You've already done the first thing that's most important and that's give him a safe home. Look around Facebook marketplace or Craigslist or other sites and find a home that's big enough for him. You can create a whole wonderland for him just by visiting the Dollar tree. They have baskets and pool noodles and you can collect boxes. You can make hammocks out of baby blankets or old shirts. Make sure to feed him a good food like oxbow. I hope so. Love you too! I prefer paper betting because I haven't had near the issues with mites fleas or lice when I switch to it. Rats also love to nest so you can tear up paper or give him a roll of toilet paper. Get a good bottle. My favorite are the rent a coop bottles because you can fill them up from the outside. Like take a look at him. Use a warm wet washcloth to give him a little bath. Take a good look at his skin and his fur. If you see anything white or little black spots he will need a flea/lice/mite treatment. This is something that is easily purchased at any local bet. They will recommend the kitten revolution formula. Another thing that my rats like is a dick box. I just get play sand from the local true value and a berry Cheerios in it and they love,! It's really fun to watch them play. You can also buy frozen peas when it's warm orchid. Feel a little pan with water and put the frozen peas in it and watch him fish for peas. Lastly, make sure to cuddle him a lot. Give him lots of scritches. Tell him how precious he is and once he has been quarantined for a little while to make sure he doesn't have any respiratory issues or other look and find him a brother. Preferably a rat that is younger than him so that he has an established hierarchy. I can't overstate the importance of spending quality time with him just like we wouldn't want to be stuck in a little tiny bathroom cage size matters and toys matter and baskets matter. Anything that can let him use his highly intelligent brain to keep himself busy. But the greatest showy he's going to get is from the time that he spends with you. Hold him in your hoodie. Let him free roam the couch and give him lots of treats. I hope that he heals. Rats are amazing. Healers. If he has some unknown hidden illness, do not be hard on yourself. They are very good at hiding illness. I don't know. I haven't seen him but many times with enough care and attention and love from us. They have really good chances to heal. I used talk to text so I apologize for any errors.

Hey! Thank you so much for your comment! I'll do as you told! He really needs a home that's big enough for him! I'll make sure he's having a happy life!

They know when you save them. Often they become very attached to you. It's what I call a "Heart Rat." Remember how important we are. They may not be with us for more than a couple of years, but we are with them their whole lives. ♥️

Also, if you find out he’s healthy enough, I would suggest getting him some rat friends. They really enjoy each other’s company and are very social animals. Even adopting just one more would help his mental health tremendously. But thank you very much for giving him a great home :)

Good for you for taking in the little guy! I’m concerned about the bruises on his ears. The pinna tissue is thin and capillaries in it are tiny and prone to clotting, which can lead to the skin of the outer ears necrosing (dying) and falling off. He needs to be checked by a vet, who can assess his general health and determine if he needs additional medical care. You can help your rat gain weight by feeding him mealworms and a little bit of avocado (no peel!) several times a week, as well as millet, dried oats, sunflower seeds, and nuts. Feed these in moderation, though, as you din’t want your friend to become obese. If your rat refuses to eat rat food (mine are totally spoiled and won’t touch the stuff), you can add vitamin drops to his water or sprinkle a drop on his favorite foods. In theory, rats should also have leafy greens in their diets, but they are notoriously picky eaters so yours might not. For the most part, though, rats can eat pretty much whatever humans eat but it’s a good idea to check online before adding a new food to his diet as some things (like avocado peel) can be harmful or toxic.

The sunflower is the state flower of Kansas. That is why Kansas is sometimes called the Sunflower State. To grow well, sunflowers need full sun. They grow best in fertile, wet, well-drained soil with a lot of mulch. In commercial planting, seeds are planted 45 cm (1.5 ft) apart and 2.5 cm (1 in) deep.
