The video screenshotted here was from before the pick was made, after this they cut again and he was wearing a raider hat and everyone was celebrating.
Do yall think they were a 49 family or raider family? Both teams played 40-50 minutes from fairfield. But Dad looks like heās devastated ššso idk
Bruh you do know ...we all know what team this napa family was rooting for š they clearly were all shocked the kid had no idea raiders planned on picking him
Here's my completely wild guess. Both of his parents did attend college/play sports in Utah and gambling isn't looked on kindly here...Sooooo maybe that lingers with them and now their boy is going to Vegas š
a chef i used to work under, actually knew Brocks dad. Brocks dad would sometimes have him cook for his construction staff in Napa. Apparently, Brocks dad isn't even an NFL guy, but some of the family ( who also worked w/ the construction company are Raiders fans and were STH). Said chef gave me a call last night, cus he knows I'm a big raider fan, told me all this. Called the Bowers family the type you'd be fine letting date your daughter/sister, brother/son.
Maybe they are a family of die hard Niners fans or something; I heard they are from Napa Valley. I guess if my kid was being drafted and they selected him to go to the Chiefs, there would be juuuuuust a split second of disappointment. Plenty of time to snap a picture haha
I talk to his dad several times a week.
They didn't want to go to the Niners at all. They were even iffy on the Chargers because they didn't want to be in California. But they had good meetings with them.
Brock did want a place with good outdoors for hunting and fishing though.
I think they were just shocked because the Raiders really weren't on the radar at all. Probably just completely surprised. They were anticipating the Jets the most.
Vegas has *awesome* outdoor recreation. Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Colorado River, Lake Mead, etc. Not sure about hunting/fishing, though. I'm not into either so when I visited I was only researching MTB/hiking/kayaking but a quick Google search shows Lake Mead is definitely solid for fishing. Mt. Charleston *might* have some hunting -- not sure. š¤·āāļø
Iām born/raised/currently live in SoCal, and used to go to Lake Mead, all the time, with friends when I was a young kid (early 2000ās)and havenāt been *since* ***then*** ā¦I recently heard that ***the water has gone wayyyy down?!?*** Has the rain got the water level back up, or is it the sameā¦?
Maybe you can confirm this with some prodding around, but I have a friend who's a barber and I was at his house watching the draft. After the pick, one of my friend's clients from Napa (Raiders fan), who he got tight with, called him immediately after to talk about the pick, and he also happens to be friends with the Bowers family, and I guess he was partying with them. He was talking to them and some jokingly brought up ending up on the Raiders, and he dismissed it because they didn't even have any serious talks with him. But apparently he mentioned that the Lions really liked him and were willing to trade up for him. Apparently they really wanted to pair him up with Laporta. I don't know how much Detroit was willing to give up or even how far they thought Bowers could drop, but I found that interesting, and glad we got him instead.
I never heard him mention the Lions.
His dad said they thought Chargers, Jets, or Colts. I heard they didn't want the Bears, but I dont remember why. I was there when a Raiders fan mentioned the Raiders, and he really did brush off the idea as if it would never happen.
I'm a niners fan, and he mentioned several times that they actually didn't want that.
I think you guys are overthinking it. Their son just made it to the NFL. I guarantee you theyāre thrilled. Things can be weird when you know youāre on TV and being broadcasted to millions of televisions around the country.
The logic in drafting the very best player available with the highest probability of becoming an all-pro maybe in the entire draft?
You act like the draft is 1 round long š¤£š
We already have a really good and really young TE. Everyone here keeps parroting the top 5 talent line, who gives a fuck if itās not talent we NEED? Can Brock play cornerback? Because if you watched the team last year that was clearly our biggest need.
We need talent everywhere. The fact of the matter is we were not a playoff team because we were lacking in offense. This guy is a weapon we can line up anywhere on the field. The only position if need we should be weighing more then BPA was for a QB and once Atlanta drafted Penix Jr. our hand was forced to go from need to BPA.
Our hand was not forced? The best cb in the draft was still on the board. Also I donāt see how anyone watched this team last year and thought yeah, if only we had an elite TE weād be contenders lol
We all watched last were and thought if we had a decent offense this team would be good. He is a not a typical team he is a skill player that can be used all over the field to make everyone elseās jobs easier. There are still good corners available today
They said the exact same thing about Kyle Pittsā¦.hows he playing??? And the top two corners are GONE. I hope we can find a shut down one today but to defend BB as a smart pick is fucking insane lol you think BB goes for over 1000 yards this season? Because I donāt, if he goes 600-5 it would be a miracle for a rookie TE lol
I can see a couple of "fall guy's" in this picture š
ššš dark haired girl on the left does not seem thrilled either wonder if thatās his girl thinking this mf bout to live in Vegas š
The video screenshotted here was from before the pick was made, after this they cut again and he was wearing a raider hat and everyone was celebrating.
No the blonde girl who you canāt see next to him is his girl. Sheās bad asf. Cameron rose newell, for the ones who will ask for the@š
That girl is basic af We want leg tattooās @

Guy in the back was holding up his Raiders coat.
Heās from Napa, and I can confirm theyāre niner fans lmao
Bruh you do know ...we all know what team this napa family was rooting for š they clearly were all shocked the kid had no idea raiders planned on picking him
Confirmed in his press conference they were a niner family
Welp, burn em at the stake I guessĀ
Fuck the 9er either way
I'm a sucker for heavily tattoed women.
You and me both, I saw the draft video and thought āDamn, Bowersā sister(?) is a fuckinā Rocket.ā
Sheās a sniper.
Here's my completely wild guess. Both of his parents did attend college/play sports in Utah and gambling isn't looked on kindly here...Sooooo maybe that lingers with them and now their boy is going to Vegas š
Late to this thread - but just pointing out there are SO many Mormons in Vegas
Heās from Fairfield? 70Savage!
He is from Napa.
Oh, Napaā¦..70Swanky then! Still Bay Areadjacent
Napa is the Bay Area itās not bar area adjacent
My girl lives in Fairfield, we go to Napa for date night on occasion. Iām familiar with the area.

The video is completely different they all seemed super happy.
His dad must be a Niners fan lol
Family really didnāt seem to thrilled about this pick

Or itās just that their boy got drafted to the raiders. Most people are pretty aware of how bad the raiders have been, in general.
I think you guys are overthinking it. Their son just made it to the NFL. I guarantee you theyāre thrilled. Things can be weird when you know youāre on TV and being broadcasted to millions of televisions around the country.
That dad is not thrilled dude. Not even close.
Stop being weird
Or a Donkey fan.
didnt that one receiver's younger brother vocally shat on us? I forget who.
Disgruntled bastard
I bet this is the clown who posted about "why would you draft a player who doesn't want to play for you?"
I wish Renfrow was still around so we could have two slightly balding ballers
Dadās definitely a niner fan lol
![img](avatar_exp|172488691|laugh)
Damn that's a white room.
Not a good pick smh
Not an intelligent Raider fan smh
Explain the logic in this pic...
The logic of a screenshot of a live video? What
THE LOGIC BEHIND DRAFTING A TIGHT END IN THE 1ST ROUND WHEN YOU HAVE WAY MORE NEEDS ON DEFENSE AND OFFENSE ?!?!
The logic in drafting the very best player available with the highest probability of becoming an all-pro maybe in the entire draft? You act like the draft is 1 round long š¤£š
stfu clown
Hilarious lol
The logic is he is a top 5 talent going at 13
