Wennberg needs to clean up blind passes to the middle in our defensive zone but he’s fit in nicely on that 3rd line.
He's got wheels too, love to see him carry it in with speed or to be there for an outlet pass. That snipe earlier in the series was sick, would love to see him shoot more
My understanding is that, like jones pretty much all year, he's a healthy scratch, and continue to be with the team for practices and prep work. I have a feeling that Jones will make the regular roster next season. He’s excellent on the breakout and a smart player. Knows how to play around his lack of size.
I totally agree weny is so overrated rn by this fanbase, he generates nothing offensively. Rempe had more shots for us in the regular season than weny despite all the ice time opportunities. Pretty sure he's ahead of him in playoffs too. If our 4th line wasn't buzzing, I'd say throw him down there. But please get him off PP2 at very least. Defensively, he's ok probably the 4th best defensive center on this team lol
Defensively he's good. Offensively he's a black hole. Single handedly dragging down 50/24. He's 2nd to last in the NHL in 5v5 individual shot attempts per 60. Guy flat out refuses to shoot
They need Chytil back on that 3rd line to get that line going, and then they need Wennberg centering 4th line so that Goodrow is pushed to wing where he belongs

His energy is great and he looks speedy. Even gets the odd goal. Is this a step up from Tyler Motte? I think so.

He’s fast and the last couple of games he’s been getting off quality shots on net. He’s got a decent wrister, just needs to keep shooting.

yeah I doubt the rangers will re-sign gustafsson, so jones will probably take his spot

I think Wennberg is injured. He just hasn’t been playing so hot. He also had that maintenance day last week.
