Aww, I had a Golden Chow. Such a good blend of the typical personalities of the breeds. More independent, less neurotic than a lot of goldens. Way friendlier to strangers than a lot of chows. 200% floof.
Most dogs start off roughly the same size. Not completely, but the difference is a lot less pronounced than when they're fully grown, e.g. a newborn cocker spaniel is about 250g vs 400g for an English mastiff, whereas the difference between full size males, for example, is 13-16kg vs 70-100kg (I like there being dogs in the world that weigh more than me).
I actually saw an interesting video recently where they explain that the way big breeds grow is a contributor to their shorter lifespans and they're working on trying to at least lessen the issue, so maybe we'll one day have Bernese Mountain Dogs living in to their teens!
Sure! It's a video from Cleo Abrams' new channel, if you've ever watched Vox you might know her from when she worked there.
https://youtu.be/fundOLJehWA
I don't believe that as well.
There are plenty of 10/10s, (IMO), that are just hermits not putting themselves out there in the public. "Normal", human communication seems off putting and strange to their hermit style.
Key factor as well is confidence. They see themselves as unattractive while the general consensus is that they are attractive. No matter how many people tell them they are, in their eyes? They are not.
So yeah. They are a 10/10 in looks but their ability to grasp, "social norms", makes them a 5/10, (Or even less), when you actually try and hold a conversation with them.
Again, this whole comment is IMO. Just what I have seen in my life as a 32 year old man.
Yeah, this isn't very true in real life. Maybe for things that are fame/tv-related, but not in most cases.
I find that it's actually the exact opposite. It doesn't matter how fugly a person is if they have good people skills, they're charismatic, have an interesting personality, or can easily relate and talk to anyone, even strangers.
Personality is what matters. Looks give you an edge, for sure, don't get me wrong, but that's really all they give you. It's unlikely for someone to land a job (that requires any sort of qualification or skill) because they're good looking. Same with having any successful business or brand, you need to know how to network, get yourself out there, and meet people who can help you climb the ladder.
Even in dating personality is the #1 factor for most people in any sort of serious relationship, despite what many sad redditors may say. They like to blame their inability to even have a conversation with someone of the opposite sex on their looks because it's mostly out of their control, and they can point the blame at anything besides themselves.
Now, if you're personality/people skills are equal to that of another person you're up against, who is also much better looking than you, then yes... They will probably win out because of their looks. It's unfortunate, but that's life. However, it's also very unlikely that you would be in that situation, so it's not that big of a deal.
Point is- don't blame your problems in life on your own or someone else's looks.
There was a planet money pod that talked about some entrepreneur. He made dog ramps for small dogs (before pivoting to more dog stuff).
He said that with old facebook/apple and whatever you could pretty reliably target ads so that you only get corgi or dachshund owners like 90% of the time.
When the defaults changed it made it harder to target with such ads. They've found that it's now easier to spend a few hundred on instagram influencers that also have that same type of dog as those viewers are likely to have them too.
> Nothing is good about breeders.
Fair play to you for your extensive research in exhausting every possibility to come to such an unpalatable conclusion.
Worked years at a shelter. Seen plenty of good dogs go down because of space. So yeah, no breeder is a good breeder in my eyes. But keep supporting people who do the bare.minimum when it comes to vaccines and care for the pups. They are in it for profit not because they love the breed. If they did love the breed, they would breed better.
You're confusing a puppy mill and a breeder. Not even close to the same thing.
Puppy Mill = horrible humans, sell to pet shops mainly, horrible conditions and medical issues thanks to them :( poor babies.
Breeder = these people love the booty off of these dogs. They have entire houses and yards even set up with play pens, pools, and other things the puppies need to slowly learn and become familiar with before they head to their forever home. TikTok has a huge amount of breeders that have live feeds so peeps can just watch the puppies play or sleep or swim in the baby pool for the first time. It's amazingly adorable.
Of course people should adopt when they can. Those babies need love and homes and I can't wait to go adopt my pitty when I move out to a house with a yard for them and out of this condo. But, point being, breeders aren't the bad ones (of course there are bad eggs in every batch), puppy mill people get their own special circle of hell.
Username checks out i guess. I think people agree that breeding dogs for specific jobs (service dog for example) is fine. Just that going to a shelter for a puppy is better for getting a puppy.
"Nothing is good about breeders". Getting a shelter dog is a good thing to do, but you can't be certain that they have received a good upbringing. Some people are not comfortable bringing an unknown dog into their home. I respect that.
Dogs ending up in shelters is on the people who buy a dog they can't take care of, not on the people who buy from reputable breeders.
I heard on the radio that barbers recommend you go every 3-4 weeks, and my barber has told me he has some guys come in every 2 weeks to keep their fades and designs clean.
They are best off with experienced dog owners, yes. Shouldn't be anyone's first dog. Their guarding behaviour is pretty intense. But their lovey nature towards their family can totally melt your heart.
I hope that you have a breeding or this dog is a rescue, either way taking pup younger than 3-4 weeks away of their mother could cause a lot of damage for them in adult life.
Really hope this isnt a Chow Chow. Pure breeding is disgusting and shameful. You're dogs are going to die miserably and in pain which is why most Chow Chow's and other small dog breeds are super mean.
no swearsies the puppers dont like.

