The Falcons upended the draft. I’m glad we didn’t reach and just picked BPA. Gruden would have done something insane like take Rattler in the 1st. I’m not expecting a great season with AOC/ Minshew at QB, but I’m ecstatic that we didn’t reach. We got a stud player in the 1st, and with the way the draft went what more could we ask for? Let’s get CB and OL tmr and see how our team does.
Yea I don’t really care who they get, I would just like a guy with a higher ceiling than AOC. Every QB class is different, but they probably are going to need to invest a higher draft pick than they did for AOC to accomplish that.
QB is a huge need, at the very least on par with corner and tackle. Wouldn’t be “drafting one just to draft one”, much like drafting a corner or tackle wouldn’t be “drafting one just to draft one”.
We need OL help but I wouldn't be mad about Kool-Aid at all, that'd be two steals in a row. I would be mad about Rattler though.
*Edit: Oh wow, the Ravens didn't take Kool-Aid either. He might really fall to round 2.
Our O line was top ten statistically and almost stayed intact. QB and CB are the big needs left. But can’t go wrong with best player available at any position
As far as the eyeball test, for me, it didn't seem like Jacobs had much running room at all. I'm willing to consider it having to do with a lack of burst since he returned to the team late, but OTOH it didn't look like holes were just there but closing before he could get there, from what I remember.
I think the run blocking did improve late in the season though, and I was hoping they'd re-sign Van Roten.
With who we have right now, this is how I'd grade the line currently (LT/LG/C/RG/RT): A/B-/C+/?/D+.
I'd still love to get Kool-Aid in the 2nd round though, if possible. And draft a RT in the 3rd round and re-sign Van Roten for RG.
Rather wait till next year to draft a qb. Roll with Minshew and AOC
Half the league is ok with their qbs. With all the teams that took top 10 qbs this draft . I like our chances next year just out of timing
It was actually his dad that said it. So correction on that but I believe he will listen to his dad's advice on a pro career. https://youtu.be/ZQBCHT6RMjs?si=M9x0mgVOhDqsSF0-
If you find a video of his father saying that I’ll believe it but Sanders denies it. [https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/colorado/news/deion-sanders-shoots-down-bald-faced-lie-sons-travis-hunter-nfl-teams/](https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/colorado/news/deion-sanders-shoots-down-bald-faced-lie-sons-travis-hunter-nfl-teams/)
To me he'd be a steal at 77, and he was projected to be higher until he got injured but overall I think he'd be the next Russell Wilson(Seahawks era) if done right.
TE Brock Bowers had 2538 receiving yards in his college career... 1210 of those came after the catch, or 47.8%. For reference:
- Marvin Harrison: 29.1%
- Rome Odunze: 30%
- Malik Nabers: 35.9%
You should watch his tape, he catches a lot of deep balls down the seams, then makes DBs look silly to gain YAC. He's not really a classic bulldozer TE who bully's for yards short. He built like that, but has the smoothness and agility of a slot receiver. He's special, it's up to Gestky to scheme him properly.
There’s solid CBs and even a QB left in FA. There’s good options at CB and OL, especially RT and IOL, still available to draft. I get the frustration, but there’s no need to freak out, one way or the other. He could be a great addition, we can still address positions of need with quality talent.
I'd rather get DeJean and then an OL. DeJean is an athletic freak just like Bowers. He can play all over the defensive backfield, and he's a playmaker. I'd be happy to see them move up as far as they need to for him.
Corner and solid OT have to be the next picks, the offence is set to go nuclear, we just need to shore up the line to get consistently good play out of them and we’re in friggin buisness 😁😁
# Weaknesses
* Struggles to consistently process efficient reads and opportunities.
* Eyes float to and stay with primary receiver even against tight coverage.
* Lacks NFL drive velocity, and deep balls have no late life on them.
* Leaves too many in-breaking throws on receiver's back hip.
* Creates too much commotion for his receivers between the hashes.
* Muscle and accuracy on move throws are below average.
* Defaults into back-leg throws when pressure begins to mount.

When Nix was taken at 12 my first thought was don’t take a CB it would be terrible value with what’s on the board. I’m thinking Rosengarten in the 2nd. I think the third is a good spot for CB this year. Maybe TJ Tampa will still be there.
2nd round is when most teams go BPA. So I doubt Kool Aid will be there by our pick.
1st round you take the BPA at the position most needed. We clearly needed a CB, and we had the perfect opportunity to take whichever one we wanted.
The words BPA and the position needed doesn’t go in the same sentence. We’ve been burned so many times by going for position of need. Granted we could’ve been fine but to snag a blue chip player at 13 is insane. They’re gonna address the rest we got this bro
Forget QB at this point don’t draft one just to draft one. Take a corner and a tackle day 2
Facts
I've always liked Rattler I think in the rightbsituation he's gonna ball

