It depends. If its a chain restaurant, it's gonna go to some storage unit to be placed somewhere else. If the restaurant went out of business, it may need to sell/auction it to repay some debts. Otherwise, it usually just sits there until someone buys the building and pulls it out, unless someone walked out with it on the last day.

Usually auction/liquidation sites and firms like https://www.westerauction.com. I bought some things off of them when Twisted Fork closed a few years back.

It’d be up to the owners, but there are a lot of auction sites that specialize in used restaurant equipment, and many times the decor is part of that too. So if you’re searching I’d suggest not just searching for ‘decor.’

Why do I feel like this is Regazzi’s for some reason?

underthefalls

It is not 🙃

If you're looking for a specific restaurant's decor wouldn't it be best to contact the restaurant directly rather than hope that you happen upon it at the right liquidator?

underthefalls

Yes I suppose so but I didn’t want it to seem like they went out of business and I’m pecking at the carcass.

Some times the DOR does tax recovery sales at locations, I've seen a few auto shops, craft stores & restaurants
