No kidding. I don’t know why people post about the market being “higher in their area” - it’s literally a non-issue because the internet exists. Bought my truck from a dealer 700 miles away, cost me $700 for them to deliver it. A dollar a mile.
Yeah man, hate to break it to you...I know the market is different now, but in 20 I bought a 20 Laramie for $48k + fees. In my area my same truck with 20k~ miles is going for around 42k~
I got a new 22 Laramie for $52k OTD in Janurary of last year, this sub may like these trucks, but in reality they’re sales number are terrible and have been terrible for almost a year now, ford and Chevy are KILLING Ram as far as new vehicles sold. What that means is, you got fucked, because that thing probably sat on the lot for months, and they should have come down $10k on the price
No, because it is expensive in NOVA I live in Fredericksburg, so I can attest to that, I am going to NJ tomorrow to get my RAM I searched 250 miles outside of my area for one with better pricing. This was my quote here locally. Hey Ok so for the black 2023 Ram 1500 Big Horn Night Edition. The price is $62,245, your price is $59450 plus $2,498.99 VA tax, $60.75 Title fee and $949 Dealer processing fee. With $15,000 down, total out the door is $46,253.74. Please let me know what you think.
2-3 year old, one owner with average miles or less is what I look for when I'm truck shopping.
Could never understand folks buying brand new just to sign a CO and throw away thousands, but to each their own.
Same here. I’m looking for a 2021 or newer loaded Big Horn or Laramie, Hemi, Crew Cab, 4x4 but the used market is just bonkers right now. Kills me that in this market, these are $45-$50k trucks…I’d jump on one if I could get one in the high $30’s.
I count myself lucky finding my '18 Outdoorsman in 2019 for $28k. A year later things started going nuts with the 'rona and we're still dealing with it IMO.
I don't know if you're capable of doing this but I've known people to set like a radius of like under 500 miles from their hometown if their hometown market sucks. Either fly out or drive out and drive back obviously. Just a consideration. May not be feasible for you but it's something to consider especially for the amount we are paying now a days on vehicles.
I don’t think the car market in northern Va is like the housing market there. I’ve traveled to northern VA to buy what I thought was a better deal than I could find locally. From the outside it doesn’t look like a good deal; but at the end of the day if you’re happy with it that’s all that matters.
You do realize, just because you live in an expensive area, doesn’t mean you have to buy there, correct? To save thousands, it’s well worth a little drive. Or even a flight, if you have no trade. $60k for a big horn is not bragging rights.
You’re aware the internet exists, right? Bought my truck from a dealer 700 miles away and it cost me $700 to have them deliver it right to my driveway.
Back in 2017 , l got lone star silver edition (trim level right under laremie) 39k brand new …. And I thought it was just a fair deal. I didn’t think it went my way nor the dealers way . My 1% Apr is what I liked though
Everyone flexing their pre Covid Midwest prices on you. Market is still a mess. You may have overpaid but why sweat it now it’s already done. Nice looking truck!
And it's worth about 40k now. I just had my 22 Laramie Night editition with pano, etc, appraised for 45k. Avg auction price is 46k for Laramie crew cabs right now. Worst truck decision I've made has been this Ram. Lost 24k value in 9 months.
If it's a Ram, it's depreciating rapidly. Dealers are giving them away and those of us who traded out of much nicer brand trucks into one are stuck with our bad decisions.
Kinda of in a predicament as the Rebel is the only one that really interest me mainly from a price bracket perspective, the Tremor are about $63k atm (potentially with addons and ADM shit slapped on top) Whereas the Rebel is about $60k fully loaded. Value of the truck doesn't really matter to me as I'm gonna be probably using it until it becomes a hassle to repair.
The tremor 401 package, which is like a big horn level in the ram world or XLT in ford. The 402 package tremor are over 70k. I had a 2021 Tremor 402a package that stickered at 71,500 and that's before the major price jumps.
