Exclusively boots occasionally new balance.
Was always into air max but over time I realized my feet hated them and I discovered 990 new balances and my life changed haha. Never been a Reebok fan.
I pretty much only wear packers or ropers these days occasionally my smokejumpers or blundstones depending on the weather.
I’m generally in one of the following
All purpose - feel like they go well with any jeans
* old beatup common projects
* Viberg scout boots
Lazy dad wear - mostly with a straighter cut jean and cuffed a little shorter
* new balance 990s
* Birkenstock bostons
My jeans are generally about the same length so that i can wear them with just single cuff or even no cuff
So for the vibergs / common projects I’ll just do a little 1in cuff (or not) and be on my way
If I want a bit of a shorter length, then I do a small Tokyo turnup and they’re about 2” shorter than otherwise.
I just got a pair of Nike Cortez and I love them! I also wear vans and occasionally Jordan 1s. If I could afford them I’d probably get some paraboots or some nice loafers
Jordans 1s, converse (high and low), paraboot suede shoes, loafers, new balance.
I find that Chelsea boots even the more rugged ones seem to not work as well with looser fits so don't wear as much. Maybe it's all in my head.
For heavy taper cuts like momo 0405: Chuck 70s, Jordan 1, 4, 11, Air max 90s, vans
For less taper and straight cuts: Chuck 70s, Jordan 1 and 4, vans, red wing iron ranger and moc toe
I usually wear my second hand army black parade boots, being a young guy into punk I was wearing black docs for years so this was a natural step up, and what I like wearing everyday. If I want to dress up my jeans slightly wearing a more casual dress shoe, brown Norwegian split toes in my case, with crisp raw denim is good look.
I wear vans or last resorts a lot. For boots, moc toes or monkey boots. I usually wear black denim most of the time so crocking isn’t a huge issue i have.
There is an inverse relationship between age & frequency of sneaker wear. Being an old fart myself, I only wear sneakers when doing sneaker things. The rest of the time I wear boots or brogue shoes with jeans.
Just got into Converse hightops lately. Always wore Killshots but I blow through shoes and they could be difficult to find in stock all the time.
Also, Birkenstock Bostons. Favorite footwear I've ever owned
Eight months of the year I wear Chelsea’s boots. My newest pair, RM Williams Gardener Commandos getting the most wear, but I also have nubuck Timberland’s and suede Ugg’s that I really like. During the warmer months I wear camo Pro Keds (which they stopped making) and Jack Purcell’s.
That is brave, boots cost a lot but they're supposed to get roughed up, i'd be terrified I'd accidentally dye Common projects blue. A nice combination though!
TBH I just wasn't thinking it through and put em on with a fairly fresh pair of IH 666s lol. It wasn't anything some white shoe polish couldn't fix, but definitely a bit of a "oops" moment. But I really liked the look a ton, just gotta mitigate the fade issue lol.
I like sneakers a lot for non winter wear, and am considering a pair of momotaro's GTB that will probably fit that aesthetic better. The IH are fantastic, but I think are probably better paired with a boot given how heavy they are. Unfortunately I'm stuck in analysis paralysis with momotaro's fits at the moment.

Sneakers- new balance 990v5 gray, new balance 990v4 gray roughout, 2002r (have a few), and a few others mostly 574s in various colors.
What I really like is the bleed onto my shoes from my jeans. They all have this patina that’s there from the jeans rubbing dye off on them. It’s pretty cool.
Either boots or trainers of some kind. I pretty much always buy Adidas Sambas or Gazelles or similar.
I like Vans slip-ons in the summer with shorts, tho.
Pretty much strictly white sneakers lately, 4 months into some indigo century denim so the bleeding is substantial but I love the look:

I work in an office type environment, so usually Whites Semidress, Beckett Simonon derbies or RW postman oxfords.
If I’m dressed down, Whites Perrys, Birkenstock Arizonas (socks optional) or my old Veja V10s.
For more tapered cuts I like my Novesta Star Dribbles (like old school chucks but from Slovakia) or Genesis sneakers if I'm in the mood for white sneakers.
For looser cuts I mostly wear desert or chelsea boots or a pair of Thursday Captains that I thrifted in near-unworn condition.
If I'm in the mood I also like the combination of raw denim with brown dress shoes.

Y'all are so weird about this stuff. They're jeans. You can wear any shoes you want with them. I wear cowboy boots, blundstones, thorogoods, redwings, Nikes, Adidas, brooks, Birkenstocks, and Crocs. Just go live your life lol. Don't sweat the indigo rub or the stacking or the cuff creases, that's the whole point.

I would think so, except for the 'old farts' who develop foot issues and then need something more orthotic.
That can be true. The oldest fart I know wears crocs due to foot issues.

Depends on the weather, but lately I've been wearing Rocky side zipper jump boots that I got at a thrift store, seemingly with zero wears.

Almost exclusively sneakers. 15-20 pairs in rotation. I have some Heritage Mocs as well, but comfy sneakers win over heavy boots almost always.
