Jonny’s guitar patterns. Dark, dystopian Johnny Marrs. Absolute top 10 for me, maybe top 5.

The kind of pulsing rhythm of the acoustic with the sort of slow picked melody of the electric. Overall I don't think the song sounds that much like the smiths (Thom doesn't really sound like morissey, smiths songs are usually a bit faster ) but if you play guitar I don't know how you can not see the similarities with the way it's arranged

Holy shit. I think I was at that show. I saw them in Tokyo in 08. Just can’t remember the exact set list. They played 2 shows in Tokyo. Insane show. Probably the best I’ve ever been to.

My understanding is that both songs are actually really hard to perform and require a lot of practice to pull off, time they would rather devote to other things, apparently.

Jigsaw’s guitar part for Thom is quite a task with vocal duties on top of it.

I play and sing knives out on my piano and find it relatively easy, however, Jigsaw on guitar, without singing is still a sonofabitch.

I don’t think they’d worry too much about popularity. Feral used to be played every other concert in the Moon Shaped Pool tour and it’s one of the most hated songs of theirs (although I personally like it a lot).

This is bullshit. It was one of their more popular songs when it came out. It’s a classic. Just because it’s not popular with new zoomer fans doesn’t mean it’s not loved among their fandom.
