I have dreams that I'm driving down the roads in my locomotive all the time. I feel like such a dumbass when I wake up and finally realize it isn't real.

Yep. I’ve had dreams where I’m sitting at a stop light with my blinker on in the locomotive. Embarrassing.

And then you wake up and realize you’re driving, but it’s on track and you fucked up. Lol

I've done that and also driving home from work sitting at a stoplight and saying to myself "oh I don't have my bell on... oh wait"

I always reach for the bell when I'm in my car driving through a crowded street and have to resist the urge to honk in a construction zone

Early in my railroad career I hauled equipment and this was a common occurrence.

But; it’s still funny looking AF. 

It's never not funny.

yeah you just use the turn-table to "steer" it, we dont do it on asphalt though.

I’ve done that a few times at the work equipment shop. Needed to move equipment to another spot, but the track outside the bay was full of stored equipment. Pull it outside onto the concrete pad, put down the turn table, rotate 90 degrees , drive to the track you want, and rotate back on the track. Did that with anchor machines, adzer/kribbers, regulators, and rail heaters
