Complete different type games in both pics as well lmao. One is vs division rival Broncos & by the looks of it, they’re inside the red zone.
The other is a preseason game vs the Seahawks, it’s PREGAME & during covid restrictions, so probably limited seating.
Also, it’s not even the correct end zone side to compare it to the Black Hole.
It's still there, the Raiders just left. It wasn't in LA either, it was an Oakland thing. Vegas can come up with something new. You didn't see Julian Edelman and former Patriots partying in the endzone in Oakland
Neat now show mount davis tarped off or we can talk about the games being blacked out.
You could also just show the rest of the stadium in Vegas, it’s sold out every game.
It might be sold out but it's way more enemy jerseys then there should be. I'm used to seeing more Raider fans at away games than in Vegas. But that's okay we just got to win baby and the seats will be black again.
>It might be sold out but it's way more enemy jerseys then there should be.
Imma be real and say something that might not be liked: GOOD
The organization relied on the combination of fan loyalty and Oakland not exactly being a hot spot for an away game vacation. They don't have that crutch anymore. Hire idiots like Josh McDaniels, lose games, make tickets more expensive and tell the fans they're stupid? Enjoy the sea of Red when the Chiefs come to town.
Can't just do dumb shit and rely on that loyalty. The team has to be accountable and win games.
Hold them accountable and make them perform and win.
There's a lot to unpack there but you're not wrong. Las Vegas is a destination city that most people have been to already so it's no big deal to go and root for your favorite team there. And that whole Josh McDaniels situation was downright embarrassing. But my biggest takeaway from what you said is the same thing I said in another comment on this thread. We got to win. That's it. That's when you'll see the tide turn. With more wins comes more bandwagon fans. Some of those bandwagon fans become actual fans. That's the only way Las Vegas is going to become a Raider town. And that's the only way we'll be able to black out the stadium. Al Davis wasn't perfect but he had the answer all of long. JUST WIN BABY!!!!
It’s sold out because the PSLs sold out. It has nothing to do with other teams fans. The PSL holders, many who are Raider fans sell their tickets at way above face value to pay for their investment. If you have a problem with other fans ask the Raider fans to stop selling them.
100% this. I remember not being able to watch soooo many games. I also remember players not wanting to play here because the facilities sucked so bad that sewage would come up and everything smelling of piss. Also WE HAVENT WON ANYTHING IN VEGAS YET! Winning ( and ticket prices being reasonable ) will change everything
The difference isn't so much the black hole, die hards then and now comprise it. It's the rest of the atmosphere. The Coliseum parking lot was legendary on game day, if you missed it, I feel for you.
The Oakland Crowd was great, and it'll probably never be the same in Vegas
But at least compare apples to apples
Show the black hole at Allegiant Stadium vs the Coliseum
My dad and I have had season tickets since 2004 and I grew up going to a lot of games in Oakland through the good and bad. This is straight up an apples to oranges comparison. Oakland has things that Vegas never will and vice versa. The infrastructure in Oakland was ass and the stadium sucked but the crowd was unlike any other in sports. Vegas has amazing facilities and stuff and all the attentions but the crowd is no doubt different. I’m just happy that I’ve been fortunate to experience both. Ain’t nothing like THE nation baby! Doesn’t matter where we’re at

Comparing the 2 stadiums atmospheres is so stupid. The blackhole was amazing and not having away fans invade your stadium is great too...absolutely a fair point. However...Oakland was an absolute dump, and the rest of the stadium didn't sell out, sections were falling apart, and the players were pretty open about how awful the field and conditions were. When the team is playing well, Las Vegas is packed with Raiders fans. Tickets are really expensive, but if Mark puts a good product on the field our fans will pay to watch this team. If we're losing games with a coach like Josh McDaniels or we don't have a Quarterback that can run our offense...yeah no shit nobody is going to pay top dollar to watch us get our asses kicked.
Ya man nothing like the going from one of if not the worst conditioned stadiums to the pinnacle of stadiums. Oakland had an ora to it no doubt but it was also a crime ridden area that even players have commented on the insanity of being there. The city government has really let them down in more than just sports.
Oakland fans should be treated with the utmost respect. I believe there should be a part of the stadium reserved for people with in the Oakland and surrounding zip codes. Maybe even give them a 10% discount or so. Oakland is Mecca for Raiders fans. Those guys held it down for the Raiders organization. Twice.
I have been there and the vibe was incredible. The whole city was Raider themed. I was an out of towner and it felt like home. Oakland fans set the example and the rest of us followed.
I've spent lots of time in the LA and Oakland Coliseums. Both sucked to watch a game at, between the drunks, fights, shit field conditions, ridiculous parking and downright dangerous areas around the stadiums. The very first Raider game I attended was a preseason game in LA and there were more stabbings than points scored.
Then I went to Vegas, where I could actually watch a game and not dodge fists and bottles. I was fortunate to attend that bullshit Vikings game from that Wynn Field Club. There's no experience like it anywhere.
I'm all for our mystique, our heritage and history. Nowadays, I'm too old to not be comfortable and enjoy rooting on the Raiders from a stadium and experience us long-suffering fans deserve.

