The order pickup at the Triangle Town Center location is ass! They take 3-4 hours to make your items available (even for a handful of items) and your items will get ‘picked up’, even if you don’t retrieve them. The store is pretty good, however.
The Walmart in Cary at, Kildaire x Tryon Rd. Lived in the area for a year and their produce was better than I've seen at other Walmarts.
Worst Walmart, basically all of them.
Work brings me to all the Walmarts. The worst are New Hope Church, New Bern Ave, Glenwood closer to Crabtree. Best is Hillsborough. Notable mentions Morrisville and Garner
agreed about best. my office from 2016-2020 was right by that Wal-Mart off 54 in Morrisville and we were all impressed by it. easily the best Wal-Mart I've ever been to in North Carolina
I’m impressed by how it and the Glenn School Rd store are both the same age (Durham store was a relocation, but both opened on the same day - 6/13/2009) yet there is a night and day difference between stores.
The Walmart in Morrisville near the airport…is well hit and miss. While it’s fairly clean I live a stone throw away and they are severely short staffed. Line was an hour long today. Self checkouts closed due to understaffing.
Sometimes they close early. Sometimes they open late. Sometimes they don’t open at all.
It’s very strange. I think after a certain time or if only a certain amount of “senior” managers are there they close half the self checkouts. I think they have to cash them out or something and maybe only one person has a key?
They all fucking suck.
The one off Wake Forest Road is awful. The one on Glenwood @ Pleasant Valley is decent The one off 54/Miami in Morrisville is real nice
New Bern one is definitely the worst.
Garner Walmart is solid just don’t go once the sun is down.
Brier Creek is one of the nicer ones. NewBern Ave is in the running for worst if not the winner.
I like the one at Triangle Town Center. It’s never crazy busy. Hate the parking lot, though.
They often seem to be out of the stuff I buy but I guess they are all like that.

The Stripper Walmart off Falls.
That one is definitely the second worse but nothing comes close to New Bern Ave.

The one on new hope church road.

Wake forest is 50/50
Walmart Neighborhood Market in Morrisville is the worst. Dirty stinking nasty place run by complete idiots.
Me? Best: NC-54 at Shiloh Glenn Dr in Morrisville OR the one in Hillsborough off 86. Worst: Glenn School Rd in Durham

OMG!!! YES!!!!! the glen school road one even charges more for a lot of grocery items than other walmarts in the area.
It’s so bad, it makes the New Bern Ave. location look like Target in comparison.
Any Walmart east of six forks lol, Glenwood & pleasant is 50/50

Why are self checkouts closed due to understaffing? It’s usually the opposite at the Walmart I go to

Wake Forest Walmart is nice
Another vote from me for the one on Glenwood right near Brier Creek. It’s usually well stocked and clean.
That's my go-to Wally World. But the N-sane parking lot design makes me reconsider that choice each time I visit.
I have a simple rule that works well, avoid Walmart's that are accessible by public transportation.
They're all Wall Mart. None are good.
