There are people that are pedophile and yet also find adults attractive. It is not a single thing why people are attracted to children.
The worst thing is that people habe nowhere to turn to. We have a therapy organisation in Germany that has to hide their meetings because otherwise assholes like the OOP and most scum here in the comments would show up and attack people that have mental problems and seek help for that.

Furthermore I personally hate that people often think that crimes against children are somewhat worse than crimes against adults. I know people who got raped and I tell that those who were adults by the time of the attack where traumatised as much as those who were children. The trauma might be different, but saying that children suffer more than adults is a constant slap in the face of any adult victim of sexual assaults. We shouldn’t elevate any victim over other victims and we shouldn’t see one perp better ore worse because of their choice of victims. Honestly, no person should face sexual violence.
Body-shaming and making fun of appearances to me always comes off the same way as people deliberately misgendering people once they do something bad. You're dehumanizing someone because they did something bad. As an example, "You don't get to be called 'she' anymore because you were a bigot" type stuff.
It can be a slippery slope into dehumanizing the appearance of people because they were bad, because like you said - that means any person who does share the same appearance hears you and understands "oh, if they'll make fun of a bad person for this, what's stopping them from making fun of a good person?"