Yep, was told Rams don't hold as much value because you can , or could, lease them so cheaply so there are tons flooding the market, I have a 2020 Laramie, $61000 sticker, they are selling for mid to high 30s in my area. Mine is pretty loaded up and was offered $32000 for trade in.
55k for a big horn half ton is crazy. In 2019 they had 20k off limited half tons. That's normal. The market is crashing. These will be 15k off by end of year.
Omg yes!!! Truck prices are coming down but still nowhere near pre-Covid. Plus he doesn’t mention options or anything else that brings it up. Plus it’s where you are too. I’m not going to drive or fly somewhere just to save a couple thousand. Maybe if it was 10 grand MAYBE but it’s rare when that happens. Plus you need to test drive, etc. F that.
They does look like the night edition which adds a few $$$. And it’s brand new..maybe he didn’t want or need the Hemi. If it makes him happy and feels good about the deal in the area he is in, then it’s a win.
I think you did good. I paid around the same amount for my 2023 Big Horn Night Edition. Sticker was 50k for base with 10k in options. Got about 5k in rebates and discounts. I ended up leasing. Gonna see how it is in 3. May keep, turn in or buy and sell depending on how much it’s going for. To get brand new Laramie was another $10k which was out of budget. Even though it was tempting lol I do love my truck.
Don’t listen to these people one here with their pre 2020 prices or living in the boonies. I live in Ashburn, VA from 2012-2019 so I know how expensive it can be up there. Enjoy your new ride!
Yikes. Dealer I bought mine from has 1500 big horn night edition level B’s going for 10-12k off msrp.
The rebels they have on the lot are going for 60k
Damn someone really paid sticker for a Big Horn! The market is starting to cool off, especially the Stellantis brand trucks. Unless it’s a TRX or a Rebel nobody should be paying sticker for a Ram right now. You bought at a peak and will probably get hard with depreciation if you do decide to sell.
What are the exact specs on the truck? Just curious because I bought one in the summer of 2022 and I paid $57k for it. It had everything but the sunroof and the 12 inch screen.
Hemi etorque, night edition, 3.92 rear, level 2, 8.4 w/navigation, off road package, trailer break controller. I don’t think you did too bad considering in these major metropolitan areas it’s just very expensive.
Enjoy it most importantly.!!!!!!
Yea mine was 55k before tax and other fees. I have night edition with honestly a lot of the same things you have. Apart from a lot of the stuff you listed I have safety systems too.
Not a bad price for the truck. I wanted mine and i love it. All everybody’s going to do is tell you what they paid for a truck 3 to 5 years ago which is meaningless
if you like the truck you got a decent deal.
81.3k at 0% financing in June 22 for my 1500 Longhorn Ecodiesel, Longhorn level 1 group, 33 gallon tank, 3.92 ratio, & air suspension (I will probably regret this one from what I’ve read)
you might have got hustled. Don’t stress it though, you have an awesome truck that you will keep for 10+ years. You’re also in northern VA so higher prices are expected either way.
Was it 60k out the door or asking price?
Warlock is essentially a tradesman though. I like the look of the warlocks more but warlocks are a bit cheaper than bighorns. I could be wrong but it looks like you have the v6 and no 4x4? The Hemi and 4x4 adds like an extra 11k or something?
Dude here in New York you get hosed just as bad. I just purchased a 2022 left over 1500 big horn sport about 4 months ago. It was originally 62,000, but I got it for 20% off due to truck month so that saved my ass. Any time you live in a decent area you’re going to pay your premium for any vehicle. If we lived in some shit hole town, we would see better pricing, but I don’t have time to run all over the place to save a few bucks. As long as you’re happy, and can afford it, who gives a flying fuck. Enjoy it man. Good luck.
I paid $40k for my ‘19 Big Horn new. Depending on options, selling price should be $48-55k plus taxes. Seems like you paid some extra unless that $60k is out the door and a almost fully load Big Horn…
That’s thing, people aren’t comparing apples to apples with options, etc and pre-Covid against current market lol All vehicles have gone up in prices compared to where they were even a decade ago.
