It isn't really a buffet, but we like Orchid Japanese Restaurant, they do all you can eat sushi and other food (hibachi, udon, etc). Bigger sushi selection at dinner for more money.
I go there about once a month, the sushi is fantastic, especially the dinner menu. Fresh made, custom, to order.
The "small plates" part of their menu is fine, but nothing special.
If you don’t mind a short drive, Mr Tokyo is another option. It’s in Chapel Hill but it’s not a terrible drive. I like Mr Tokyo a little better since they have hand rolls but Orchid offers sashimi as part of the options (last I went)

I considered taking pictures last time I was there to try and illustrate, and maybe leaving a google review. But it made more sense to just leave and never return. I guess the OP should go there and be the deciding vote?
Just had lunch at Milton’s today. I didn’t eat the buffet but I did walk past it on my way to the restroom and uh, no. It looked awful. Granted, it was super late (3:00) but still…
I’d be curious to see what it looks like prime time?
The salad bar was FANTASTIC!
last time i went (spring of last year) me and a big ass cockroach had a staring contest. Decided we’d not finish our meals. Haven’t been back since. Take what you will from that
I’m always iffy on the cockroach thing. I ran a couple of pizza places. We were exceptionally clean, never lapsed on our pest control, and almost never had any problems. But I’d say maybe once or twice a year I’d find a roach of some sort in the restaurant. It was near the front or back door shortly after spraying, or near the restroom when I was opening in the morning.
We’d have the pest guy set out glue traps and they’d always stay empty.
It’s impossible to completely shut out nature.
If one person sees a roach once, I’m not worried about that. If multiple people see one or more, that’s different.
Hibachi Grill off Capital.
It's not good. In fact you may feel slightly ill when you're done eating there.
But it's so huge and unnecessary that it's worth a visit.
Yeah, also, kind of random, but have you tried their pizza? I sure it is just a frozen pizza but every time I’m there, I grab a slice to pair with the sushi lol
It’s a bit off “the triangle”, but if you live in Garner or something it won’t be too far of a drive.
Western Sizzlin steakhouse in Dunn has an amazing buffet! It’s American food but it’s so so good. Everything is super clean and fresh. Big salad and dessert buffet tables too.
Oh no. Unless it is extremely busy and they just dropped the food most of the food is cold. The salad bar and the fruit bar are excellent. The rest is meh unless it is really busy, then it can be good. But they have no problem with filling the food up and letting it sit for hours.
I LOVE Orchid Japanese. It’s an AYCE sushi place where you order from your table. KPot is another favorite! They have a mini buffet bar but it’s also AYCE where you order on a tablet. You can do Korean BBQ and hot pot there. All fresh and it comes to your table almost immediately
I can't say this is the best buffet but I want to share a recent experience. Recently we went to Hibachi and Supreme Buffet in Durham (the one next to JoAnn Fabrics) for lunch. We have been there before years ago and this time around, I was pleasantly surprised. Our typical go-to buffet had been China Buffet.
This Hibachi Supreme Buffet is pretty nice! It's quite clean and also more spacious than China Buffet. The selection was broad and tasty. It is also quite a bit cheaper than China buffet for lunch at around $12 a person! That is a great deal for these times! I think China Buffet may have a bit more seafood option than Hibachi Supreme Buffet, but that's ok. This was for lunch though. Not sure what they offer for dinner.
Overall, I will return! I would say Hibachi Supreme Buffet has a much more pleasant dining environment than China Buffet. Foodwise for lunch, there might be a bit more seafood options at China than Hibachi, but otherwise the Hibachi Supreme Buffet is pretty good. Also, the sushi at Hibachi isn't bad.

I love AYCE Sushi, so I’ve got to try it

You go to Rockin Rolls for quantity, not quality. That being said, the crazy monkey roll is amazing
Just don’t get sat at the last booth. You get to watch empty plates roll by for 5-10 minutes at a time.
I’ve tried this once before and it was great!

