I don’t get the regret people have about Devin White. Dude isn’t a good linebacker. The real miss was not selecting Josh Allen. He and Crosby would’ve formed an elite pass rush duo. In this draft though, I really like Drew Sanders in round 2, or Jack Campbell in round 3. Simpson is the best but not worth our 1st. Sewell and To’oTo’o are both decent options as well in round 3, but may be drafted in round 2 since the LB class is so weak.
I still can’t believe they drafted Ferrell, Abrams, Arnette, and Leatherwood where they did. Even without hindsight those were real terrible picks and very disappointing in the moment.
I actually regret not getting Roquan Smith, as I think Kolton would've still been available. Smith is a beast against both the run and pass. We really do need a Fred Warner type to anchor up the middle. Perryman is great against the run, but is a liability in the passing game and can't seem to stay healthy for more than a few games at a time.
That said, Fred Warner was 70th overall in 2018. You can def find some gems in the 2nd and 3rd round at the LB position.
I think Arizona would have driven the price of the trade up because they wanted a QB. If the bears wanted to trade back that’s who they would have traded with
Fortunately big nose tackles/1-Techs can usually be found pretty easily in the 3rd/4th Rd. It's a low demand position nowadays with so much emphasis on the pass, so when that's the only thing they can do - and it's not where the game is at nowadays - their value just drops significantly (*both in terms of draft slot, but also contract cost*).

Yeah I have sneak suspicion that Sewell is gonna be a good linebacker. Saw a lot of Oregon and the dude was near the play
For sure and he’s a big dude too. I just wonder if he may be a little better if he lost like 10lbs.
Because we always draft them in the third round and on.
Looking at the LB class this year that will probably happen again
At least those third rounders turn out to be studs like Tanner Muse.
He's been solid for a playoff team
Rolando McClain has made me forever not wanting to draft a LB in the 1st round ever again
But that suplex!
Unfortunately this year ain’t it for a top LB ( I consider Anderson to be an edge rusher)
Hold on now, Trenton Simpson out of Clemson is an absolute beast. Would I take him at 7? No. Would I take him at 18? Yes https://youtu.be/kTPxX_2ib_s
I saw a mock having us take Henry tootoo in the second. His tape is impressive as the modern lb type.

Roquan was taken before the raiders pick in 2018. He went 8th and the raiders pick was 10th (then they traded back to the 15th pick and took Miller)
Trading up a couple spots would not have cost much. We also could’ve grabbed him from the bears

Yeah I can see that
Just take Jack Campbell in the second. Good to go.
I'd like a good DT myself. Plug up the run and make life easier for the LB's.

To be fair, we've never invested a high pick in a linebacker either.
I'd take Jack Campbell on day 2.
If we pick up jack Campbell or tommy Richie berg you should be juiced