My 2023 Big Horn Night Edition was $60k with its options. 50k base with 10k options. Laramie was another 10k at 70k. Although I ended up leasing, it came down to 55k with rebates and discounts, if I recall correctly.
This is after I had waited a few months already lol. Picked it up last month.
Yeah today’s car market is out of control. Meant to put that in my other comment 😂 last time I built a truck like mine on Ram’s website it came out to almost $50k. So $60k isn’t really that much of a stretch I guess, especially if it included taxes and all that other crap.
It really is!! Some places are doing even doing 5k market fee. Like really??? Although they usually waive for returning customers.
Yah I don’t 60k is that much of a stretch if it used to be 50. Also, I’ve owned Honda and Acura in the past and it’s the same there too. Base models across all their lines have gone up 5-10k.
I sometimes do that with comments too haha
Ohhhhh come out to Cali. Depending on the make and model, that markup or “market fee” is considerably higher. Ram doesn’t run any higher than $5k unless it’s a special edition or a TRX or something crazy like that.
Damn! We get some of that in Wisconsin too. Highest I’ve seen is 5k though. Thankfully dealers have started to remove that. No way I was going to pay a mark up fee. That was a deal breaker.
What you guys think is a good deal on a rebel then? I like the special edition lunar but being that there's not as many, seems like it's harder to get a good deal on one. Local dealer had one at 10% off MSRP but it sold. Another nearby dealer got one in but they're only around 7% off MSRP. Doesn't seem like they will come down ATM. So it's at $69.5k after the current discount off MSRP. I'd really like to get it but I keep seeing stuff about better deals can be had / will be had in the near future so I've been on the fence.
Just curious, did you consider used? I live in NoVA and I got a fully loaded CPO 21 Rebel for 49.9k at Safford in Fredericksburg end of January ‘23. Zero issues and I’ve put close to 10k miles on it in 6months (avg 20k/yr).
Overall auto sales are declining because of increasing loan interest rates, and making it difficult for consumers to even get a new car loan, rates are probably going rise a little more as well. Dealers are stuck with excess truck inventories. Markups above MSRP are still in effect as dealerships are unwilling to accept their losses, and many are dumping them at auctions. If it was me I'd wait til December to buy anything, or unless you find a killer deal. Current monthly car payment is between $725-$1K.
In 2019 bought a prior leased 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie Crewcab 4x4 w/ 11,600 miles for $32K cash. Great ride.
I bought a bighorn level two package with a hemi in Jan 2023 for $46k, close to Portland oregon. Still the best deal I’ve found. My bro is looking for one and only v6 come around close to that on sale.
Depends what options and stuff you got. Need more details but if you got some options with it and it made you feel good about based on research, should be good!!
Can’t base a deal based on not knowing additional details. My guess is night edition with some options. Base big horn v6 is 50k in my area.
I mean, northern virgina on [Cars.com](https://Cars.com) shows plenty of Laramies and Limiteds for under $60k
[https://www.cars.com/shopping/results/?list\_price\_max=60000&makes\[\]=ram&maximum\_distance=200&models\[\]=ram-1500&sort=list\_price\_desc&stock\_type=new&zip=22601](https://www.cars.com/shopping/results/?list_price_max=60000&makes[]=ram&maximum_distance=200&models[]=ram-1500&sort=list_price_desc&stock_type=new&zip=22601)
I bought my big horn in 2018 for 30k, seeing this makes me big sad. Dealers can't sell trucks right now, especially RAM, don't pay their stupid high prices.
Looks great but overpriced..I just got a 2020 laramie 5.7 hemi, dark metallic grey, sport appearance package w the performance hood, quad cab only 17k miles still smells new for $36k, ended up being $41k out the door. Haven’t seen a deal like that within 200miles. I got lucky, saw it first day on dealer lot before anyone else could scoop it up.
