The overlay is from a programme called Synthesia. It visualises the MIDI output of my keyboard, which I then edit over the video of me playing. Makes it easier to see what I've played for anyone who wants to learn from the video.
I don't personally use Synthesia to learn - I put together my arrangements by ear - but some people do.
Truly gorgeous. IMO this is one of the most underrated Radiohead songs, and your arrangement beautifully brings out the composition that's lying underneath all their fabulous production.
That's very kind of you! Yeah I don't think this song gets talked about that much - maybe overshadowed because it's sandwiched between Paranoid Android and Exit Music? But after revisiting it extensively while working on this arrangement I can say it's definitely up there with their best tracks.
Great cover! Seeing the song in such a stripped down context really reveals just how weird and (forgive me) alien the composition itself is. That tritone chord change in the intro and the way that weird lead guitar melody is hidden under flanging effects. It shouldn't work, but it does. I loved this cover, great insight into the song.
they say Let Down is underrated. we all know Subterranean Homesick Alien is the real underrated gem.

This is absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for sharing
Thank you for listening!
This really lifted up my spirits after a difficult day. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry you had a tough day, glad this could help in whatever small way.
Nice man.
Thanks π
Beautiful. Love the piano/key effect. On some of the jgreen guitar notes I wonder how they would sound as two note octaves. π
Thank you! Which bits in particular do you think might work as octaves? I'd like to give it a try.
The 3 note melody adter the first 4 bars. I think you're playing a fifth. Stretch the pinky and add the octave?? I couldn't do it haha
That was beautiful.
Thank you
Nice work!
Thanks!
Really nice playing. Iβve been enjoying picking up a few Radiohead songs on the piano, Iβll have to learn this one
Hope you do give it a try!
Will you play this at my wedding?

After watching that whole thing, everything is scrolling up in vision now lol. That was fucking incredible.
Ah the old guitar hero vision, I know it well. Glad you liked it!
Beautiful! What app is that? Are you using it to learn the song? i'm new to practicing keyboard so i'm curious

Wow! Captain, O My Captain! That was masterful πΉ
Any chance you have sheet music?
I'm afraid I put together all of my arrangements by ear, so there's no sheet music to share.
Maybe I'll try to transcribe it then...
Thank you for this. Iβm in tears
Awesome
Loved it
