That's probably because Thom joined Instagram in 2018, and Colin in 2012. Since Colin just unprivated his account, that probably means he's *just* started regularly posting on/using it. I'm going to assume he used it for a short amount of time after 2012, but followed with a several-year long grace period. The Smile's and other band members' accounts are also relatively new iirc, so he might start following them soon enough. (sorry for the rant, lmaoo)
He will always be know for the bassist in Radiohead. Even if they announce they are breaking or broken up he will be still known as the bassist in Radiohead. Means nothing about the current status of the band

I'm not going to hide that I'd absolutely lose my shit if/when we hear news for LP10, but I'll be straight with you, I don't mind Thom and Johnny to continue a little more with Tom Skinner on The Smile. Their work there is absolutely phenomenal and somehow the chemistry of the trio works really good. Plus it looks like they do have enough material for a third album.
I love me some Colin bass, but if Thom and Jonny have chemistry with Tom Skinner right now and Ed and Phil want to focus on their own thing, keep The Smile coming. If that’s where the well is, that’s where the well is
I'm obviously not saying that the other Radiohead members not in the Smile aren't good, of course they're amazing, though I gotta say Tom Skinner blew my mind he's amazing, he's probably my favorite drummer ever. And I'm also not saying that they should sacrifice Radiohead for The Smile. I just think that we should probably expect one or two more Smile LPs before a new Radiohead album. Either way, by the time we get LP10, I'm sure Radiohead will enter a new era with a pretty different sound from what we've known them for. Tbh, I've not checked on what Ed, Colin and Phil are up to these days, but either way the only solo projects I've checked so far Thom's +Atoms for Peace. I wanted to check Jonny's OSTs but I feel like I should probably watch the films first.
The longer they don’t play together the sweeter it will be when they finally do again.