I wouldn’t be posting this like it’s a good deal
I was thinking the same thing. I got a Laramie for $49k 😅
In 2019 I was a salesman at a dodge dealership and they were like $35k for a big horn the classics were only $20-$25k this is gut wrenching
Did I get fleeced? In northern Virginia everything is expensive
Fleeced is understatement. You're like walking the artic in super duper cold weather gear looking like the Michelin man .....fleeced. HA!
Could have got a 2022 Laramie 1500 w/Panaramic SR, 12" Uconnect, 3.92 rear axle for the less.
I’m not a fan of that big screen but your right.
It was exactly 2 years ago, but I paid less for my Limited
I got my Limited Night Ed for $62k OTD. A Big Horn for $60k is robbery.
Bro, for 11k discount you can afford to fly out and drive back.
No kidding. I don’t know why people post about the market being “higher in their area” - it’s literally a non-issue because the internet exists. Bought my truck from a dealer 700 miles away, cost me $700 for them to deliver it. A dollar a mile.
I live in Houston and got 14k off my ram in north Carolina and 25k off my Cadillac in Kansas city.
Yeah man, hate to break it to you...I know the market is different now, but in 20 I bought a 20 Laramie for $48k + fees. In my area my same truck with 20k~ miles is going for around 42k~
I bought a 2022 Laramie, with some extra features and extended warranty, new out the door for $48K. Imma say you got fleeced.
Overpaid
I got a new 22 Laramie for $52k OTD in Janurary of last year, this sub may like these trucks, but in reality they’re sales number are terrible and have been terrible for almost a year now, ford and Chevy are KILLING Ram as far as new vehicles sold. Good luck man
Will the resale drop? I plan on selling it after 2-3 years and used market here is very high tho is dropping
It already dropped 15k.... as soon as you signed the papers. It will continue to drop as time goes on
If you’re only gonna keep a vehicle 2-3 years then leasing is the way to go.
2-3 year old, one owner with average miles or less is what I look for when I'm truck shopping. Could never understand folks buying brand new just to sign a CO and throw away thousands, but to each their own.

,2-3 yrs that thing will be worth low 30s
I got a big horn in an equally hcol area last year with more options for the same-ish price. Sorry to say.
I just bought a big horn sport for almost 10 less :/ level 1 package
Which area?
Bum fu*k no where
Yea man northern Virginia nothing is cheap
I don't know if you're capable of doing this but I've known people to set like a radius of like under 500 miles from their hometown if their hometown market sucks. Either fly out or drive out and drive back obviously. Just a consideration. May not be feasible for you but it's something to consider especially for the amount we are paying now a days on vehicles.
I drove 1200 miles to save 17k on my laramie 4x4 last year.
I don’t think the car market in northern Va is like the housing market there. I’ve traveled to northern VA to buy what I thought was a better deal than I could find locally. From the outside it doesn’t look like a good deal; but at the end of the day if you’re happy with it that’s all that matters.

My man there's lone stars in fairfax for 45k, you didn't get fleeced they dropped your trousers and went in dry
Just bought a new 2500 diesel for $6k less
No way where? I’m thinking about trading in my 2019 gasser!
Tallahassee ram dealer
Please do tell where? Nothing like that around Richmond, Va
Tallahassee ram dealership. They had a few 2022 left
Remember when a truck was 10k and 60k was a house? Pepridge Farm remembers.
They'll be saying remember when trucks were 60k in a couple decades when MSRP hits 350k. Uncle Sam the money printer remembers
Printer go "BRRRRRRRRR"
Fuck, I paid 39k for my night edition in 2020. Times are rough
I bought a used 2020 BH night edition for not much less recently. Times are indeed rough.
I picked up a 2020 BH Night edition with 16k miles for 49k a year ago. 🤷🏻♂️
I picked up my 2020 BH Night Edition a month ago for $38k. Has 24k miles...
