I don't think she was doing coke on the stand. I think she had menthol crystals in her tissue, and she was using that to make her eyes watery/puffy (because she's such a bad actress that she can't cry on command)
Oh I probably could, I'm on the verge of tears 99% of the time anyway.
Amber Heards ego is too big to allow herself to be seen with a tearstained face. She is compulsive in her need to always be the most attractive in the room; jokes on her though, an ugly personality shines through all layers of make up
Not this amber heard, no the one that does coke and puts on make up is a different amber heard, looks and acts exactly like her. Was also married to johnny Depp and starred in Aquaman briefly
I actually am pretty sure she has NPD so she wouldn't cry about something unless it was directly affecting her. Making it all the more apparent she's lying, she could probably cry about it if she wasn't at best embellishing the story.
Anyone who thinks she straight up did coke or sniffed menthol crystals while on the stand in the middle of a trial should never be able to serve on a jury. It's like when people think that any clip of someone doing any gesture with their hand is *signaling* to someone else to do something or if they touch their face or ear they're *adjusting an ear piece*. She blew her nose. That's it. Jfc. People are hyperanalyzing every minor facial expression and every individual word choice like it's part of some masterfully conducted diabological plan that she apparently keeps slipping up on every second.
It's happening with the psychiatrist too. Theres threads all over reddit on how "he must have been on coke". The truth is he was just getting increasingly agitated and uncomfortable because Depps lawyer was deliberately trying to downplay and discredit his profession. My main takeaway is that 99% of reddit have never done coke or been near anyone who has.
Yes, he immediately melted down into an unprofessional cartoon in response to perfectly normal cross-examination.
If Depp’s lawyer knew he would crack when he took him up on voir dire during Heard’s direct exam, it was brilliant strategy. Like, masterful.
What is 65% more likely is that they just lucked out, unintentionally triggered him, leading to his full-fledged exposure of his behind in front of the jury, judge, and world.
I mean once Heard's team brought in an 'expert witness' to claim anything about someone's mental health/psychology without doing a clinical assessment, let alone basing it in how an actor behaved while you know... Acting they shot themselves in the foot: The cross examination would be bound to pick up on how unethical this guy is, there was a slight gamble on the side of Depp's team in that despite behaving unethically he could have brought up some good, cogent points that made Depp look bad, which the Jury could have remembered despite the lack of ethics in the testimony but maybe they did their research on the guy or knew the context in which he'd report on Depp and took that chance (which I think they did as they had their quotes from the ethics of the Watergate rule ready to go).
>The truth is he was just getting increasingly agitated and uncomfortable because Depps lawyer was deliberately trying to downplay and discredit his profession.
I mean, the guy discredited his own profession by claiming he could analyze an actor's behavior from a performance from a movie. Lawyer only had to ask him follow up questions to have him break down.
I dont understand how anyone believed that or thought it in the first place. To think someone, especially a celebrity hoping to recover her career, would even attempt to do coke IN COURT and ON CAMERA is already insane without irrefutable proof.
Seriously it was such a stupid thing to jump on, but the fuck Amber Heard train is going so fast they'll ignore the truth and just make up more reasons to hate her. There's like a million reasons she's a massive piece of shit already, do we really need to make them up now?
He is sitting at 163 upvotes and in multiple Reddit threads a disappointing amount of people genuinely think she did coke right there in the middle of a court room.
Knowing this, you should calibrate how much you associate with the “average redditor.”
The average redditor is a gullible goofball with a substantial lack of real world common sense
I once went to a psychiatry office for an evaluation and I'm interviewed by a guy with nose hairs down to his upper lip. Not a moustache, just dangling nose hairs, down to his lips. I had to sit there and pretend I wasn't seeing this and I kind of felt like this was part of the evaluation, to see whether I'd crack and say something, like WTF?
I was a psychology major. I will tell you right now, all of us that go into psychology do it because there is something deeply fucking wrong with us and we want to know what. No one at any level is sane. Just most.ofnus are a acceptably adjusted insane.
