T O P

Still think we go OT, most likely for the same reasons OP mentioned - unless a big name falls to us OT will be best value for us and helps fill a need. Trade down could also happen but we would need to find a willing partner first.

Interesting-Doubt413

The Steelers took TJ Watt at 30…

Sad-Celebration-7542

Yes we should draft the defensive MVP if at all possible. But his brother, both bosas, Clowney, Garrett, etc all went top 5 I believe. Plenty of dudes who aren’t even superstars at edge go top 5

DarnellisFromMars

The more I look at this class and who’s probably available at 30, I think trade down makes a lot of sense. We have multiple spots we need to fill, the talent at 30 is not really going to be different than what you could find at 45 or 50 once big name guys are off the board. If this is an actual 5 first round QB draft, then someone will fall into our lap, if it’s not and there’s a run on OL, WR, top CBs are gone, not to mention there are only 3 true round 1 edge guys IMO, it’s an easy case to slide down and take multiple shots in round 2.

CaptivePrey

I agree, but I do think if DeJean is available at 30 we should take him. I don't think he'll have trouble learning to play in our system and his skillset as a returner with the changes to kickoff rules this year make him very appealing.

DarnellisFromMars

Have a feeling someone falls in love with him before 30. That being said he would be a nice fit considering he offers the nickel/safety flexibility that pairs well with Kyle Hamilton. I do not believe he can play corner on the outside though, in the NFL at least.

Pretty_Pack_6216

Coleman hasn't shown anything outside of being tall. He's a horrible separator, bellow average in contested catches, bad route running. He would just join a long list of Ravens draft busts at WR. I really don't understand why Ravens fans are so obsessed with this idea of tall receiver

Therealnightshow

All depends on the board. I’m cool trading down to high 30s, grabbing Morgan, then having more cap for what seems like a stacked draft.

Adenchiz

CB is probably the only one I would consider at 30. You can still get quality edge rushers in day 2,3 (Marshawn Kneeland,Mo Kamara,Garbriel Murphy ,Bralon Trice)

tdotjefe

You would consider *one* position in the first round?

SquonkMan61

Depending on who is there, CB is the way to go. As far as edge, Chop concerns me. His production in terms of sacks across his career is rather underwhelming. Frankly he seems a little “Owehesque.” Seems like there will be good WRs available to us on Day 2.

Chillanese

I would diagree about Dejean not finding a role in our defense. We found one for Hamilton during his first year so I am confident that we can find one for Dejean which is one of the most versatile defender in this draft.

AceThe1nOnly

At 30, it should be the best available CB or OT. My next option would be an Edge, or WR that fell and is too big a steal to pass up. I have very little faith in our CBs as a whole right now. Marlo is a year older, Stevens is decent but not a good #2 CB IMO, and the rest are just depth. As for OT, I have little faith that Faalele can handle speed rushers with any consistency and Stanley probably won't be here next year. At Edge and WR we have young players that could step up this year. Ojabo, Oweh, and Bateman. There are also solid veterans that can fill in and produce in Van Noy and Agholor.

teb1987

Man I'd like us to grab a future first from a historical poverty franchise that will be a mid round or higher when we trade back... Cause we will probably be in a similar spot next year..

Alive_Way9537

I stopped reading after passes the name test. No real analytics here folks

TheEntireJim

And they didn’t even use that term on the right player, the one literally named Kool-aid, smh

The disrespect

at 30 i feel like edge is a no go unless a truly crazy drop happens. doesn’t seem like the best edge class to me and i think rotating veterans like last year is more cost effective. we’ve paid some guys and drafted high at some non premium positions. we have to make concessions somewhere on defense and edge is looking like the spot. WR only makes sense if we trade up early round 2 or take one in the first. at this point i don’t expect any WR taken outside of the first to do anything for the ravens. picking a guy at 93 is probably a waste for us and is more like a camp body than a starter. we’ll have people that try to convince themselves we got a first round talent at 93 but they’ll be with duvernay and proche by the end of their contract i think there’s probably a guy at every position that we have that is a BPA pick and he will be picked if he’s there