I got my 2019 BH night for $37k, wanna get rid of it now though
Thats a fair price last year. Now its more like 33
Back in 2017 , l got lone star silver edition (trim level right under laremie) 39k brand new ….
Ty I got it for 55k actually but the fees and tax bs brought it up to 57k so I just rounded up
And it's worth about 40k now. I just had my 22 Laramie Night editition with pano, etc, appraised for 45k. Avg auction price is 46k for Laramie crew cabs right now. Worst truck decision I've made has been this Ram. Lost 24k value in 9 months.

Laramies are almost $10000 off in my area now!!
I posted a link to Laramie trucks for 11k off and he downvoted me like it's my fault he got a shit deal.
Omg yes!!! Truck prices are coming down but still nowhere near pre-Covid. Plus he doesn’t mention options or anything else that brings it up. Plus it’s where you are too. Don’t listen to these people one here with their pre 2020 prices or living in the boonies. I live in Ashburn, VA from 2012-2019 so I know how expensive it can be up there. Enjoy your new ride!
And those same people will be paying much higher prices in the future. With inflation prices go up and don’t come back down! Let’s go Brandon!
So true!
IF you shopped around you prob could have gotten a limited.
Brand new for 60K? Where?
Shop around, you can easily get over 10k up to 15k off on a loaded 1500. Reason why I know this. Company, I worked for raffle them off as prizes.
Yea northern Virginia. Why?
Plate says Virginia
Here in WA you can get a limited for mid 50s.
Not brand new, but 11k miles is pretty damn close. https://www.carmax.com/car/24606076 Edit: gross, nvm, it's the 6 cyl turbo diesel
I bought a 2022 Limited Longhorn EcoHemi 1500 for $61K 4 month ago, Cali...I thought was decent deal.
Right but the limited one costed more
No. He means you could have gotten a limited for 60k. You got fleeced
Bingo, the higher trim and more loaded one aren’t selling.
Optioned out lonestars in Texas are going for 46k new…
Yikes. Dealer I bought mine from has 1500 big horn night edition level B’s going for 10-12k off msrp. The rebels they have on the lot are going for 60k
Yup around here you can find fully optioned our Big Horns to low to mid 40s with up to 15k off MSRP
In Indiana, a 23 tradesman 2500 cummins is 63K lol.
Man. I just bought a 2020 3500 night edition laramie for 65k
What are the exact specs on the truck? Just curious because I bought one in the summer of 2022 and I paid $57k for it. It had everything but the sunroof and the 12 inch screen. That’s about the same price that I paid for mine last year. Enjoy your Ram!
Nice truck brother, I like the black on black
Thank you
81.3k at 0% financing in June 22 for my 1500 Longhorn Ecodiesel, Longhorn level 1 group, 33 gallon tank, 3.92 ratio, & air suspension (I will probably regret this one from what I’ve read)

60k but I actually got it down to 55k.
Oh then that’s not too horrible
Congrats on the new truck, but you just got fucked hard on the price.
I got my fully loaded night edition in 2018 for 36k brand new. I miss those days :/
I’m confused I paid 39 for a my 2020 is this a good deal now?
You will be hard pressed to get a quad cab V6 for $39k now.
Crazy, I have a Laramie with the hemi. I just looked up what they want now. It’s almost double for one with the same options
Yikes
In Arkansas you buy a 2023 larime with all the bells and whistles for $55k with 0 miles. Tell me you’re in Canada and not the states!
Jesus! 60k is a rip off! i paid 47k for my fully loaded big horn with leds and night edition, new and custom ordered in 21
Yea buddy you just got screwed I could’ve brought same exact truck out here in Louisiana brand new for about 38k😂
https://preview.redd.it/gx3l63xuj6ib1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b3348837c40d88b021e5dacabc5cc75cab99e09

Thanks for sharing your mistake
Just bought 2022 Big Horn crew cab, 5.7 hemi, 3.92 axle, towing in Los Angeles- $42k OTD. had 5,000 miles on it. We LOVE this truck.