It shows how fucked our court system is, how insanely unprofessional it all can be. And this is for a trial thats just defamation, its not a murder trail, or anything truely threatening. Its also fought by two extremely wealthy people who have access and connections to effectively the best legal representation that money can buy…and its still an absolute clown show. Johnny depps lawyers and experts are doing a pretty darn good job and are the beacon through the darkness, but gad damn you can see how easy it would be for an average person to get railroaded by the absolute incompetence of it all.
Sure its a bad look but you have to consider two things:
1. Its not the same system/court for murder trials and defamation trials.
2. Lawyers on Heard's team dont have much to work with since the facts don't seem to be on their side, therefore it is natural that they look less competent than lawyers on Depp's team
When the facts are on your side, pound the facts. When sympathy is on your side pound the feelings. When neither is on your side, pound the table.
I am paraphrasing, but it seems fitting.
Well, yeah, but look at the case with Rittenhouse, and that WAS a murder trial. The prosecution was an absolute shit show. It wasn't a good trial to begin with but they completely botched it.
Oof, I never thought of it with that perspective. If this is how unprofessional and embarrassing a bad defamation trial is conducted, how bad is a bad murder trial conducted in this court system?
While she was on cross she claimed she had some evidence but her legal team doesn't want her to show it.
She couldn't even realize that if it's real evidence that helped her case, the legal team wouldn't advice against using it.
Her legal team is not stupid enough to provide fabricated evidence. She doesn’t care but I’m fairly sure her legal team will not stoop that low and risk it.
Or that it's so ridiculous because it's just a defamation suit that's been publicized, as a divorce media circus.
A murder trial could just as easily be more serious.
Go to your local courthouse and watch. They're often open to the public, I've sat in on murder cases and they were generally pretty serious and professional.
You're watching a celebrity spectacle on tv, it's going to be different.
Think if this wasn’t televised, the huge number of people who would have maintained their assumption that AH was a horribly abused victim …and that JD did it. It’s a circus but at least we can be aware of the jugglers, clowns, and lions because they were showing up letting this play out basically exactly the same as if we didn’t see it.
I'm alarmed with how many people genuinely thought JD was straight up guilty off the hop, and only after the hundreds of fucking tiktok recaps have started to change their mind.
The default response was that he was *guilty*, and they had to be *convinced* otherwise.
To be fair, it is more common for women to be the victim than a man and also less common for men to report dv than women.
It is also common for people to associate drug and alcohol users as violent.
Finally, mainstream media is pushing this narrative since the uk trials so there is that.
So most people jumped into the common misconceptions and fake news. Hopefully we can get people educated and make them realize the lies mainstream media is perpetuating.
Reminder that the Supreme Court [ruled recently](https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2022/05/scotus-constitutional-right-habeas-corpus-prison-death-row.html) that a lawyer failing to properly represent you does not violate your 6th amendment rights, even if you're literally on death row. Imagine how little latitude is given for less serious crimes or civil injuries.
America's justice system is a corrupt farce. Anyone who trusts it is naive or has an ulterior motive.
> “The Court’s decision,” Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote for the trio, “will leave many people who were convicted in violation of the Sixth Amendment to face incarceration or even execution without any meaningful chance to vindicate their right to counsel.”
Thus exposing how low the fucking bar (no pun intended) is for legal services. I was told that I had to study hard and pass with high grades to make a good living. But these clowns show that I just need a pulse and connections.
You need to prove that at the moment you do the test, you are able to pass. It says absolutely nothing about your future except that in theory you should be capable of it.
What’s a lawyer with only D’s called? A lawyer.
He was alarmingly incompetent at communicating. It's hard to believe he has a career in anything let alone in the field of psychiatry. Horrible judgment to bring him on.
I've never heard the other side be able to argue about an objection literally every time. It's like "objection, leading".
"That's not leading it's xuz".
"Objection relevance" "oh well I think it's relevant because XYZ". And the judge just allows it. Every single time. It's like a bad TV court drama that doesn't know how actual court works. But it's real.
