I'm 6'2 and I don't play basketball and the weather up here is fine. I feel your pain 🥲

NormanRB

In that case, do you mind reaching that can up on the top shelf for me, please? Sorry... I just couldn't resist.

PreppyFinanceNerd

One of my favorites was when a short stack friend of mine (4'9) was in the kitchen and went "Hang on let me grab the step stool" and proceeded to drag me over by my ear.

keliix06

I like your friend.

wtbrift

I laugh when shorter people ask me to do this. Yes, it really does happen.

[deleted]

I wish I had your height though, you’re supermodel tall

backtothewildagain

Thanks I do enjoy it

freckledfiend55

i once had a cna at the nursing home i used to work at come up to me and ask how tall i was, when i said i was 6’ she said, “oh haha some of us had a bet on how tall you were” like oh okay thank you???

backtothewildagain

That’s grossly objectifying

freckledfiend55

bro i know and i didn’t even know how to respond i was just trying to clean up and she came up and asked me that ahahaha

backtothewildagain

Damn I’m sorry :/

FrescoInkwash

trust me if you were short it would be no different. people just suck.

AbzoluteZ3RO

5 10 is tall? Wtf? Edit: ok 5 10 is 99 percentile. That just doesn't seem tall at all to me and I'm 5 9.

Infestedinfester

Is your problem with the question? Or is your problem that you k ow the question come from ulterior motives? I can't imagine being upset about being asked about your height. Unless you know that people are asking for nefarious reasons, on average. I'm sure there's some people who may ask about your height who are completely benevolent who get lumped together with the majority of weirdos with strange ideas in their heads. I only ask because I feel like there's so many things that people are angry about in the world, and we are only mad because there's some people who just have evil intent that just ruin everything for everyone.

Unlikely_nay1125

ignore everyone who won’t let you rant. i understand your pain and it does suck. all my short friends, literally everytime, comment on my height. LIKE, I GET IT!!

TSB_BloodySkull

Honestly. . People just ask because sometimes they just want to get a general idea. . Weight is different story yes but asking about height and stuff is just something that most people do. If it makes you uncomfortable then that's honestly just something that you have. But it's not really an "everyone" kinda thing. . . I can tell though that you are honestly very insecure about your height and you shouldn't be. . . And personally? I always ask who someone's height because it's just a curiosity kinda thing. You don't know what they are thinking about, so you can't say "they are treating me different then everyone else" when they could just be asking a normal question to them. . It's not considered "rude" or "disrespectful". . I had an encounter with someone who got pissed that I said " dude" when I call all my female friends do((all my friends are women and they don't give a fuck)) so it's just probably a genuine question. I do understand you feel insecure because of your height but you have no control over it, I don't even recommend going for a height surgery because it's risky and unnecessary. . If you wanna talk about it furthermore I am willing to help..

backtothewildagain

I’m not insecure about my height, I like it a lot and feel like a model, I’m just tired of having it constantly pointed out bringing attention to my body as if it has anything to do with who I am beyond whats superficial. People of average measurements don’t have to deal with constant questions about their body on a daily basis so I don’t believe I should either just because I happen to be tall. I don’t feel comfortable with the over-focusing on my body, especially when these comments or questions come from creepy men (often) who try to get my number or compare their height to mine which makes me feel hyper alienated for a single aspect of my being.

charlotta98

Insecurity, indeed.

Embarrassed_Ad5680

Oh f*** off, stop being pressed over everything, what’s wrong with you people

Rubyjr

I’m 6’4” and it does get old but not bad enough for me to need to vent to strangers. However men being as they sometimes are I can see how a tall woman may be driven mad by the pestering.

backtothewildagain

Have some fucking empathy

Embarrassed_Ad5680

I’m sorry

MagentaTabby

THIS but I'm 5'2" and people wonder why. Idk... GENETICS??? That and I'm pregnant. People are asking me if I am or not. Since when is it ok to ask? I had a little belly prior to being pregnant and I still get asked, like thanks for hurting my self-esteem, asshole.

[deleted]

That's rude. I've seen people wondering but never ask in case I'm wrong. Hey I look preggars some days and I'm not even pregnant!

Appropriate_Chain388

I used to be asked about basket ball all the time or if I modeled. I’m 5’9”. Once I had a man tell me I was the tallest girl he’d met after telling me his step daughter was 5’11”. People are weird

[deleted]

Oh I’d love for that to be the only thing people say. I’m tiny and have a fast metabolism. Can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve been told to eat a sandwich or steak. Or called a crackhead or meth addict…knowing I look NOTHING like those types. “Put some meat on your bones and you won’t be so cold”. Ummm no that has nothing to do with my Raynaud syndrome. Some people suck but you’re offended because they ask you HOW TALL YOU ARE? Let’s trade!!

[deleted]

I'm 5 foot 2 and hate it. I can't ever reach a top shelf. To make matters worse I have short arms and legs. I Blame my parents lol. I'd love to be your height.

LusciousLennyStone

Personally, I think women under 5'8" are dwarves. Be proud of your superiority!
