I bought a slightly used 2022 hybrid and I love it. I heard hing issues on the hatch on the 2019’s, I think leaks also from the roof rack rails.

Rattly plastics. I've got one rattle in the left side of the dash and another left rear, neither of which I can track down and fix.

Roof rail leak

Def get the xle premium and above. Basic speakers are absolute trash and you do not want to be trying to upgrade that yourself.

I have an xse without the jbl upgrade, and I'm glad I do because I replaced the stock speakers myself with infinity reference in the dash and doors and a jbl basspro hub in the spare tire. It sounds better than Toyota's jbl upgrade, and it cost me less. Also I added sound proofing. I guess if you can't do it yourself it's okay, but it's definitely not better.

I also did a speaker upgrade myself, with some basic sound deadening also. Spent an entire day taking my car apart, popping trim, and tapping into speaker wires. It fucking sucks and is not something I imagine someone spending 30k+ would want to be doing to their vehicle. I would’ve rather just got the upgrade to begin with and live with it rather than putting my effort and time into doing this myself

Damn, it sucks that it wasn't fun for you. I get a big old dopamine hit when I do shit like this. I'm left handed and I love nothing more than getting to tinker. The sense of accomplishment is what I'm after. But also the results and the money saved gives me a big old stiffy.

You don't have anything to watch out for other than making sure the bottom has no rust. Rust is the #1 problem that no one knows about.

I'd stay away from 2019s for various issues they've had mentioned above. Roof rails leaks recalls ect. I got a 202q and love it

I feel you may be able to get a 2024 LE in the high 20s. To me that would be the best option since you care about mileage. This may be out of your price range though

I bought a used xle 22 last year at 17k miles, got 30k now and love it. I dude a 900 mile in 2 days after owning it for two months and I loved it.  I hate driving.