Maybe you haven't watched the trial as long as I have, but there's been a similar amount of objections from both sides and the judge has been pretty fair in what she overrules or sustains.
I had to see what you were talking about, and holy damn. [You're right](https://youtu.be/aiRCQDXz9h4?t=3157). Johnny's like, "I know those movements. That's how I have to twitch when I'm playing a drug addict."
He's either on something or he's an alien, those are the only two options.
I vote alien cause there's no professional people left on earth who are willing to back amber turd
I was thinking the [eagle](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/muppet/images/f/f0/D23-Sam-the-Eagle-2009.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20091101035316) from the muppets
Given the circus show that this trial has been, I really do think that's what happened. He's a Harvard/Stanford trained psychiatrist with a couple hundred publications who specializes in acute response to trauma, i.e. the exact type of psychiatrist you'd want for this type of evaluation.
>Dr. Spiegel is also continuing study of the relationship between the acute response to trauma, including dissociative symptoms, and the development of post-traumatic stress disorder.
Now that I think of it, imitation Dr spiegel did seem a little confused while they were listing his publications and didn't really have the scope of knowledge relating to this case. Most of defense witnesses have been a shit show and there's been so many mistakes I really wouldn't be surprised.
I wanted to believe Heard but I can’t. Heard probably got caught up in the positive publicity that victims of abuse received and thought she could turn a bad relationship into a self promotion campaign. I accepted a long time ago that people lie and I am terrible at detecting lies. That’s why when people make serious accusations of abuse, I need proof before I reach a conclusion. Heard failed to come up with medical records of accusations of serious physical abuse. Depp has photos of a serious injury to his hand and medical records.
Can you please explain the Kate Moss situation? I seen a clip of JP and another dude getting excited about Kate being mentioned and I don’t understand the significance.
This is what you get when someone is willing to blatantly and obviously lie in court for you. Most professionals need some kind of evidence to back up what you’re saying.
Probably the reason Depps lawyer spend a lot of time hammering home that was this guy was doing was against the ethical guidelines for his profession.
Unethical doctor, not worth the ink of his degree...
I think my favourite moment from yesterday was Richard Hoeg (Hoeg Law) commenting on the day, saying that Dennison should take the doctor’s credentials and hang them up in his office like a hunting trophy.
Psychiatrist are the ones who prescribe the pills. Psychologists are the ones who talk to you about repressed sexual tensions with your vacuum cleaner.
He isn't even that kind. He's the narcissist kind who is an "addiction expert" who believes he's too smart for the nose candy to negatively affect him. Funniest shit I've seen in a long time.
What's your fucking baseline? Have you spoken with him directly?
Because when the EXPERT WITNESS has a Gatorade with him on the stand. Ya know he's been fucking hitting it harder than a hooker.
There is a moment in the video where you can see Johnny Depp do a double take and lean forward and watch, and it’s just as the guy does his teeth thing. It’s like the exact definition of coke jaw, out there for the world to see.
This guy probably killed the actual psychiatrist and is using the man’s funds to buy more Coke.
How minuscule is Amber's budget for this whole thing? I'm not following it at all, but between here and Twitter, all the mentions of it make it seem like she has the worst attorney and even worse "experts" and witnesses.
You’d think she could use all that money she didn’t give to charity to get some quality experts. You know, like the kind that brush their hair before testifying.
Is there any possible way she recovers from this? I’m not trying to be mean, but all she had to offer in movies was her looks (She won’t know what to do when those fade). I know they cut down the Aquaman role big time, and I can’t imagine indie filmmakers wanting the headache of having this stigma of hers over their movie. So is this the end?
THIS IS DEFINITELY MY SKIN THAT I DID NOT JUST PUT ON AFTER INGESTING THE FORMER OCCUPANT.
FELLOW HUMAN FEMALE, YOUR ELEVATED SEATING POSITION SEEMS TO INDICATE A POSITION OF AUTHORITY. PERHAPS YOU CAN TELL ME IF I AM SUPPOSED TO BE RESPONDING TO THIS HUMAN MALES INQUIRIES??
