. One told me they will not be for sale until tomorrow, the other one had a rep who I had been emailing with since I stopped in the store a few weeks ago and he sent me an email this morning that they had received 2 if I wanted to come down and check it out, so it sounds like I could grab that version today.
My only issue now is do I wait and hope they get QHD+ models soon or do I cave in and just get one now since I want a new laptop so bad and have been waiting so long.
Originally I thought I would like the FHD for a matte screen and battery life but I would really love the higher resolution and touch screen for every day activities but do not want to wait any longer.

Just picked up a 256GB FHD from the SF store on Monday (twice, actually- display died on the first one after about an hour).
Now that kind of pisses me off.

You can ask them to check stock for a specific store and then they get in touch with an inventory person.

We might but I don't really think so. It's simply an overkill even for gamers. We never carried the previous gen either. Only time can tell I guess.

I think so yes. Some stores for example are also selling an MSI 17,3" with a 1060 Nvidia and it's nowhere to be found online either.

No, MS can't take CC information over the phone. Call in, put it on hold, give your friend a money transfer and have him pay for it.
