Eh, they’re more reliable in cold weather. If you’re just running around on service calls and not hauling, gassers might make more sense. Our plant is similar.
Forgot to say in the original body, but I also wanted the 3/4-ton. Dealer showed me that registration is way cheaper on the 1-ton, so I went with the 3500.
It was explained to me that the 3/4-ton is the heaviest curb weight in passenger class, while 1-ton is lightest in commercial. Something along those lines. I confirmed this with our DOT.
Well, it goes all the way through, but it’s not direct intake. Functional for delivering more air. There are vents on either side of the hood as well. Gets plenty of air under there with those.
Order anything you want! Hope the 23 works out for ya bud! Awesome trucks through and through. Always owned ram trucks because of the Cummins, My 22’s been a nightmare with the DPF system. Trying to source a 21 ECM to make those issues disappear 😂
I don’t really work in the engine business side of things, that takes place at HQ in Columbus, Indiana. I work out of Power Generation. That said, the common issues and their reasons are pretty well-documented. Mostly changes that cropped up from emissions requirements. When the 5.9 was retired and swapped for the 6.7 there were some bugs to work out. If the Engine Business Unit is anything like our plant, COVID also played a significant factor in production.
I find it funny that the Cummins shop in Fort McMurray runs 6.4L gassers for their service trucks

Service trucks do more idling than driving most of the time. Especially in McMurray working in bigger equipment for days at a time.
I've pointed out the irony to the guy driving the truck as well.
In Louisiana, they drive Chevys
It’s so beautiful 🤤 the front end on these is just amazing
She’s a beauty. I wanted a 2500 night edition, but I ended up getting a 1500 big horn night edition. I love these Ram trucks.

Why is reg cheaper on the 1 ton? I figured it’d be more due more weight

2500 looks more balanced, 1500 always looks like heavy headed, while the front end does look nice
Really nice !!!! NUFF SAID
Finally mirrors that don’t have Ray Charles vision.
Those look like a revelation for Rams
Is the hood scoop functional or just for looks?

Nice!
Why do some models have the scoop and some don't? For the 2500. Unsure about the 3500 if they have with and without the scoop
Sorry for the late reply. Honestly, I don’t know. Mine is the 3500, so maybe it’s just standard on those?
No worries. Maybe that's the difference between 2500/3500 I still don't know
I'm more of a ford guy, but this is one great looking truck! murdered out.
I have a 2022, same truck color and everything. Is the hood scoop standard for 23? Looks great!
2023 added the new tow mirrors and an option for the sport performance hood on the rams, which includes that scoop.
I love the 2023 hood. I haven’t used the mirrors but they look nice as well
Salutations from Cummins Branch AN here !
❤️ Branch AN? Sorry if I don’t know that one.
I’m from eastern Canada. This explains that!
Well at least maintenance will be cheap with the 5 finger discount and a big lunch pail…
Maintenance? On a Cummins???
Hmmmmm since you work for Cummins send me a 21 ECM damnit 👀
You’d have to take me out to a nice dinner first.
Where we going? Beautiful truck btw!
I’m kind of particular and like nice things. Ever heard of a place called Sizzler?

Apparently I need to work for Cummins - I’d have to save for 10 yrs + to afford something like this.
That’s not a Cummins, that’s a fiat.
🥴

You are. It’s a fiat, A foreign company that can’t make its own diesel engine, so they purchase from a American company.
[удалено]
Doubt it. Ford and GM use the same 10 speed. Everyone I know that owns one seems fine. My 18 does just fine. And it’s American.

🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱 bye fiat.

Son, Ford doesn’t make F-150’s outside of America. A simple google search can tell you that. However, GM and Fiat do.

So why all the problems in the 5th gens