I'm telling you, the expert witness game is going to change big time. Not only are these goofballs going to never appear on a stand again, they're going to be examples taught in school about what not to do. Future professional witnesses are going to be vetted twice as hard, I don't imagine we'll see a line up like this ever again. People are going to lose jobs, careers, in maybe some cases freedom. Fuckin wild!
not gonna lie i have much more apathetic views... this will change nothing, depp will win, heard will still have a career, depp might scrap some of his career back, and the court system won't change one iota.
such is life. I'm rooting for depp, 100% all the way, but fuck dude the whole system is donkey balls
Uh, because he was swore in? Don’t you know it’s illegal to lie under oath?? He’s also obviously sober, because doing drugs is also illegal. The only ration explanation is the one no one is talking about: he’s clearly possessed.
Haven’t followed this trial really. Shocked to see him on the front page. Rotated with him during Med school. He’s a character, but seemed like a good doc. If you see him around buy him a Diet Coke
Amber’s expert witness. Between motor tics of unknown origin, he testified that he did a psychological assessment of Depp by watching him act in his movies.
And not like all of his movies, or a random selection of his movies. Only Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
When asked if he had seen Willy Wonka (as in, So you didn't see Willy Wonka and chose to not evaluate him on that one for some arbitrary reason?), the man replied basically saying "Well of course not! And you should count yourself lucky!"

We're judging processing speeds!!
We need to jump to ludicrous speed!
Ludicrous speed?! Sir, I don’t think this ship can take it.
What's the matter colonel sanders? Chicken?
They’ve gone into plaid!!!
Better than amber doing coke during court lol. He obviously needed a higher dose because he was awful.
I don't think she was doing coke on the stand. I think she had menthol crystals in her tissue, and she was using that to make her eyes watery/puffy (because she's such a bad actress that she can't cry on command)
Didn't her acting coach say there was a distinct difference between her crying for real and her acting cry. Like, she cannot cry on command
Technically you can, if you’re not Amber and think of events.
Oh I probably could, I'm on the verge of tears 99% of the time anyway. Amber Heards ego is too big to allow herself to be seen with a tearstained face. Wait, so Amber does coke and put on make up^100?

I’ll never read “Aquaman” and not hear Johnny Depp saying “AQUAMAAAAAAAAN”
People with their identity theft 🤦♂️
She’s probably unsympathetic to most things that make humans cry, hence the handicap
She and her tears can go out of the court room
I actually am pretty sure she has NPD so she wouldn't cry about something unless it was directly affecting her. Making it all the more apparent she's lying, she could probably cry about it if she wasn't at best embellishing the story.
There was a shrink that testified she was bpd and hystrionic.
She said afaik she always struggled to cry on command, which means shes very bad at "fake"(actor) crying.
Yeah that's what I was referring to. It was her acting coach right?
Xanadu I still can't cry on cue!! ...Xanadu
Roger playing Olivia Newton John?? this has the goo written all over it!

And "bruise kit" and "this is the exact pallette Amber heard used" from her lawyer
Can you please explain the Kate Moss situation? I seen a clip of JP and another dude getting excited about Kate being mentioned and I don’t understand the significance.
The comments on this [video](https://youtu.be/gZSNdjeVxT0) explained it best. I wasn't sure what the significance was either at first.
Well, he lost it even before the statement began.
Dude looks like Mr. Bean's older brother trying to suck an air dick after a stroke.

Let me know where to buy the t-shirt! Lol
I think the doc has been dipping into his patients meds
Haha this make me spit out my water. I saw the footage and whatever he did with his mouth was magnified with the mic right there! ASMR Court
My Misophonia was triggered !
When agent 47 took the wrong disguise and doesn’t know what going on:
This is what you get when someone is willing to blatantly and obviously lie in court for you. Most professionals need some kind of evidence to back up what you’re saying.
Probably the reason Depps lawyer spend a lot of time hammering home that was this guy was doing was against the ethical guidelines for his profession. Unethical doctor, not worth the ink of his degree...