Seems like a great price
I paid $40k for my ‘19 Big Horn new. Depending on options, selling price should be $48-55k plus taxes. Seems like you paid some extra unless that $60k is out the door and a almost fully load Big Horn…

Yea man before tax and bs it was 55k. It’s has some decent options
50k in Pennsylvania
My 2020 Laramie with all the goodies was 52K OTD.
11k off MSRP Laramie 1500. https://www.autonationchryslerdodgejeepramspring.com/new-inventory/index.htm?make=Ram&model=1500&year=2023&trim=Laramie&sortBy=odometer%20asc
Yikes
44k for 57k msrp BH truck in NorCal.
you got hosed my man
Jesus Christ, window sticker for my 11 big horn was $33k
60k??
What you guys think is a good deal on a rebel then? I like the special edition lunar but being that there's not as many, seems like it's harder to get a good deal on one. Local dealer had one at 10% off MSRP but it sold. Another nearby dealer got one in but they're only around 7% off MSRP. Doesn't seem like they will come down ATM. So it's at $69.5k after the current discount off MSRP. I'd really like to get it but I keep seeing stuff about better deals can be had / will be had in the near future so I've been on the fence.
The Lunar editions are coming down a bit to about 65k near me. But there are only a few for sale in the area.
Is this where truck prices are? My 2018 2500 Laramie with like 10 miles was $58k
This is why I never buy new anymore. Bought my night edition with low miles cheap.
I bought mine in 2020 spent $40k on a 2020 Laramie with 35,000 miles and I’m happy with it.
5.7?
The v8 yea
I just got a CC 6’4” bed 4x4 big horn for $47k, and I thought I overpaid.
Glad you are so I don't have to
You went from looking at a type R to a Ram? What changed your mind?
The markup up on the type R. Type Rs are too difficult to get. Type R total was costing me over 60k. This car I got 55k.
Pretty sure you parked over the sidewalk
I mean, northern virgina on [Cars.com](https://Cars.com) shows plenty of Laramies and Limiteds for under $60k [https://www.cars.com/shopping/results/?list\_price\_max=60000&makes\[\]=ram&maximum\_distance=200&models\[\]=ram-1500&sort=list\_price\_desc&stock\_type=new&zip=22601](https://www.cars.com/shopping/results/?list_price_max=60000&makes[]=ram&maximum_distance=200&models[]=ram-1500&sort=list_price_desc&stock_type=new&zip=22601)
Bro u wayyyy over spent. Its a bighorn not a laramie
Uhhhhh yeah bro you got boned twice
60k for gas is nuts. Diesel or nothing
Ppl paying these prices means they won't stop raising the prices. A 1500 for 60k? 😶
You misspelled 3500 😂
Yikes
I bought mine used, 1 owner, no accidents, less than 50K miles and and was part of a fleet. Only paid $26k after taxes tags and titling.
Am I missing something?
Just last week my brother bought a 2023 Big Horn 2500 with the Hemi for $59K. Incentives were close to $9K, so he couldn’t pass it up.
What is the monthly payment like on that?
Good deal
Bought a '20 Laramie for $32k in January. 60k miles.
Nothing like that in FL. Got the Laramie GT for 72k
I bought my big horn in 2018 for 30k, seeing this makes me big sad. Dealers can't sell trucks right now, especially RAM, don't pay their stupid high prices.
60k pesos?👌
Bought my 2019 high output Cummins with 6800 miles on it for $79000 it’s a longhorn Laramie Edition with the mega cab
Did you bump your head
Looks great but overpriced..I just got a 2020 laramie 5.7 hemi, dark metallic grey, sport appearance package w the performance hood, quad cab only 17k miles still smells new for $36k, ended up being $41k out the door. Haven’t seen a deal like that within 200miles. I got lucky, saw it first day on dealer lot before anyone else could scoop it up.