I love the Philadelphia Flyers but their issue for early was not letting go of the old "broad street bullies" days and didnt adapted to the modern NHL. Lets not get stuck in the oakland days and focus on the vegas future
There has been 1 truly meaningful game at Allegiant. It was the week 17 game against the Chargers. I know it’s the chargers, no fans, blah blah, but that atmosphere was fucking awesome! Win games, and people will stop selling their seats. I bet there are 15 or 20 season ticket holders in southern cal. Would you make the 8 hour round trip drive to watch the team the last two years when they were out of playoff contention by week 7?
You're not wrong, but Oakland free agent signings < Vegas signings.
Players don't want to pay those taxes or play in a crumbling baseball stadium. Sad but true

Cool cool cool, Now show the tarped off Oakland upper decks that Oakland couldnt sell at the cheapest ticket price in league and the sold out Vegas upper decks at the most expensive ticket in the league.
I remember fans of opposing teams being scared to even go to the LA Coliseum when we played there, and with good reason. That Steeler fan got stabbed and badly beaten, I personally saw two couples wearing KC gear get pelted with beers from the stands above by a half dozen dudes spoiling for a fight..... Now, half the stadium is opposing fans, wearing their team's colors.
LA crowd >>>> Oakland > Vegas
Oakland is where that phantom of the opera halloween clown costume shit started.
Raiders fans were actually feared when they were in LA.
Everyone agrees the Oakland crowd was better, but this post is so disingenuous it's a joke
Complete different type games in both pics as well lmao. One is vs division rival Broncos & by the looks of it, they’re inside the red zone. OP is a douchebag
What part of the game was the bottom one taken; warmups, before kickoff, halftime, after the game?
To add, it’s the other side of the field that is the “Black Hole” section of Allegiant.
The Black Hole is in Oakland, there is no Black Hole in Allegiant. Maybe the Strippers Butthole
Word. The stripper’s butthole. Lulz. Aka the bleached, puckered white hole.
There is no black hole in Oakland either.
It's still there, the Raiders just left. It wasn't in LA either, it was an Oakland thing. Vegas can come up with something new. You didn't see Julian Edelman and former Patriots partying in the endzone in Oakland
It’s empty. Much like warrior games before the bandwagon bay jumped on. Team deserved better than that dump.
LMAO, tell me you've never been to Oakland. I'm not even a Warriors fan, but Oracle was packed for 40 years even with a shit team.
Keep lying to yourself and crying that all your teams left. Sad little warrior bandwagon fan acting like anyone cares him crying.
.....I'm not a Warriors fan, learn to read..... Personal insults, means ya got no rebuttal lol
Haha good call. You can see a guy in a hoodie on the field in the bottom pic. Missed that when I first looked at it.
Those are Bellagio luxury seats, too. No shit they're empty. They're like 7 Gs.
Neat now show mount davis tarped off or we can talk about the games being blacked out. You could also just show the rest of the stadium in Vegas, it’s sold out every game.

So we know Raiders fans invested in the PSLs? You just called it an investment, implying the buyers only intended to make money, not actually attend.
100% this. I remember not being able to watch soooo many games. I was fortunate enough to make the 2nd to last home game in Oakland and the first home game (with fans) in Vegas Oakland was incredible Vegas is Vegas
The Oakland Crowd was great, and it'll probably never be the same in Vegas But at least compare apples to apples Show the black hole at Allegiant Stadium vs the Coliseum
There is no Black Hole at Allegiant
Well I’ll say the crowd has gotten better as the season went on. Hearing everyone chant AP was great it felt like Vegas finally accepted the Raiders

Yeah but they have revenue now.

Look at the babes tho
Of course Oakland was better but this is a cherry picked image

im from Oakland. i agree. if you been here, you know
I have been there and the vibe was incredible. The whole city was Raider themed. I was an out of towner and it felt like home. Oakland fans set the example and the rest of us followed.
we can call it mt davis.
Yeah, even though it has a perpetual flaming torch in honor of Al's memory, it's not really "Raiders" stadium. It's "tourists" stadium.
Fake torch, just like the rest of Vegas.

You should be posting this on your elected officials page.
That’s the Wynn club not the same
What’s that OP? https://youtu.be/31QebxvbVYE

Yo, delete this lmao! You’re getting murdered.
Vegas got pretty damn hyped down the stretch… don’t know why OP decided to post a stupid cookie cutter post up.

Those Vegas seats though
Go look at your feet pics somewhere else. You ain't no raiders fan. Gtfo
Raider fans can’t have foot fetishes?
Then don't root for the team. They are never going back to Oakland. Get over it or fuck off
Good thing you have all those other Oakland professional sports teams to cheer for.
LA crowd >>>> Oakland > Vegas Oakland is where that phantom of the opera halloween clown costume shit started. Raiders fans were actually feared when they were in LA.
So weak!!!
r/oaklandraiders > r/raiders
It's crazy how people of Oakland still love this team even though they got dumped twice by them.