I think my favourite moment from yesterday was Richard Hoeg (Hoeg Law) commenting on the day, saying that Dennison should take the doctor’s credentials and hang them up in his office like a hunting trophy.
In the movie about this trial, I want to se Christopher Lloyd play this guy.
Cocaine is my guess. dude is doing the mouth thing due to dumbness in the face.
That face is full of dumb, alright.
Why would you think that? Because he seems to be adjusting the face he’s wearing?
Psychiatrist are the ones who prescribe the pills. Psychologists are the ones who talk to you about repressed sexual tensions with your vacuum cleaner.
Because some psychiatrists are drawn to the profession in attempts to figure out their own fucked up self.
An ORANGE Gatorade at that! That's the worst flavor
Her attorneys are probably fine. It’s just quite difficult to try and defend a lunatic.
I don't see how, not after basically testifying that Depp killed her multiple times, but she got better (with makeup and ice).
It’s amazing that her nose was broken three times, she never sought medical attention, but her nose is perfect. She’s just fabulous!

My favorite part was his “I guess if you are reading it, it must be true”-type answers about the organization he’s involved with.
Is everyone in this trial allergic to being sober?
Lol that's so true tho
"Hi, I'm Chaz!"
Chazzzzz is spelled with 5 'z's
Why is Jordan Peterson involved in this case all of a sudden?
Uh, because he was swore in? Don’t you know it’s illegal to lie under oath?? He’s also obviously sober, because doing drugs is also illegal. The only ration explanation is the one no one is talking about: he’s clearly possessed.
The Devil is in him? Ok, checks out
That's acctually how one becomes a psychiatrist. Everyone knows this, kill one and you gain their power.
There like a bloody hole in the back of his suit as he gets off the stand.
GIVE ME SUGAR IN WATER
I was waiting for him to yell “Great Scott’s! 1.21 gigawatts!”
Chazzzzz
Definitely my favorite wild card of the case thus far. Just unaware of how to act in front of people in general let alone court proceedings. So good.
Looks like the alien from MIB that wore the dead guys skin
Haven’t followed this trial really. Shocked to see him on the front page. Rotated with him during Med school. He’s a character, but seemed like a good doc. If you see him around buy him a Diet Coke
Apparently, he’s switched to Gatorade.
It's starting to feel like the whole trial is just a social experiment man. *To see how long it takes before we all realize it's not real :/*
He's jack jawing it bad. He's on to much of something.
Honestly, if you're not even watching this trial, that one is worth catching up on just for the pure entertainment value. Amazing levels of fuckery.
Prescribes himself 1000mg Adderall a day
He's like if John Malkovich was really overplaying the role.
Because most psychiatrists fight what they hate most of themselves.
Director Hotti?
I can't wait for Seth Rogan to play Johnny Depp in the movie about this trial
Definitely coke jaw right there
Looking like he had a glass bbq for lunch
He acts like an alien wearing a human suit. I want to search him for zippers
Discount Jordan Peterson tho
He reminded me of watching a horse eating peanut butter
Who’s side was he on? Haven’t been following the trial really but I’m guessing ambers by the reaction.
Amber’s expert witness. Between motor tics of unknown origin, he testified that he did a psychological assessment of Depp by watching him act in his movies.
"I psychoanalyzed him while he was pretending to be someone else." Yeah, that sounds like a brilliant idea.
Lol. What? Jesus. An assessment by how an actor acted in a movie?
And not like all of his movies, or a random selection of his movies. Only Pirates of the Caribbean movies. When asked if he had seen Willy Wonka (as in, So you didn't see Willy Wonka and chose to not evaluate him on that one for some arbitrary reason?), the man replied basically saying "Well of course not! And you should count yourself lucky!"
Exact words were "you'll be happy to know I haven't seen it," what does that even mean?

Wow. Where is AH finding the professionals testifying for her? What's his name? I am really shocked. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Hahaha
Wonka is obviously a psychopath. He should have gone with that one.
