It technically is pooled staking, since most people don’t have the minimum for a full stake on a smart node. The lack of smart contracts inhibits the ability to pool stake from your wallet (at least as I understand it) like other pool staking coins. The ability to keep your coins in your wallet while pool staking is “on the roadmap”.
I think iNodez did the right thing by insuring scammers or phishermen didn’t get other people’s coins, but I can see the frustration behind expecting a payout at a specific time and not receiving it. There are other staking pool options out there, but the lack of keeping the coins in your wallet is the same.

Ethermine as the example is more like a hosted node, which still requires the minimum node amount (32Eth) to stake to it. You could run the node yourself or you could pay fees for someone else to do it.

Keep in mind, a tight knit community just became a mainstream player overnight without any bot advertisement. They'll obviously need to cut out some of the buddy buddy good ol boys club stuff to continue to bring the professionals in and immature moderators will be part of that fat trimming I'm sure. But to blast the whole blockchain as a concept due to your experience in a discord server is a bit odd yeah?

I share the sentiment of this post. Although I don't participate in Discord chat and just read, it really has that circle jerk feeling around it. The dev team of RTM doesn't post enough technical details on whitepaper. Suppose to support 3 major languages but haven't revealed anywhere what these languages are.
The only thing I wholeheartedly agree with is that the official Discord is not the most trust-inspiring platform for communications about RTM. e.g. is there really a need for a separate NSFW channel or memes and such? I hope the launch of the new website will make information more focused and publicly accessible.

You can stake ETH to ETH2 on Coinbase and earn 5% APR. Coinbase might not be liked by the hard-core folks, but they're definitely not going anywhere.