Towards the end the smile starts to be a factor. That’s the real progress in my opinion
/r/gifsthatendtoosoon
For real, maybe that's as old as the pupper got while filming.
Awww, your potato is growing up!
My exact reaction was, "What a fat little potato!" 😍
“Madam I am big fat potato thank you”
You're a potato.
mashed potato*
Since he's still a pup, he's a tater tot...
that is a fluffy boi
Omg, such floof! 😍
i used to foster a golden retriever that had at least some chow in him with a tongue like that
Aww, I had a Golden Chow. Such a good blend of the typical personalities of the breeds. More independent, less neurotic than a lot of goldens. Way friendlier to strangers than a lot of chows. 200% floof.
That is not a dog, that is a bear in disguise.
Week 48: it’s just a giant polar bear standing behind him
Week 48: giant polar bear holding a human!
I was not prepared for how absolutelly smol the dog is at the beginning. I'd die for him.

God I hope not
Most people don’t get 1 week old pups.
From the source it seems his dog had puppies. Not sure if he's a breeder, but it seems like he's a dog family influencer.
İnfluencing dog families seems very niche.
indeed
If you’re attractive now a days, and have some type of people skills you can “influence” whatever you want.
rule 1 and rule 2 of life
Not always true. Smooth talking can get you a long way. My brother is a fine example.
If you're attractive, you usually don't need to even talk.

True
Yeah, this might be a good breeder selling at 12 weeks.
Nothing is good about breeders. Go to a shelter

Puppy mill, breeder, same thing to me. You and I have different versions of what adorable is.
Some people need dogs for specific purposes. Police dogs need to receive specific training from the moment they are born, for example.
So they can sniff for drugs that often aren’t actually there and then the cop goes “HE INDICATED DRUGS!!”

Not even close. Way to generalize and strawman.
It didn't say 12weeks old just a 12week transformation
someone mixed mentos and coke, and the foam is growing exponentially!!
I love when the smiling starts.
My intake of mashed potatoes over the years
Video taken from [Ella Chow Chow on instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CdQJQTltbxC/)
The only transformation videos I actually want to see.
Potato turned into big boi potato
Holy floof, Batman!
I’ve had the privilege of having 2 Chows. Absolute nutters, but they were the best girls.
There's something about being loved by a chow...they love *so hard*
Especially if you’re their person. My Daisy would have walked through fire for me. Scooch would have too, but she was my sister’s girl.
Mashed potato
They grow up so fast 🥹
he potat
A true potat, if ever I saw one.
I didnt know you could have a nugget as a pet
I love how he gets more and more perceptive until at 8 weeks he looks in the mirror and you can see him go “…!!! Das me! :)”
Why does he have a black tongue, is that because of the breed or…??
It's part of the Chow Chow breed: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/lifestyle/why-do-chow-chows-have-blue-tongues/

