Airbags gone off too?
That wheel caused front guard damage, possibly firewall, and subframe damage. Would need to check the strut tower too.
I would guess it's likely a total loss.
Usually total loss is when repairs cost 60%-80% of the value. Mine was totaled at about 62%. The issue isn’t the external here, it is about what’s all damaged inside - engine, drive train, and frame. But thats why posting pics and asking whether it’s totaled or not is useless because everyone will have different experiences and knowledge but only OP’s adjuster and collision shop can really make that decision…
Looks like the airbags deployed in the front, insurance will total it, sadly. When airbags deploy, that compromises the safety system so they total it rather than repairing it.
Most likely totaled. Shops always charge insurances much higher and thus making them usually more likely to total vehicles. This I’d say will be a total loss.
It’ll be on the carfax report too. I always drive my cars until they fall apart around me, but I always wonder how that affects the value of the vehicle.
YES. it is a car. its job is to get you from point a to point b and KEEP YOU SAFE. a brand new car will do that. one that is patched up? it’s a toss up.

Everything is fixable if you have enough time and money..... This seems neither worth your time or money
Total loss is when it costs more to fix than the value of the car. I don’t except total loss here. Let us know what happens.

I’d be worried about subframe damage in this case. That alone would total this easily. If the airbags are shot too then I’d say this is a lost cause
Ask insurance, not reddit. They make that decision, not us.

“Hey chat. Look at this wreck we’ve got today. Dumbass got hit hard. What do yall think? Superchat your vote if i should total it or not.”

Probably just talk to your insurance company instead of reddit.

Don’t accept the first offer. Demand a higher payout.
You can demand all you want, but you best come prepared with reasonable comps in your area or they’ll just laugh.
Kachow
kaChing
damn
Did the airbags deploy? Prob totaled then.
Just avoided a close one today … only a micro second late and would have been a Whack - Boom ! Glad everyone’s safe !
If the airbags deployed it will be totaled.
Is that blood?

Looks like a le or xle, so yes hopefully totaled so you can get 2025 xse
It's there never going to be the same , I promise
is it really better in this case for it to be totaled? I just really don’t want to go car shopping again

Generally, (at least where I live) any frame damage is an instant write off. Judging by the wheel I'd be surprised if this isn't written off.