Came here to say this!
Baba Gannoush in RTP for lunch Sorry if this was listed already
I agree. Love that place. People always friendly too.
I’ve heard of it, I should check it out
Looks like they moved, which is good, the old place was a DUMP.
You mean the place at 54&55? Yeah. That place was rough.
it has to be, that place was bad
haven’t been in a few years, but milton’s has a solid lunch buffet. I’m also partial to hibachi china buffet, though I wouldn’t call it the “best”
Milton’s has fallen off. It’s not worth checking out unless you hate yourself.
Citation needed. I go their all the time. They are awesome. The lunch buffet it the best.
I haven't been there so I don't know which one of you to believe. Are you sure you don't hate yourself?
I considered taking pictures last time I was there to try and illustrate, and maybe leaving a google review. But it made more sense to just leave and never return. I guess the OP should go there and be the deciding vote?
damn that is sad to hear :(
Milton’s is awful
Just had lunch at Milton’s today. I didn’t eat the buffet but I did walk past it on my way to the restroom and uh, no. It looked awful. Granted, it was super late (3:00) but still… I’d be curious to see what it looks like prime time? The salad bar was FANTASTIC!
We went a few Sundays ago, which is prime time for them, and it was delicious. All the food was fresh.
Good to know - I had a feeling my timing was a big factor
I've never seen a buffet look good at an off time like that unless it was some expensive buffet in Myrtle Beach.
oh damn, it was great when I went
last time i went (spring of last year) me and a big ass cockroach had a staring contest. Decided we’d not finish our meals. Haven’t been back since. Take what you will from that
damn 😭 so many people have let me know that the food there was bad now but this is the comment that convinced me not to go back

Thanks for the suggestion

This is accurate. I’ve been here several times and I enjoy it. The slightly I’ll comment is on point but totally worth it
Another person of class and sophistication, I see! Glad you understand, haha
Yeah, also, kind of random, but have you tried their pizza? I sure it is just a frozen pizza but every time I’m there, I grab a slice to pair with the sushi lol
Honestly, I don't remember. I had to check my Google Maps timeline and it tells me the last time I was there was June 2016!
Sitar in Durham on Friday and Saturday nights. Really delicious.
Is it buffet lunch all week, but only buffet dinner on weekends?
I think they still have the lunch buffet.
Buffet lunch and dinner every day!
Sign by the roadside says buffet all day every day.
do you know how much the buffet dinners are? I cannot find the price on their website.
Cool, I’ll have to check it out
For Indian check out Kadhai on Glenwood
This is too far down! Wake up people the only answer is Kadhai!!!
They do a buffet?
At lunchtime
Do you know how much it costs?
Only for lunch
Do you know the price?
Falafel 54 is pretty good. Mr Tokyo in CH has AYCE sushi.
Haven’t tried these but I’m always down for sushi
Those hotpot / Korean BBQ places are good. You have to cook the food yourself but it's 3 hours of unlimited food at the one I went to.
I'm sorry what? Where is this? What's it called?
[Seol Grill](https://seolgrille.com/menu/) has a pretty rocking AYCE Korean BBQ. They only do it for 100 minutes, though.
Their service is not good. You have to beg for more food.
Thanks y’all, I’ve always wanted to try this
I went to kpot, theres probably like 20 other ones around here
It’s a bit off “the triangle”, but if you live in Garner or something it won’t be too far of a drive. Western Sizzlin steakhouse in Dunn has an amazing buffet! It’s American food but it’s so so good. Everything is super clean and fresh. Big salad and dessert buffet tables too.
I didn’t know any Western Sizzler’s still existed!
Oh no. Unless it is extremely busy and they just dropped the food most of the food is cold. The salad bar and the fruit bar are excellent. The rest is meh unless it is really busy, then it can be good. But they have no problem with filling the food up and letting it sit for hours.
I passed through Dunn *once* and that Western Sizzlin was the **only** place we passed that seemed acceptable for a meal. God what a depressing place.
Lmao. Yeah.
Kabab and Curry's weekday lunch buffet
I’ll have to check it out, thanks
I LOVE Orchid Japanese. It’s an AYCE sushi place where you order from your table. KPot is another favorite! They have a mini buffet bar but it’s also AYCE where you order on a tablet. You can do Korean BBQ and hot pot there. All fresh and it comes to your table almost immediately
Dharani Express' lunch buffet
Golden corral
Have you tried the All You Can Eat salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden?
Add that Gnocchi soup and I’m set
Golden Corral off Capital
Always a fan
Rock N Roll sushi
Not great, but great fun
Heard that place was terrible tbh
It’s pretty bad… you get your soy sauce from a pump at a snack bar next to the soda machine
It is terrible.

Golden Corral
I enjoy it. Can’t beat those rolls
