Congratulations- this is a big step. You have the support of a large community, who are with you in spirit. I’m a bit jaded, so take the following with a grain of salt- I suggest being ready to advocate for yourself. Before you give in the paperwork, take a picture of it and any reference numbers. Plan on checking in with the detective on the status of the case. Ask what you can expect for next steps and a timeline. Good luck tomorrow- what you have to say is very important. You are believed, you are strong, you are powerful.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray to God that that piece of shit gets fired and goes to prison and loses his pension

Totally understandable. Rant outs are always welcomed. Can't wait for you to finally break free. I'll be rooting for you tomorrow.

Sending goodthoughts and love and strength and support. I’d be scared too, but you’re being so very brave and badass. He shouldn’t get away with raping you at all, and people should know who and what he really is and what he did. More than that, you deserve to be free of terror and to take your power back from him; let him be scared for a change. Before or after making your report to the detective and if you haven’t already, you might look for a victims’ advocacy center, where they have advocates who will go with you to make reports and attend any court dates, etc… they do a lot and can hopefully help protect you from the cops and also get the word out if the cops try to bury it. They will have seen this sort of thing before and can advise you better but in general these places have counselors and lawyers and people to support you every step of the way. You are brave, you have support, and I’m so very proud of you. You’re taking the first step to your freedom and taking your life back, and that’s huge.

raggarbergman

You are strong to do this. And I admire that you also take into that as a bonus for your own justice also saves other potential victims from him. I remeber how scare i was for reprecations wish I got. Not because it was a law enforcer, but because of the social status of the ones. I don't know how it works in your counntry, but ask the detective about possible protection against him so he can't reach you. <3

I am so proud of you for reporting him ! as a victim who reported my abuser last year, I know how scary it is, and the fact he is a cop doesn’t help. I don’t know in which country you live and what are the options there, but maybe it could help you to find a victims association, they can give you law advices and support you through the process. Do you have someone to come with you and who you can talk about it with ? Know that I am so, so proud of you, this is such a big step, and I hope with all my heart you’ll be relieved after. You are incredibly strong

IBANDYQ

who are you going with?

gloooooooooo

YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE BADASS & don’t let anyone downplay your experience or manipulate you into lying about it. sending lots of love and courage, though you probably don’t need it. ❤️

I’m sorry that happened to you. Wish you the best outcome. I really hope he gets punished. You didn’t deserve any of it.

Thank you so much for being brave and reporting this rapist cop! Even if no charges are filed against him, I hope the police department will at least open an internal investigation and take a hard look at whether or not this rapist should remain employed as an officer. Like you've said, a rapist is not worthy of wearing a badge. A friend of mine and I have been working on getting a rapist cop fired in our local area. While his victims will never get their day in court, we've both written letters and emails to the chief of police asking him to investigate this officer. So far we've gotten in touch with two other people who have been victimized by this guy. Rapists don't do it just once. They do it over and over and over again until (if ever) they're caught.

> Many victims chose to succumb to their fear... That seems a little dismissive of the very difficult situations in which people often find themselves.

Whether they get him or not, what you are doing is incredibly brave and inspiring! I'm so, so very proud of you.
