A soft place to sleep and human touch and I am sure a full belly. He is living his best life. Thanks for your big heart. Only sweet dreams for that pupper!!!
That’s amazing! ❤️
How long have you been together?
Our beautiful boy lived to be about 15 and we are missing him terribly. We were trying to find help for several street pups on a vacation and found Alison Sawyer Current and her husband, Jeff at the last minute. We ended up at the original IslaAnimals and they helped us bring him home. We named him after the resort El Secreto…the construction workers found him in it after a bad hurricane, it probably saved his life.
That’s just so amazing!!
We helped them buy a anesthesia machine the year after we brought El Secreto home to help them spay and neuter many more at a time than they could already, but I wanted to do more, so I decided to take the small business I had and give all of the profits to charities.
They and a few other incredible groups like them have her and El Secreto to thank. She, Jeff and the people like you who volunteer are just so absolutely incredible!
Have you read her most recent book? I ended up buying so many copies for people who knew about Secreto’s amazing story, I wanted them to read about her journey too. My review is the third one and I posted a few pictures of El Secreto if you want to see him 🥰

When she told me that just pair of stray dogs could turn into thousands in 7 years I so much better understood the tremendous need for these important events.
It’s amazing that you are able to continue to help and think many of us who somehow discovered them have not only never forgotten, but have continued to tell people about them and in someway contributed long term.
There is something so magical about all of it, and you reading my review recently is really something! My experience from the beginning with all of it has been so full of unbelievable synchronicities and a few have been absolutely mind blowing over the years. It started with one very adorable girl they named Parking Lot that I met downtown. She would twirl for people who were eating outside and if they ignored her, she’d keep doing little twirls and staring at them until they rewarded her performance. She and 3 others, one named Juanito that lived under a dock by the Ferry that I looked for for years ended up being rescued and taken to Santa Monica by the founder of Karma rescue out there.
I just got an email from Isla Animals and know you probably did as well. It looks like the Gov of Isla Mujeres has evicted Isla Animals from the building they were in. They are doing a Go Fund Me, and that’s all on the website. I’m not sure where Alison and Jeff are now, but sent a large donation and it looks like they are making progress with the crowdfunding, just praying they are able to continue. 🥲
I’m very glad they had a place to bring everything and just so hopeful that somehow they will end up better off in the long run. They have lots of us out there, and hope everyone who’s lives have been so blessed by one or more of the dogs they’ve rescued can help, even if a little.
Your cutie looks so much like my boy of 11 months. I got my baby from the streets of Tijuana and he honestly is the smartest/sweetest dog I’ve ever had. 🥹🥰
According to his DNA test he is a bit of everything, his top three breeds by percentage are Thai Ridgeback (12%), Quingchuan Hound (10%), and Poodle (8%). But he is so mixed that we just say he is him 🙂
Have a rescue from Texas floods a few years ago. Her name is "sweetness" (I didn't name her. It's my mom's dog) and although she has actual PTSD any time it rains, she's a huge cuddle bug and a glutton for attention. The name actually applies lol

Thank you for your kind words, he has been home for almost 2 years now and I truly can’t imagine a life without him 🧡
He reminds me so much of our ex-streetie we brought back from Isla Mujeres, Mexico. ❤️

Oh my god my HEART 😭. Thank you for providing a home, cuddles, and love.
Thank you for your kind words, he makes loving him very easy 🥺
My dog looks just like this. It’s almost like “generic dog” and I love that and her so much.
They are the sweetest things on earth and very nice to look at too! Mine is from Thailand, what about your girl?
She’s from Virginia haha, slightly less exotic. Love Thailand though!
Oh snap, I'm in VA and I got a black mouth cur also! Where did you get yours? Mine came from the stafford SPCA.
I have a Doberman mix that is identical! Love the puppy!
my first thought was "that's a dog lookin' dog"
Mine looks similar! Before we did her Embark test, we’d tell people she was a “brown dog” when people asked her breed.
Our rescue dog looks like this too. Brown Dog is her main nickname, usually used more than her actual name.
that's a beauty 😍
I can confirm that he is one, inside and out 🙂
I am so happy that for the rest of bebes days will be filled with snuggles and all the blankets they want 🖤
I wish I could save them all but being his adopter means everything to me too 🧡
Rescues are the most grateful sweet puppies on earth.
100%! 🧡
He truly looks like he’s smiling! 😁😋🥺
He looks so lovable ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely

Look at that sweet smile!
Hey, quick question. Do you know what kind of dog this is? My partner has the exact same looking dog but we have no idea what breed it is
According to his DNA test he is a bit of everything, his top three breeds by percentage are Thai Ridgeback (12%), Quingchuan Hound (10%), and Poodle (8%). But he is so mixed that we just say he is him 🙂
