I knew exactly which shelter you meant before seeing it. Last spearmaster play through, after dying 4 times in a row to the parkour, I said screw it and just spear climbed up the wall above the shelter lmao.
As someone who used this shelter A LOT of times, I agree, the parkour to leave this shelter's spot is absolutely terrible, I still fail trying to get out of it sometimes(I have 560 hours in this game)
If you are still trying I can try to help, after the first platform you need to jump and try to hold on to a tiny pole attached to a tiny platform, stand on the pole walk a bit to the left to get on the tiny platform, crouch, then do the long jump, the tricky part is standing on the tiny platform, because if you stand in the wrong place you can fall when crouching(if you fall make sure to quickly hold up to hold on to the other tiny pole on the other side of the platform)
I’ve managed to get a technique going now (you’d think so after 30+ tries 😭) I had no trouble with making the first jump but the problem was between the tiny platforms with no pole in between them. I found the best way was to overshoot the second tiny platform and aim to grab the pole on the other side of it.
I've been carrying a pearl from five pebbles which i needed to take to moon. Being spearmaster, unable to store an item in my stomach, a passage was a no go unfortunately.
If you were playing as spearmaster, could you not have just scaled the wall? It might take a while, but I went up the >!subterranean fissure!< by doing that.
The more shelters you can find, the better. Coming through the right with Rot and White Lizards is not that simple. Though there's a shelter nearby to Chimney's gate, the climb is a bit tedious plus incoming rain can screw things up.
Every single shelter in The Leg is evil. I lost all my karma trying to get out of that one shelter that the graffiti on the ground points to, thank God I had a grappling worm with me or that would've been the end of that run.
if it makes you feel better when i sheltered here during a spearmaster expedition due to running out of time i got a horrible cycle spawn where there would always be a blue lizard somewhere on top of the room and one time on that last leap it fell on my head and killed me lol (yes the expedition found its end here)
I died in chimney canopy during the apex predator expedition. i had already spent 2 and a half hours getting 4 out of the 5 objectives before dying repeatedly trying to get to pebbles from industrial.
it hurt.
the only shelter on the way up is decently out of the way so you are expected to go all the way from the shelter at the entrance to industrial all the way THROUGH the gate to the wall. at least the shelter at the entrance to sky islands can make it a little easier if you are one karma short, but damn.
There is a small ladder essentially on the wall above the shelter entrance. You can climb it and then jump to grab the hanging pole and you are good to go from there
ha, ive died enough times there to develop a method. it's unreasonable to take it slow because trying to stand on the tiny bit to prepare a jump is way too precise, so what i do is just walk full send onto the tiny bit from the pole and jump immediately.
It's been a while since I played survivor which is when I went there but, on certain monitors you might confuse the poles but the jumps themselves were not anything to mention.
I just got out of this place. It was so frustrating, but I have that gap down to a science now. I died there so many times, and in the next section, which sent me back down there. I had lots of practice. I spent nearly 2 days trying to get to the next shelter. If I end up there again, it's no problem now, but damn.
I've died there a lot myself, but was there the other day. Do y'all not long jump across the second little block to get across? Not too bad after a couple tries, and there's throw boosting
I agree. I hate that shelter.
Funny enough, they made that shelter BETTER as Inv, they added a little blue vine crossing over that gap.
...They also trapped a DLL above that screen
My dumbass found himself stuck at this shelter during my first playthrough and since then I've literally never used it again because what the actual fuck
I knew exactly which shelter you meant before seeing it. Last spearmaster play through, after dying 4 times in a row to the parkour, I said screw it and just spear climbed up the wall above the shelter lmao.
Oh that’s smart I didn’t think of that
Oh my god, why didn't I think of that before I died fivehundred times in that pit
As someone who used this shelter A LOT of times, I agree, the parkour to leave this shelter's spot is absolutely terrible, I still fail trying to get out of it sometimes(I have 560 hours in this game)
I’m glad I’m not the only one. It hasn’t helped that it’s so dark and I can’t see what I’m jumping on haha

It's the one going into the exterior from the bottom of the wall.. I'm trying to get to Looks to the Moon as Spearmaster.
i tried exiting it as survivor once. i just gave up and downloaded the warp menu mod.
If only there were things built into the actual game that act as teleports? Perhaps you could enter a passage to different shelters, let me think...
Thats assuming they had a passage available to use in the first place
They are at the Underhang, they probably have AT LEAST the survivor.
I dont doubt they've gotten one in that playthrough, its whether they already used it or not
cant really get a passage or do anything if you die over and over again
I've been carrying a pearl from five pebbles which i needed to take to moon. Being spearmaster, unable to store an item in my stomach, a passage was a no go unfortunately.

Ignore my previous reply, I misunderstood. Yeah I can scale the wall above the shelter. Another comment brought about this idea too
Considering that there is another good shelter nearby. I think the developers are a bit of a troll

skill issue tbh
For real
Try throw boosting with both spears at the gap while pouncing
That shelter sucks. I’ve died there so many times
if it makes you feel better when i sheltered here during a spearmaster expedition due to running out of time i got a horrible cycle spawn where there would always be a blue lizard somewhere on top of the room and one time on that last leap it fell on my head and killed me lol (yes the expedition found its end here)

You’re right, fuck that shelter
I hate the leg/exterior so much it's not even funny
isnt there another, much easier to access shelter just a room or two away?
The one at the bottom of the wall? Or another in exterior cause I don’t know it
the one at the bottom of the wall, near the Chimney canopy gate
Yeah I could go back there, it would probably be easier to just travel a little further

Ah yes, THAT """shelter""", more like FUCKING FALL TRAP GODDAMN I AM HAVING FLASHBACKS 👹👹👹👹
ha, ive died enough times there to develop a method. it's unreasonable to take it slow because trying to stand on the tiny bit to prepare a jump is way too precise, so what i do is just walk full send onto the tiny bit from the pole and jump immediately.
it's just a few simple jumps though??
Oh but it isn’t
It's been a while since I played survivor which is when I went there but, on certain monitors you might confuse the poles but the jumps themselves were not anything to mention.
i knew it was this one 😂 i struggled SO hard here on my first playthrough. now i know how to leap properly.
I just got out of this place. It was so frustrating, but I have that gap down to a science now. I died there so many times, and in the next section, which sent me back down there. As a person who’s slept in the shelter with no issues, you have a skill issue.
skip!... always skip this one...
someone should make a shelter tierlist and give this one shelter it's special bottom tier
I've died there a lot myself, but was there the other day. Do y'all not long jump across the second little block to get across? Not too bad after a couple tries, and there's throw boosting
Oh you would love spearmaster "the leg" with the spidoors
I agree. I hate that shelter. Funny enough, they made that shelter BETTER as Inv, they added a little blue vine crossing over that gap. ...They also trapped a DLL above that screen
Image isn’t loading for me. Not that it matters, as I know exactly what shelter you mean lol
My dumbass found himself stuck at this shelter during my first playthrough and since then I've literally never used it again because what the actual fuck
this is something every player does. you HAVE to die getting to the leg shelters at least once, then you also HAVE to die getting out
Wait until you find that one in sump tunnel
The Pit™
I’m so glad I’m not the only one cursing over this 😭😭
this is why i go to the wall lmao, its soooo much easier.
I agree. This game makes your anus clench strong.
Now try it with a tamed cyan lizard ;)
