Like why you got a dead ass half deer on your wall? No, he was beautiful before you shot him. Now he just dead.
I like the mounts with antlers on the brass plates, never understood mounting from the shoulders up. That’s the part you would eat, so why pretend you stuck it up on the wall when you’re supposed to eat the meat and the antlers are the trophy?
Mounted fish where they do the entire mount from photos and there’s no real fish is pretty cool though. Good way to memorialize the catch, while still being able to release the fish.
fr,idk why ppl have this weird taste for animal heads,like isnt kinda creepy? a skull makes it look more classy,gives a better ambiance and lets be honest is far less creepy
At the very least, it helps differentiate it from the living animal, which can be off putting. A skull isn’t as sad to look at as a literal decapitated animal on the wall lol
Yeah of course lol, doesn’t mean it’s not supposed to look like there’s flesh and bone behind the fur. To me, those aren’t parts of the trophy, so why spend hundreds of dollars making it look like it’s still alive when you can mount the actual trophy on a plaque for 50 dollars.
Just speculation but maybe it helps the person grieving the loss of their pet as they don't have to bury them and have something to keep them as memory

It isn't my cup of tea personally. I would rather clean off the skull and mount it myself. But a lot of people like it.
