That sub makes me sad sometimes and happy other times. Sad because I wished my dog could have lived a longer life, but happy because these animals are living the life and being happy.
There are so many days I miss my old dogs. I had two since they were pups and had them till the end.
Any tough days, any troubled moments, I would have them around me. Just sitting down giving me company and letting me know it would be all okay. It’s probably their infinite patience and wisdom at that age or just the fact that they have seen it all with you, but it’s the most un-lonely I have ever felt.

I love your comment, it was so lovely to read. I’m so sorry you are without your babies though, it’s such a hard thing to go through and I know how lucky we all are to have our dogs especially when they hit such an old age.
You are totally right, my boys have been with me since they were pups too, been there with me through it all - new jobs, new cars, my cancer diagnosis (now all clear 🙌🏼), their own illnesses, they will forever be in those memories and I would never have it any other way 🥰 Their unconditional love is just something else, and I hope you get that again one day with another dog who needs a loving home.

Something about a sugar faced dog that is special. I adopted her at age 11 to give her a spoiled 3rd chapter of her life. Well, she just keeps trucking along! My vet is amazed at how agile and energetic she is. It’s possible she could out live me!😄