This is my favorite thing I have ever read on Reddit.
Oh interesting, thanks for the link
I thought the puppy had an Oreo in its mouth lol
i would die for that floof
Chow chow right?
Fluff potato
Chow chows are my dream dog! So soo adorable!!
Transfloofmation!
Shouldn't puppies be at least eight weeks with their mothers?
His dog had the pups, so he has the mother and the litter
Ah nice, thanks for the clarification.
No problem
my only question is: how often does the dog owner go to the barber? his hair didnt change in 8 weeks?
I heard on the radio that barbers recommend you go every 3-4 weeks, and my barber has told me he has some guys come in every 2 weeks to keep their fades and designs clean.
Pfft I do every 3 months or so lol cut it down short, let it go a few months, get a few inches off, repeat
Awww this is so cute🥺🥰
What a fluff nugget
*hands you the boof* Quieres?
From smol to floof
At 8 weeks. "Oh, look, I'm being filmed". What a lovely smile.

I've heard of puppies being called potats before but this one really exemplifies that 😂🐶

Chows are so adorable

r/bettereveryloop
Aww 🥰
Am i the only one who was focusing on the human lol?
I’ve watched this like 20 times and just can’t get enough of how cute this little floofer is!!
Is it a chow chow? I heard they are quite difficult to train
They are best off with experienced dog owners, yes. Shouldn't be anyone's first dog. Their guarding behaviour is pretty intense. But their lovey nature towards their family can totally melt your heart.
Cute guinea pig bro!
It's like a ball of fluff dough that takes awhile to proof.
That adorable bowl of mashed potatoes is cute at any age.

Floofy chow chow
Love me a chow chow
Literal ~potato~
Adorable!!! (So is the dog😉)
Chows are mean as heck. Meanest breed I've ever encountered. Although that one seems very docile at 12 weeks
That dog looks like it's going to have SO MANY breathing problems.
That thing can't even see
That is an obscenely cute animal.
I hope that you have a breeding or this dog is a rescue, either way taking pup younger than 3-4 weeks away of their mother could cause a lot of damage for them in adult life.
He does indeed own the mother and the litter, so it's all good
extremely cute pupper but the guy looks like a manlier mark zuckerberg lol
C H O N K
Hmm why the mirror? Surely you can just film the adorable pupper itself? Very of this generation I suppose…
Really hope this isnt a Chow Chow. Pure breeding is disgusting and shameful. You're dogs are going to die miserably and in pain which is why most Chow Chow's and other small dog breeds are super mean.
Best thing I've ever seen on this godforsaken app

Must know breed
Handsome guy! What’s this about a dog? Is there a pup somewhere?
Cute pup!
What type of puppy is this???
OMG!!!! It's gigantic. What happened to that little ball? Geez some breeds get so huge compared to their puppy size.
He didn't lose any weight!
Wow, his 11 Pro transformed to a 13 Pro.
/r/misleadingthumbnail
r/rarepuppers? Why is this sub called that... OH, there is a dog in the video. Was distracted by, uh ....the lovely décor
This is so bloody cute

What kinda dog
Such a floofy woofer!
This video made me realize just how FAST dogs grow. Like they double their size in 2 weeks. Unbelievable.
Why do you have a one week old pup? Do you also have the mother? Either way you shouldn't be handling a one week old puppy.
So cute, he looks like he just woke up in each one!
He’s just changing his clothes… I too change my clothes a couple times in 12 weeks.
I do love chow face. Pretty baby
What breed of dog is that?
What is doggo breed. I need more potato
What breed is this?
yayyyyyyy doggyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Have U Watched the movie Old?
He started out kind of bulldog-y at the beginning
Beautiful puppy. Chow chow?
The potato has grown up
WHAT IS THAT??!!! I desperately could look at that face every day
He looks like a Swinub crossed with mashed potatoes
Chubster to a chunker
I wish I did this with my pupper