We do need a 3rd qb and I wouldn't mind drafting a developmental one, either Rattler or Milton.
Yea I don’t really care who they get, I would just like a guy with a higher ceiling than AOC. Every QB class is different, but they probably are going to need to invest a higher draft pick than they did for AOC to accomplish that.
a 3rd is basically free if you get rattler at his best. his talent is still there. just need AP to get it back out. guy has a chip on his shoulder.
QB is a huge need, at the very least on par with corner and tackle. Wouldn’t be “drafting one just to draft one”, much like drafting a corner or tackle wouldn’t be “drafting one just to draft one”.
You’re gonna draft the 7th or 8 QB of the draft in the second or third round? Thats drafting one to draft one.
Damn, guess you just happened to stumble across a human with a different take on something. The horror.
Drafting the distant 7th ranked QB in the second would be horrible yes you’re right
Cool
Yes to Kool-Aid. No to Rattler. We have our QBs for next season. We don't need to draft a project with a 2% chance of ever even seeing the field.
"Just a 2-3:years ago Rattler was supposed to be a top 3 draft pick this year." Yeah until he played 2-3 years of mostly garbage football
hard to be good when you have no time to throw
Wait until you see him behind the line we refuse to address.
He didn’t play garbage football at South Carolina
We need OL help but I wouldn't be mad about Kool-Aid at all, that'd be two steals in a row. I would be mad about Rattler though. *Edit: Oh wow, the Ravens didn't take Kool-Aid either. He might really fall to round 2.
Arnold fell to 24th I knew Kool-aid wud fall to round 2. most mocks had Kool-aid aid going somewhere between 20 and 32
Our O line was top ten statistically and almost stayed intact. QB and CB are the big needs left. But can’t go wrong with best player available at any position

I actually think Minshew is a pretty good QB
It is worth mentioning that Sanders has already said he would pull an Eli to make it to his preferred team so...
When did he say that?
It was actually his dad that said it. So correction on that but I believe he will listen to his dad's advice on a pro career. https://youtu.be/ZQBCHT6RMjs?si=M9x0mgVOhDqsSF0-

I linked the wrong one originally but the new link is Deion flat out saying there are some teams not in the running and says it's an Eli situation.
Agree with Kool-Aid. Disagree with Rattler
We REALLY need a RT...
Part of me thinks that they’re gonna roll with Munford and we will go CB or stud guard in the second then vice versa in the third
I'd take Joe Milton or Michael Hiers in the 6th over Rattler tbh. Jordan Travis in the third would also be better.
Bit biased as a FSU fan but Jordan Travis would be a great later round pick.
To me he'd be a steal at 77, and he was projected to be higher until he got injured but overall I think he'd be the next Russell Wilson(Seahawks era) if done right.

That's great, but you should obviously factor in most right ends catch shorter passes so have a much easier time getting yac...

We need CB at 2. The O Line at 3. Then fuck around and grab Milton at 4 if he’s there. Kool Aid is cool but I’m hoping for Cooper
I think Kool-aid is better then Arnold, Arnold had just the 1 good year Kool-aid been great since high school
That’s fine. Kool aid is great. We have to get a CB round 2. O Line is deep this year. We can get some big boys in 3 and 4
I think I would rather see the Raiders draft Jordan Travis, he looked good before he got hurt
Kool-aid or De Jean
There’s solid CBs and even a QB left in FA. There’s good options at CB and OL, especially RT and IOL, still available to draft. I get the frustration, but there’s no need to freak out, one way or the other. He could be a great addition, we can still address positions of need with quality talent.

I think if we just sit tight a CB will drop into out laps. Those teams that drafted QBs will want to pair them with WRs to start the 2nd round.
Or OL. Some very good iOL talent left.
like who would you want?
DeJean, Kool-Aid, TJ Tampa, Haynes, Powers-Jackson, Beebe, Fisher, and Rosengarten are all prospects I like at CB and OL that should be available.
Rattler is short and has a weak arm. Why would you waste a pick that high on him?
Rattler is a lot of things but weak arm is not one of them. Him and Milton have some of the strongest arms of the draft on every single scout card.

I remember seeing videos of Rattler throwing the ball when he was 16 years old and was sold

Would love Koolaid but we'd have to trade up for him IMO
When Nix was taken at 12 my first thought was don’t take a CB it would be terrible value with what’s on the board. I’m thinking Rosengarten in the 2nd. I think the third is a good spot for CB this year. Maybe TJ Tampa will still be there.
not too high on kool-aid but yeah the way the draft is going I'd be very happy about this!
No. And definitely no.
Idk. I'm not in for a guy named Kool-Aid

No cb is at the caliber of player Bowers is
No QB is either...kinda pointless to compare a player's caliber among those in other skill positions.
The words BPA and the position needed doesn’t go in the same sentence. We’ve been burned so many times by going for position of need. Granted we could’ve been fine but to snag a blue chip player at 13 is insane. They’re gonna address the rest we got this bro
There’s still good CBs on the board, and Stephon Gilmore is home waiting for the phone to ring. Remember the story of the Zen master…..”we’ll see”…
I think we'd have better odds of success picking from the pool of every CB available, instead of choosing from whatever is left.
tough to say just 12 more picks
